I got several quotes and KAL was affordable and timely in his response. The quote and contract were all online so it was easy to review, refer back to, and share with my neighbor so we could make a decision. The work was also good. I wanted metal posts, redwood boards, and to make it modular so if a section of fencing broke for whatever reason (kids, mostly), I could easily replace a 2x4 and/or fence boards. February 2024: After some of the great wind storms, another section of my fence had pretty much blown over. We were able to reset the lines to increase my backyard (yes, I got city permits) and he was great about marking out the PG&E and other lines. He took care of that and other things that didn't even cross my mind. With that, I now have a larger backyard, the fence looks great, and I've had friends and neighbors comment on how great it looks. We had two roofing bids. The first roofer although in business several years didn't measure…read morecorrectly, and bid an additional cost of $2,800 for dry rot repairs "as seen"- with additional cost to be determined after the roof was off. Rose roofing bid was better over all, included the latest in roof ventilation and all new vent covers (no additional charge)... the over all price was lower by nearly $5,000 and the dry rot work... was less than $1,000 when all was said and done. They worked 3 days cutting and repairing dry rot that had started under the failed roof. Everyone was professional, on time and even used a blower to clean up. Definitely worth the 5 stars in rating. To top things off we could pay by credit card to get rewards points.
