Giving 2 starts because Alexander's made the efforts to fix a walkway gate off the side of my garage as well as a double access road gate on the same side, but ultimately their attention to detail failed after those several attempts. To this day the access road gate still sags and is difficult to open and close. A few years ago they came and built some VERY expensive simple walkway gates and an access road gate. The first thing I said is I need them to be pool code because we were saving to build a pool. The walkway gates were in the area of $900. Time after time the walkway gate would not close on its own and, in my opinion was poorly built. I do appreciate them coming to try and fix them but ultimately could not. I've had to cut some pieces to get the lock to have enough space it would close. I would not recommend them as they could solve a simple gate not closing. read more

Dillon was great at communicating and suggesting how to best install a wrought iron fence in South Lake Tahoe, and was able to do it quickly before the October 15 digging deadline in Tahoe. The installers Demetrio and Mike were also wonderful at communicating and sending pictures of their progress. We're so happy with their work! read more

Really not happy with the quality of workmanship on my Alexander Fence. Dillon sent two young men to install the fence. The Crew Chief that came by to re-measure everything, who said he was going to be here, was not. Most of the panels are sloppily installed. I told the guys to center the panels between to upright posts. They did on two sections, then went back to the lazy way of installing. The photo shows what I mean. Two inches of space from the post to first upright on one side, and then 5" to 6" on the other side. This is NOT a $7,000.00 fence. WhenI asked to have the 24' gate motorized, Dillon quoted me an additional $6,500!!! He never returned several phone calls and texts either. He and his main crew were working on a BIG job. That made me feel like he didn't even want to bother with my job. I am NOT happy with the our fence. I could never recommend this man or his company. In my opinion, Alexander Fence Pros are anything but Pros. read more

Alexander Fence Pros - One side is an inch gap, and the other side is over 4 inches...! Unprofessional Installation. - Fences & Gates Near Me

Dillon and his men were outstanding and their work was perfect! Moreover, the guys working (Kyle and Will) didn't stop working even in the middle of a huge hailstorm! I've included a bad picture but suffice to say, we were extremely happy with this company and would certainly recommend them to anyone. read more

Dillon came out 7/17/24,to to give estimate to install 2 large 12' gates on a steep hill. He showed up early and spent 11/2 hrs putting up gates which were heavy and hard to install. He is a fine local young man and in the end he didn't charge me for the install. Will use him again for more pasture fence installs..If you want a dependable fence company go with Alexander Fence pros.. This is my 1st review in 70 years.. read more

My fence came down in the recent storms. I reached out to Alexander Fence Pros and was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism and response times. I spoke with Dillon, the owner, and he was able to come out and provide me with an estimate. Their prices were competitive and their customer service sold me. On the day of install, Will and his helper Charlie came out to my house. They were able to install my entire rear fence in a quick manner. The workers were kind, did an excellent job, and left my backyard looking better than ever. I highly recommend using this company for your fencing needs! read more

I shopped around and had a few bids from other fence contractors. I was referred to Alexander Fence Pros by a friend and when I called, Dillion (the owner) came out, was on time for the walk around, listened to what I wanted, answered any questions I had. Even though he was just slightly higher (maybe by $120) his start time was half of the next closest bid. They showed up on the start date and were finished within a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend using Alexander Fence Pros read more

Dillon called immediately after a problem we had with our gate to make sure that our issue was resolved. I appreciate the speedy response. He was out same day and the fence was fixed in the same week. read more

Dillon and his crew are absolutely outstanding! I was only going to have the front fence done with electric gate but because I was so impressed with the work I had them finish the entire property which is a lot of acreage! The communication was timely and clear and the clean-up was most appreciated. I'm not young anymore and I'm so glad they took pride in not only their work but all aspects of the job. I asked for a business placard which I am proudly displaying on the fence! Please consider this company, you won't be disappointed! read more

The guys were great! Dillon came out and went over all my options and then Joe was on top of it all and went over it all again with me on options and what we thought would be best for what we were wanting to get done with our automatic sliding gate. Really happy! read more

Dillon and his crew built me a great looking fence a year ago that started to age a lot quicker than expected, some of the knot holes in the pickets were coming out. I contacted them to see if they could do anything about it and Dillon sent his crew over to replace the pickets I was concerned about as a courtesy and it looks great again! While Dillon wasn't required to perform this work because it was just an aesthetic issue he offered to take care of it, great customer service! read more

Alexander Fence Pros have done an amazing job creating a fence on my new property in Applegate. I asked for a large area to be enclosed.so my two adventurous beagles are prevented from running away. The guys did an awesome job with half of the property cattle fence and the other half two rail fence. The very professional team spent an extremely hot week creating a beagle proof fence with four gates leading off and into the rest of the property. I will be recommending Alexander Fence Pros to any one looking to build a secure and attractive fence. read more

After meeting with many fence companies my husband and I chose to go with Alexander Fence Pros for our project. They installed all of our iron fencing and 2 solar operated gates. The owner and all of the workers were great to work with- personable, hardworking and reliable. Quality work and competitive price! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for fence or gate install. read more

Alexander Fence pro treated our project like pros. I'm sure it was a smaller job for them since it was replacing an iron fence around our pool area, but we were well taken care of. Everything went smooth with no issues. The end result looks great and they were quick once the job started and professional. read more

