I guess the only update I have is that after canceling my order I was inspired to go back and look at the cost difference wanting to buy locally versus Costco. I prefer to spend my money in Reno when I can. Czys charges $375 to bring a range to your house. In my case it took ten days despite them saying they "had it in stock". I live ten miles from their store. Pretty sure I could have walked it home on a dolly in ten days. Czys wanted $300 to install the manufacturer-provided propane orifice - but never made clear that didn't actually mean "install a propane range". Glad I dodged a bullet and saved substantial money here. Thanks to Costco for saving Thanksgiving and over $700. read more

Czyz's Appliances in Reno are Excellent to Work With - The Best! We recently completed major GE Monogram appliance purchases and installations from Czyz's Appliances in Reno. We have had outstanding experiences working with the Czyz's team! Some years ago (more than 20 years ago) we built our home new in Somersett, just outside of Reno, and outfitted our kitchen with a complete set of new GE Monogram appliances for the new home build. This included a double wall-oven (2 full convection ovens built in the wall), wall-unit Advantium (microwave and convection oven), built-in gas cooktop, fully-vented range hood and exhaust fans, built-in dishwasher and built-in refrigerator. All commercial-grade stainless steel and stunningly beautiful! They performed well all those 20 years - the GE Monogram products were outstanding. Recently we had a few minor repairs crop up with the refrigerator and with one of the dual-ovens. We decided to treat ourselves to brand new GE Monogram appliances, since these had served us well over the 20 years and we wanted to enjoy that same GE Monogram luxury kitchen again - renewed for hopefully a number of years into our future, now that we're retired. As a side note, we also had a built-in GE Monogram Beverage Center (wine and beverage chiller) installed in our new home when it was built - in another part of the house - and decided to replace that with a new unit as well. We worked with Matt Treptow at Czyz's and he was absolutely excellent! He actually came up to our home in Somersett and measured everything to make sure the new GE Monogram units would fit properly into place. Turns out, they we the exact same sizes - all these years later - and would fit perfectly. They actually had all of our required GE Monogram appliances in-stock and scheduled our installations for shortly thereafter. The installation team were also absolutely excellent! They were clearly experienced professionals and really knew these appliances and how to properly install them. It was a couple of days' effort, during which the Czyz's team were very professional, kept their work-areas organized and clean while working in our home, cleaned things up and organized to the side their working items at the end of the first day, so we could move around inside our home. They finished up the next day and the caliber of the work was outstanding. They put various guards and protections in-place while moving all the old units out of our home, moving these new heavy items into our home and also while moving them around our home during the installation process. There were absolutely no damages at all to our home from all these heavy and cumbersome appliances being moved out (old units), inside and around (new replacement units) - and our home looks absolutely like when it was built new more than 20 years ago - amazing! Everything works properly and is fitted exceptionally well into walls, cooktop spaces, etc. It is a very professional-caliber job and we could not be more pleased with the results from the Czyz's team. We highly recommend the Czyz's Appliances of Reno team - both during the sales and confirmation process - and during the extensive removal (old units) and installation process (new units). We will definitely be working with the Czyz's team again (our washer and dryer will no doubt need replacement) - and we look forward to another great experience! I was overwhelmed with the generosity and compassion of Matt when I spoke with him at the store this morning. Our washer had been down for four days while we waited for repair servicemen who never showed. My husband is disabled, and it is not an exaggeration to say we were desperate for a workable machine immediately. When I called Matt and explained the situation - that we needed a new washer today - he went to work on our behalf to locate a machine and enlist his delivery team to work after hours to get the washer delivered and installed the same day! We had two dishwashers give up on us in eight years. The repairman recommended going to Czyz's Appliance to get a model that lasts longer than some of the average brands. I did not read any reviews on Czyz's before my trip there, but maybe that's a good thing because everything turned out very well for us. Matt helped me select a Miele dishwasher, saying that the brand is known for quality and longevity. We are pleased with the dishwasher and the installation seemed to go well. There is no customer service, no appliance repair help. And the assistant manager hung up on me. My ice machine has never worked since installed properly, had to deal with getting it looked at on my own as they have no appliance repair man at Czyz's,. You will be on hold for hours with GE, to even schedule repairs because it is under warranty. This should be Czyz's job. They should help with this process and I would stay far away because a new appliance should work and should not be your problem. read more

