My experience with Ergeon was limited since we decided not to get new gutters but I wanted to at least give kudos to Ergeon for having a great employee, Kelly, who helped in getting an estimate. Kelly was professional, on time with our video call, very nice personality, and returned an estimate to us very quickly. Thanks for a nice call, Kelly. read more

They follow up is terrible. Clearly when they want their money and your service they're amazingly responsive. However, just give it a few months and you'll notice some of the sloppy jobs and inaccurate placement of the planks of the fences. There's Miss cuts that they just nailed in. There's warped boards and I went through all of this to get assurance that my dog wouldn't be able to knock a plank out and she did so so easily. I emailed about warped, planks, and small pieces that were frayed from them cutting it in properly and just nailing it up but no response I've asked for advice no response but if you were putting in a new quote, they will be all on it so just be careful I thought they were great but now that the stain is settled that's where you're real worries may set in. read more

A second pressure-treated fence post has rotted in my Ergeon fence. Pressure-treated lumber should last 10 to 15 years, if not longer. As with the first rotted post, which Ergeon replaced while the fence was still under warranty last year, the concrete footing appears not to have been properly sloped to shed water. This post is located in an area that gets wet only when it rains, yet it has still rotted. The problem appears to be a defect in the original installation, exactly like the post approximately eight feet away that Ergeon replaced under warranty. Ergeon's subcontractors may work quickly, but my fence suggests that speed does not translate into quality workmanship. When I contacted Ergeon, I was told the post was outside the warranty period. When I expressed my disappointment that Ergeon would not take responsibility for what appears to be an installation defect, I was then told that Ergeon no longer replaces individual posts and instead replaces entire fence panels. Perhaps that policy is intended to discourage customers from pursuing relatively minor repairs. It certainly seems like a convenient way to turn a defective post into a much larger repair at the customer's expense. I politely declined to pay for an unnecessary full-panel replacement. A few weeks later, I received a message from Juan asking whether I was available between 1 pm and 3 pm on August 5 for an Ergeon representative to address the post. I replied that I was surprised to hear from him after previously being told that Ergeon would replace only the entire panel. I confirmed that I was available and asked for additional information about the work. No response. I followed up again this morning. Still no response. One o'clock came and went. Then three o'clock. No representative arrived, and no one contacted me. Ergeon appears to rely on a seemingly endless supply of new customers rather than supporting the customers it already has. That's a remarkably shortsighted business model. Most residential properties have at least three fenced sides. A customer who hires Ergeon to install one section of fencing could easily return for the remaining sections, provided the company delivers quality work and stands behind it. There's also the matter of referrals. After my fence was installed, a handful of neighbors asked for Ergeon's contact information. I've since told my neighbors that, Ergeon may not be the best choice for a fence installation - based on my experience. I hope this review gives you a healthy warning about Ergeon. It may not affect Ergeon's bottom line, but prospective customers deserve to know how the company handles apparent installation defects, warranty concerns, and scheduled service visits that simply don't happen. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews first! After 18 months the wood is cracking, the support structure beam is cracked, I went to open the gate and it fell off of the top hinges. The hinges were screwed into the thin fence panel instead of the main beam. When I went to pick it up the whole gate fell. The main beam rocks back and force. I have called the company, sent pictures and am told they have 24 to 48 hours to call me back to see if it is covered by the warranty. I told them I have the warranty and it is covered. Round and round I go. I am a 74 year disabled veteran and am out trying to put back in the screws but they are sheared off. My service dog in training got out, fortunately, she came back. read more

They no-showed despite confirming the day prior for the job. Will update this review if they reschedule and show up.

Called about just fixing our broken gate. Katherine was upfront and honest about their minimum and costs. Our fence has been going down piece by piece for 12 years and we just patch it with poles and loose boards, so I just asked for pricing to replace all of it instead. The pricing was fair and the process easy. Katherine was really helpful and kind. Will update once the work is done! read more

The bid was thorough and complete with detailed information about the prices and project components

Very communicative and helpful in the processing for our project! Service is as requested, I'll edit this when the project is complete.

Highly recommend this company for fence work. The quote was fair based on average estimates for my area and fence type. FAST scheduling and completed in one day. Beautiful fence. My estimate was for single lattice but they gave me double lattice to match the existing fence read more

Our fence turned out beautiful, and Ergeon was incredibly responsive and always available to answer any questions along the way. We had a fairly large project involving a few neighbors to replace our old, falling-down fences. Ergeon handled all the coordination seamlessly, keeping everyone in the loop and making the whole process feel easy. They even completed the entire fence in just one day, which was such a relief, since we didn't want our dog cooped up inside for weeks. Overall, we were happy and recommend them! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. they ordered the wrong materials and the project manager was going to install that anyway until I stopped them. no showed several times. haven't been back in 2 weeks and our fence isn't finished. they left trash all over my yard and dirt piles that have turned to mud and post holes not filled in. they will not return calls just will sometimes text back saying they're going to show up then nothing. currently they're looking for a new project manager. but that was several days ago and we have not heard anything at all. so 3 weeks to do a fence they said would be done in one day. absolutely horrible experience read more

Would not use them nor recommend this company to anyone id advice you to not do business with them. I just had a fence done through them and it was the worst mistake I've ever made the quality is shit my dog attacked the neighbors dog not when my fence was about to fall but after it was replaced they didn't offer to refund the money I paid to save the dog but they were nice enough to send me a wine basket for missing the first day of the build if i could give them a negative 5 star i would read more