Alexander Fence Pros installed our fence for our pool. It was a wrought iron fence. They're a very courteous company. We got different quotes from other companies and he was the most reasonably priced. Quality and craftsmanship was definitely great. However, we did not pass inspection with the fence. We requested 2 entry gates into the pool. The one that failed inspection was due to lack of hardscape needed under the gate. Gravel does not account for hardscape since a pet or child can dig through. We were not made aware that this would be an issue during this process. This is something any contractor should address when installing a fence for a pool for those that are not aware. We would've added concrete to this entry if we had known it would've been a problem. read more

This is a long review. However, seeing as I'm only giving one star, I feel as though a should justify such a mark. We, originally had scheduled the crew to come out and start work on a Tuesday. However, that morning, I received an email from Dillon saying that the vinyl posts for my job had not yet been delivered, and the posts will come in the next day on Wednesday. Thus pushing the start day to Thursday . When the crew did arrive on Thursday one of the crew members suffered migraine in the beginning of the day, and unfortunately, he was the"Journeyman," the crew member with the most experience. The other crew member was very nice, but he was inexperienced in vinyl fencing. He told me he has been doing fences for a month. Needless to say, not much of the job was completed that day. I called Dillion that day to establish a plan. The next day I received an email saying that it would not be able to get done on Friday. I was told that it might get done on the Saturday, but since the Monday was a holiday, they could probably get started again that Tuesday. No one showed up on Saturday, so I figured they would be coming Tuesday. The new crew was there early Tuesday morning. They finished everything Wednesday morning. However, after looking over the fence, we noticed the several of the posts were not level. It was quite egregious. Apparently, he was an expert in metal fences not vinyl fencing. Actually this was the first time he installed a vinyl fence on the job. I called Dillion that late afternoon, voicemail, and sent him an email along with pictures of the fence. I ended up calling the next afternoon after receiving no correspondence up until that point. Dillion did answer this time and told me that he could tell the fence posts were not "plum." Also, working with vinyl is difficult, but they would be able to come on Saturday to fix it. So another crew did make it out on Saturday and fixed most of the posts using jackhammers and more concrete. I am hoping the integrity of the posts are not severely compromised, and there was one post still off. Dillion emailed me right after they finished to ask for payment. I responded back to tell him that one post is still off. He said no problem and that he will let me know when he'll send someone out to fix the post. The post has yet to be fixed. I also have to mention, about a half a bag of concrete spilled on my lawn, and it was left there after the job. Not a huge deal, but it was just another thing. I am very disappointed to say the least. I wanted to support a local company, and really hoping to give 5 stars. However, I paid for my fence to be professionally completed. This job was anything but. read more

Let me start off by saying I'm not one to complain about someone's work...until now. About 6 months ago we used Alexander Fence Pros to install a new wood fence around our entire yard. My husband had to work so I walked the fence line with Chris and explained exactly what we wanted. From the very beginning of the install I knew I would regret picking them. On the first install day my neighbor had some questions and made the guys stop working early that morning. Instead of calling me they packed up and left- leaving me with no fence going into the 4th of July holiday. Once we cleared things up work restarted and there were several mistakes made. They didn't install the kick boards like we requested. Our property is not level with the neighbors and back line that connects to an open field. We requested the kick boards to prevent dirt from washing away and holes forming. The next morning after install my chihuahua was able to escape the yard because the gaps were so large! Our side gate was also a headache. They originally told us they could use the existing post to hang the large metal gate. They installed the gate and cracked the post- then hid it from us. They also didn't weld the gate to the correct dimensions so they cut the latch post off where is was installed with cement then welded it back to the ground a few inches over. That is totally unacceptable when they built the fence on site! We had Dillon come back and walk the property with us to point out what was unacceptable. He kept siting CA fencing codes and not accepting his guys did a horrible job. He ended up having to put in a steel post to fix the one they cracked and tried to fix the cut post with a face plate. Today (6 months later) I was talking my puppys around the yard and heard boards moving. Upon investigation I found several boards not nailed into the frame- the nail line was several inches below the studs. I am absolutely heartbroken with our fence. This was the first big project we did to our first home and I regret using Alexander Fencer Pros daily as I find more and more wrong with the fence. I'm not even comfortable letting the dogs out alone as there are so many spots for them to escape...after paying $6,000!! I doubt it will last a few years. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

The most recent fence installation was 70' section between side neighbor. We both were extremely satisfied with the workmanship, professional staff (took time to answer my questions without giving the feeling that I was getting in their way), and quality of materials. This is my second contract with Dillon (back fence replaced previously) and didn't hesitate a second in giving him a call to do this recent work - didn't need to go after competitive bids. Their costs were very reasonable and I knew I was getting quality material and workmanship from an owner who took pride in the final product. I highly recommend Alexander Fence Pros! read more

Alexander Fence Pros were one of several bids we received to have a driveway gate installed, vinyl fence repaired and installed as well as a livestock wire division fence between neighbors torn out and new put in. When we first met Dillon, we were concerned he was younger, but he blew us away with his knowledge of the many different projects we needed done. He was personable, informative and very respectful and highly professional. Having done many projects to our 10 acres, we could tell right off the young man knew his stuff...impressive. He and his great crew were on time, efficient, clean and did what they said they would do. They answered our questions without complaining. They never made us feel we were bothering them. It seemed they were working with us, not just for us. Their completed job was outstanding. Great follow up too. I can't say enough about the integrity of Dillon and his crew, as well as the smoothness of the way our project was done. As a retired teacher...I would give them an A+ I highly recommend Alexander Fence Pros... read more