I had given Matt an order of over 15k. I then got another bid at Ferguson. I asked him to match and he couldn't. I even ended up buyining a 12k Heatan barbecue. I decided to take my barbecue to my other home out of state. I called Matt at Cyzys to help me take off cart and put in SUV. He called me back with a price of $450 dollars. I said Matt it will take less than 1 hour. He said if you would have given me the other order we may have done for free. I said all I asked u to do is match it. Well I got someone for $170 dollars. I worked with Garrett over several months getting the appliances I wanted for an upcoming kitchen remodel. He was very helpful in helping with the selections to get exactly what I wanted both aesthetically and functionally. In addition, upon receipt I was missing a part that he had shipped directly to my house, then a contractor accidently dented a piece and they had that also shipped directly to my house so there was no delay in the installation. After months of lamenting writing this, the time has come. I will attempt to be brief but provide sufficient detail. My mother bought a new top of the line oven from here.....almost $10,000.00! Oh....and no broiler pan! They told us we had to go buy one on our own. We waited months for the thing to arrive. In fact, Mom passed away while waiting for her new oven. No, this was not the fault of Cyzx's Appliances but it certainly was tough going without an oven for numerous months. Finally installation day comes and in it goes. All seemed fine until 4 weeks ago (about three months after installation). The fan that works in conjunction with the oven broke. Top of the line and broken within 90 days! Called to set up a service call, the tech shows up and refuses to wear a mask. Says if we demand him to, he's going to leave and not perform the call. Nice attitude butt head! I don't care what battle born maniac shows up here, my father is 96, has COPD and asthma. No one gets in without a mask but we broke our rule and had him in to get this fixed. We need an oven to cook. Today they called to set up the installation of the new part. Great.....wait three weeks more. I guess everything they sell is broken as the wait times are horrible. And again.....I request the tech wear a mask and I get some blow back about "we don't force or people to follow government guidelines". My reply was no mask, no entry this time. I'm happy to get this in front of a judge and argue for the refund. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE TO !! Heck.....drive to Sacramento. The service has to be better! read more

I like to work with locally owned companies. Pros-It's helpful because you can speak to a person to find the right appliances for your needs. Cons- My experience with Czyzs hasn't been great. You don't get call backs when promised and when you do ask for things like delivery dates you are told that they will get back to you when they can. read more

My 5 star review is based on a super helpful shopping experience today. I have not bought yet! This store FACES the FWY in case you're driving around trying to find it. Today was my first visit to Czyz's. I was not expecting such a SPECTACULAR showroom! I will be back to check out their kitchen cabinets later. They seem to have everything needed for new construction and remodeling. Today I went to look at Speed Queen washers and dryers. For anyone with an OLDER HOME the Speed Queen sets WILL FIT! I also discovered that Maytag has begun manufacturing a set to compete with Speed Queen. Very interesting in a day when other manufacturers are building bigger and bigger and more complicated than ever machines! No thank you. I don't want to have to read a programming manual to operate my appliances! The Speed Queen washer is usually quoted as being 26" wide but in reality it's 25 5/8. And the DEPTH on both washer and dryer is only 28". When you have a tight space this is an awesome solution! I'm including the specs below because Speed Queen washers are something to consider if you want simplicity and durability in a nice package! And this store has them on display! Along with MANY OTHER BRANDS. And both the sales people who helped me were very knowledgeable about the differences between brands. I'm more inclined to buy at a store like this where they also repair machines...have repairmen who make house calls. I'm a huge Amazon fan but when it comes to an appliance...I want it delivered and set up and working! Czyz's can make that happen when I'm ready. read more

Con: hidden delivery fees to remove doors to get it out (standard)front door, overcharged $1000. Priced at 4500 vs 3500 per other appliance stores, had an issue with my freezer door so I called and scheduled service, but they were a no show. I have other appliances to purchase for my remodel, but this is not an up-front kind of business, which is too bad. I guess they can stay in business when someone is under duress. read more