I gathered a few quotes for my fence. One from a colleague whom I know does good work. Another from the person doing the fence on behalf of my neighbor. The first quote was very high and might reflect the distance his crew would have to travel. The one from my neighbor's fencer was reasonable. The Ergeon quote was $8k under the first quote and $3k under the second. I would usually go with a middle quote, but I decided to go with Ergeon because the reviews appear to be good, the estimate was thorough, and there is a 7 year warranty which few other companies can match. They came out within days of accepting the quote, reviewed the property, took care of permits, and I had a new fence 2 weeks later. They were professional and courteous from start to finish. It took them one day to remove and replace 150' of fencing, with only a few extra hours a day later because the heat was so bad. That's impressive! read more

Talking with Erika was great! She was friendly, professional, detail oriented. Answered all my questions. Great Customer Service.

Fast, professional work. They let me know everything I needed to know in advance, which helped with the progress.

Comparable to trying to purchase a car-high pressure sales-"this price only right now-if you contact us later the price may not be the same". Asked for a email follow up on written estimate for follow up -none received. Bad sales technique for a fence??!! Really-no thank you. Complete waste of time. read more

Ergeon did a fantastic job putting up our fence. We called several places looking for a free quote and not only did they have the best price, but they also did a digital video with us beforehand, so we could see what our fence would look like. Three guys installed it in 4 hours. We live in a mobile home community and have to follow their 4 feet rules and guidelines, and they worked with us to make sure we were in accordance with their policies. The fence looked great and we were very satisfied with their work. Would recommend. Thank you! read more

In the process of remodeling our backyard we needed a gate replaced as well as a fence with a gate built. It was easy to schedule an appointment for an estimate - during which the gentlemen we worked with was very helpful in reviewing gate/fencing options and helping us to design a beautiful, affordable gate. We received a quote very quickly and were able to schedule the project in a reasonable timeframe. The installation went well and we were happy with both the price we paid and the finished project. Communication with the company was excellent. We would be happy to do business with this company in the future. read more

If I could give them less than 1 star, I would! This is literally the worst experience I have ever had with a vendor of any kind. I signed a contract for a fence and gate with Ergeon and unbenownst to me, a 3rd party installer, AMG Fencing, arrived to install the fence. The crew they sent lacked overall knowledge and care and were sent with less material than was needed to complete the fence. It stands to reason that you would bring extra material so that boards that are in unacceptable condition are not used on someone's fence, but that was definitely not the case. They cut up boards to piece together two fence boards and planned to leave them that way except for the fact that we saw them on the final walkthrough. The pressure treated used was in horrible condition and over 1/4 of the fenceboards were in horrible condition. It is a board on board fence and the workmanship was trash. Nails were haphazardly driven through cracking fenceboards and rails. The final product is a joke so I refused to sign off. I was contacted by the "project manager" who didn't even contact me to check the work, only to set up the next job of staining that I had contracted. I informed her that I was not going to sign off as the fence condition was unacceptable. The foreman for AMG showed up the following day unannounced. Replaced the pieced together boards and planned to just leave. I caught him and did a walk through with him explaining my concerns with the workmanship, which he completely blew off. I chose this company because they built our neighbors fence last year and it looks great so I asked him to go look at their fence and compare it to ours. His answer was that he should just come back and replace the PT cap rails with Redwood and call it good. First, that's not what I ordered and second, that is literally not the problem. The whole fence is the problem. He was condescending and dismissive even telling me a story about another customer that he "proved wrong" with his many years of experience. I told him that I would contact Ergeon and speak with them. I took 30 pictures of the poor fence work and sent them to Juan in the Escalations Dept (sad that they need one). At first, he seemed like he was going to take care of it. This was the Thursday after the fence was installed on Tuesday. I didn't hear from him at all after that. On Monday, a crew from AMG showed up with redwood cap rails on their truck and said that they were there to "do repairs". I told them that I had not heard that they were coming from Ergeon so I can't have them working. They called Sergio, their boss while I called and left a message for Juan at Ergeon. He called back and said that they should not have been there and that is not "how they do things" and that he would contact them right away. Another knock on the door and the crew said that they have the material to do all of the repairs and were told by their boss to complete them. I said, again, no you don't have material to do the repairs, I can see what's on your truck and I cannot have you working without Ergeon and AMG being on the same page. They left and I immediately received a message from Juan at Ergeon asking me to let them do the repairs and stating that he assured me that they agreed to go purchase any materials needed. I said, sorry, but I sent them away already. Maybe communication should be better on your end! This whole week has been a back and forth with Juan who does not seem to have any knowledge of fencing and continues to defer to a 3rd party contractor with a poor attitude towards customers. Juan says that AMG can come out and assess, purchase the adequate material and do the repairs on Friday, May 22nd. What kind of service do you think I will be getting on the Friday before a holiday after this back and forth??? I will be escalating this issue farther up the chain today, but it appears to me like this company is compartmentalized purposefully to run customers around until they get tired of fighting and pay the bill and keep their crappy fence. Unfortunately for them, that will not be the case here. I have been in customer service in some form all of my life and I will not tolerate a 40 million dollar company taking advantage of customers. Ridiculous! I caution you to stay clear of this company! read more
