I had a very good experience with Marco. We have a metal front gate whose electric mechanisms were all shot and outdated. The gate itself is older, but basically fine. He did everything we had agreed on and a little more. For instance, he thought it would be a good idea to extend the existing keypad arm a little further for convenience. It was his idea to make it better and additional cost to himself and beyond what was required. He also adapted his schedule to mine, which I appreciate. I had a problem with my gate, so I reached out to this company. The owner showed up and did some troubleshooting. He narrowed down the issue, but said he would need to come back to complete the troubleshooting. He then charged me $120.00 dollars for the troubleshooting and said that would also cover the troubleshooting when he returned. He returned the next week, after me calling him several times to get him back. When he returned, it took him and his worker about 20 minutes to figure out the problem, which was a bad splice in the ground with the gate wiring. He fixed the issue in about 15 minutes. He then said he didn't have time to do any other work as he was heading to Reno and left me the mess you see in the picture. He then charged me $250.00 for 15 minutes of work. His price was outrageous and the mess he left was less than acceptable. He and his worker could have finished this in about 30 minutes as it took me 45 minutes to complete it. I would never use this company again as they are unprofessional and rude. "The picture speaks for itself". When I asked him why he was charging me $250 for 15 minutes worth of work, he said you're paying for my expertise not my time. This is what $370 get you with this company !!!!! read more

10-Star Service! Marco and his team did a fantastic job on repairing my 40+ year old 1200-foot chain link fence - on a cliff! I interviewed several contractors, but Marco was the only one who knew exactly how to stop critters from digging under the fence - and do it in an economical, innovative way. He also stood out of the crowd because he was knowledgeable, direct and definitely had the age-old "customer is right" attitude. The project was a tough one - on a steep "cliff" to put it mildly - but he and his team plugged along, asking questions and making sure I was happy all along the way. He also installed some electric fencing in a way to keep outside animals from climbing up the chain link fence. His team took the time to change the entrance part of the fencing to black, which meant extra painting. But, they did a great job and with the new chain link black screen, the fence looks brand new - yet affordably done. His team fabricated custom gates and already my neighbor has mentioned not only how nice the fencing looks, but loves the gate on his side, which is actually one of our favorite parts too. Marco took the time and effort to make the gate slant down the slope and reinforced it like a tank! It's the silver gate in the pictures. Marco was great to work with too because of his sense of humor. He laughed at my nonsense jokes and I feel like I made a new friend - not just another contractor to do work. D-Fence just completed enclosing ~4 acres for our farm to keep the deer out. The main guy, Marco, was great to work with - easy to reach by text; met all our calendared dates; and was nice to interact with. His crew was also great. The fence is very straight. They also managed well in our trickier spots (eg around boulders). I greatly valued his years of experience in helping me determine the height that has worked for deer in *our area*, gauge of wire and which was better for us between wood and metal. His bid came in under the four other bids I gathered yet his materials quality were better than two of the others. On top of that after he measured the completed run, he dropped the price as the total length was less than I had predicted. His crew did solid work with the pedestrian and work gates though I decided to go with a higher end gate for our main entrance (from Black Barts). I had approximately 400 linear feet of six-foot high black iron fencing installed by D-Fence around my backyard and garden perimeters. It included a 16-foot wide gate opening (two eight-foot sections) to allow for travel trailer access, a 12-foot wide gate opening (one eight-foot section + one four-foot section) to allow for truck access in back of property, and three general access four-foot wide gates. Marco/team did a fine job and I had no issues. The fence lines were straight and the pitch followed my slightly sloping yard nicely. At first I wanted a wood fence. Marco explained to me that metal would be a better option as we would eventually be stuck with the same problem - wood rotting and needing to be replaced. I was concerned about horses bending the materials - he put a top rail. If you look through my reviews, you may feel I am easy on the companies I deal with. In fact, I am not. We have just been very fortunate and have done good research. After the recent storms that hit Northern California, we had several sections of a two decade old fence get knocked down by high winds. It had been in the back of our minds to replace the fence for increased stability and privacy, but we had budgeted for other work to be done first. With the damage done, we had to reprioritize this work and quickly. We sought three separate bids and ended up going with D-Fence. We were concerned about getting the work done quickly because we have dogs that run around the back yard, but they had several weeks of work lined up. They indicated that they would do what they could to speed things up but we knew we were a few weeks out at the minimum. Yesterday, we got a call from them early in the morning saying that weather interfered with their ability to work on another project so they could work on ours. We agreed, delighted. Two days later, our 80ft long fence and new custom gate are up, beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The team was professional, friendly and, most of all, exceptional at what they do. They finished when they said they would and came in on budget. We quite seriously could not be happier.