If you are looking for higher-end or semi-custom appliances, this is the place. While replacing my floors I decided to replace my old stove and microwave so they would match the other appliances I've replaced over the years. The showroom really helps you picture how these appliances would look in your own home and gave me a few ideas for other things down the road. Most of what they have is not in stock and must be freighted in. In my case, I was updating, so it wasn't mission-critical to have them ASAP. Had that been the case, I may have had to go elsewhere. The salespeople were amazing and found me deals and rebates to keep the pricing down. Installer was professional from beginning to end. read more

Hmmm, Visited the Reno store this morning. Was the only customer in store. Walked the entire store - 1 person on the floor behind desk talking on phone. At least two more people in the office - both appeared to on phone. Not one of them made any eye contact with me or indicated a desire to help. I walked out. Sargent's Maytag in Sparks got my busines for a new washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridg. My current appliances are all Maytag so was confident Sargent's would be a good bet but wanted to try Czyz and see what they had to offer. I guess very little. Go to Sargent's - they are great people to deal with and want to make a sale. read more

Appliances, especially major appliances, are very difficult to buy, because there are a lot of different kinds and brands, and a lot of different stores, we went to a few stores and then came back to Czyz's mainly because of Gabriel, a sales person, or manager, if he's not a manager, he should be, because he is really really really good at helping you figure out what you need, what you want, what's best! And then he even gave us extra information for the building of the kitchen, where the appliances are going to go to make sure everything goes well! I am super impressed with Gabriel! My sister who lives in a small town in CA and who does no computer work needed a new washer after hers died. I found Czyz's Appliance on line, bought a new washer and dryer for her ( no push buttons, knobs please!), and set up the installation. If you purchased a dishwasher from Czyz's Appliance and had them install it over the past 18 months you may want to be alert for hidden leaks and sub-floor damage. We bought a top of the line dishwasher in Feb 2022 and apparently they did not fully tighten the hot water connection. It slow dripped for months, initially running down the foundation wall until the subfloor under the vinyl got wet enough to indent from the weight of the dishwasher feet, then pooling forward under the laminate kitchen floor installed over the vinyl. When we finally figured out where all the water was coming from and why our dishwasher was starting to lean Czyz's said they only guaranteed their installation for 90 days and to call our homeowner's insurance. I finally persuaded them to come look at it which they did four days later. The responding repairman said he was their installation supervisor and talked about all the installers they had to replace over the last year and how bad our installation was. He then videoed and tightened the leaking connection, but Czyz's still would not concede any responsibility. read more

I do not recommend this company. They are highly discriminatory and disorganized. They called my husband "an old man" laughed and refused to deliver and install the wine refrigerator as agreed upon. Then the delivery guys had the nerve to try to strike a deal and ask to buy lunch in order to install the appliance. The appliance arrived dented, the handle was on the wrong side. The delivery guys dropped the old appliance in the driveway scraping up the surface and scraped it further with their truck. They wanted to charge an extra $100 just to set it on our driveway. Tammi did not follow through with making sure all delivery instructions including stairs was provided to delivery. The entire process was a mess. We should have learned from the first order delivery after the guys gauged our wall that had to be painted. I will never use this company again. read more

Should of read the reviews. They were 100% correct. What a joke for a business. Can't understand why they are still in business. It started out great. Prices are higher than big box stores but I decided to keep my money local. The price they gave me (higher than other places by over $300) they said I had to pay cash or check only. No problem, I did. When my refrigerator arrived the installer removed my front door and my old frig. I went outside to check out my new refrigerator and the back and side had dents about 2 feet up and down from bouncing in his flat bed service truck with stake bed. Frig just wrapped in cellophane (not bubble wrap). When I brought it to their attention it went all down hill. They said they would give me $100 off, I explained that I could get a dent free one for $300 cheaper. So they would have to at least do better than that. From that point on the installer just said nasty comments to us. He put back my door on. Left my old frig in my driveway and left. We called for a refund and the owners son answered and said they would have a check for us Monday. His mom was out of the office. We asked if it would be for the full amount? His reply was "He wasn't sure ". Not sure???? That threw us off. Why wouldn't we get a full refund? I called back and talked to the sales lady to complain about the installer attitude. We weren't the one who dented it. She said he had a right to be a jerk because he was working overtime. I told her no one had a right to say and treat anyone the way he did. We did nothing wrong. We didn't want an over priced frig with dents. Then she started her rant how they are professionals blaaa blaaaa blaaa. I was in shock now how she was treating me. So I just hung up. Called RC Willys and got our frig the next day. Plus saved $300, plus Czyz's $150 deld charge (RC Willys was $59 good for this deld plus any other deld for 1 year) plus a gift of a chocolate fountain plus she found a 5% coupon for more savings. We ended up buying a washer (with that cute minnie washer on the bottom for small stuff), a dryer and pedestal and a wine cooler. All on sale. Saving another $400 with the coupon she gave us. The installer were true professionals. Explained everything and even had our frig wrapped in a moving blanket to prevent damage. Well worth the $100 tip we gave them. It all worked out for us but for Czyz's it's just a matter of time. read more

We purchased a gas cooktop and hood from Czyz's after a failed attempt at Sears. Our stone countertop cutout was too small for the first cooktop we ordered. No contractors would return our calls (to modify countertop). Sears could not help us search to find one that fit (or modify it). They recommended I download every installation manual for every cooktop and search the specs. Wow. To return our 2 items to sears required multiple calls to foreign countries, multiple deliveries and pickups, wasted energy, no coordination between departments....the list goes on. After our frustrating experience, a nice locally-run business was a breath of fresh air. Diana helped me search stovetop cutout sizes, and after realizing none would fit, she assisted me with finding the right appliances for the right price! Upon delivery, the installers were able to modify the countertop and install the appliances in one visit. The kitchen is finally complete & functional! Apparently, they service all the appliances they sell. My only gripe is the install prices were a little high, but on par with other businesses, so..... $200 for countertop cutting, $175 to install stove, $150 hood install (we chose to have our handyman install hood for $60 per hour instead). read more

I bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer from them in November 2020. The washer never worked properly. The store has been unhelpful. They do not stand behind the products they sell. I have been going to the laundromat for three straight weeks. They have never indicated that they are doing anything to solve the problem. They have said things like, "We didn't manufacture the product, you have to call whirlpool, we can't do anything," and they have refused a refund. As far as I can tell, nothing is being done. They are piss poor at service and communication. $4000 spent so I can go to the laundromat! So much for trying to help a local business instead of going to a box store. Never again. read more

We did a complete gut to the bones and remodeled of our kitchen. Tammy was really helpful with figuring out appliances. One problem was that we didn't put in a big over the stove vent, but she recommended a Viking combo vent and microwave/convection oven. It compliments the thermadore appliances that we decided to get. The microwave/vent combo broke down a few short months later. There service dept was on top of it. Czyz's Appliance has bent over backwards to help me with a couple of problems I've experienced with my Speed Queen dryer since I purchased both a washer and dryer from them in 2018. One reason I bought the "Speed Queen" brand was because my mother had the same brand and it NEVER needed service plus the fact that Czyz's gave me a 7-year warranty for parts and labor on my purchase! That's an excellent guarantee especially in this day and age! I must say that I'm very happy to have made this major purchase from Czyz's Appliance because they really stand behind their merchandise! I'm glad we have appliance stores like Czyz's in Reno. They have brands the big box stores have, but also higher end brands for those who want a more custom product. We were making a small remodel to our new home kitchen to include upgraded microwave along with a wine cooler and double oven to replace the single. Michelle at Czyz's was very helpful and knew her brands and what was required to install. She was able to help us determine the location of the junction box which needed to be moved due to double vs single oven. This is the kind of service I find valuable as we were coordinating our granite, electrical and cabinet maker contractors ourselves. They were also very accommodating as we ordered and paid a down payment just before Christmas but didn't take delivery until late February. Only once did they call asking when we'd like delivery (which I liked not being hounded) and that was to say how much advance notice they needed as they were busy. Once we had the cabinets and granite fabricated, we needed delivery on a Monday morning. They told us 9:30am and showed up right on time. That was important as we coordinated with the cabinet maker to cut the larger hole for the double oven early that morning. Definitely recommend Czyz's. read more
