    RC Willey really rolled out the red carpet for us. We came in to buy a twin mattress for our son and left feeling like we made the best decision possible--all thanks to the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Mr. Kembe M. He made the whole process smooth, and we felt so confident in our purchase. To top it off, they had a free carne asada day going on while showing off the new grill--now that's how you turn mattress shopping with great value into a whole experience!     Bad carpet installation.

    RC Willey needs to re-evaluate the businesses they use/subcontract their carpet installation. The company Willey sent for my carpet's original installation and today's repair of that same installation lacks in customer service. I was told yesterday by a Willey flooring rep that my carpet repair window was 8-10 a.m. At 10:35 I called Willey wondering when the carpet crew was arriving. After Willey called the crew, I received a callback telling me they would be arriving between 1-2 pm. This was going to be 5 to 3 hours later than originally promised AND no one, NOT WILLEY NOR THE INSTALLERS called to notify me. I had to call. This same thing happened when the carpet was originally installed. Not to mention, the carpet installers are making this return trip for poor installation (see photos). An unacceptable show of customer service and respect for a customer's time by RC Willey and their subcontractor.

    We dropped by at RC Wiley in search for extra dining chairs and upon walking in the store, we were warmly greeted at the door. We walked directly to the back where they had the clearance section and all the employees that worked back there were super nice. We found a couple of spare dining chairs we liked, paid for them and were instructed to back around to pick them up. Before leaving the store, the nice lady who initially greeted us in, gave us a cookie each on the way out.

    Let me just start by saying Dekembe was amazing from start to finish. Before we knew it, we were on the way to the cashier's and on our way. I hate shopping for furniture ect, but this young man made it painless. They were running a special and we got a deal on what we were looking at. He didn't try and stray us in any direction or upsell like a used car sales man. He showed us all available models for what we were looking for and it was delivered the before the end of the week. For an additional fee they will build it for you too! That's the best for busy less patient individuals like myself. R.C. Willey knows how to keep a customer for life. Thanks for the "Thank you" note! See you in the future.

    I recently did a review of flooring I had done by RC Willey & when I complained with photos they said " this meets factory standards...

    Thought I would share photos from my previous review on recent flooring install! And when I complained to Lucella who sold us the flooring...said this was ok- it meets factory standards!!! Umm how would she like this flooring in her kitchen!!! Did I mention we are now paying someone to fix Martins work!!! I wish I had read RC Willeys negative reviews before buying flooring from them!!

    Is zero stars an option? Never, under any circumstance use this company for floor installation. This is a nightmare. R Willey did measurements on my job for flooring which included 2 staircases and ordered the material. They delivered the material 12 days before the install and the order was 3 boxes short. I asked the salesperson if they could get it in so the job could be finished on time and she asked me if I would like to delay the install, never offering to expedite the material (first sign of trouble). On install day (still short of material) their flooring subcontractor came in, did the demo to rip up all the existing carpet and baseboards. The installer prepped the stairs for the tread install by building up the front of the stairs will plywood and adding a white riser. About 2 hours later he informed me that the stair treads were not wide enough for the stairs and there would be a gap on either side of my lower set of stairs, or we could wait to get more material and have a seam on every stair. This issue was apparently not communicated in advance because the flooring people at RC Willey did not know the product well enough to understand that the measurement included extensions on each side which are cut off it the edge of the stairs is not exposed so they thought it would fit and it doesn't. I asked the installer to call RC Willey to get clarification and direction which he did not do, and instead bullied me into accepting the adding trim to the wall solution. After about another 2 hours, the installer called me to come so he could discuss another issue. This time he explained that the stair treads were not deep/wide enough to reach the back of the rough stair tread leaving a gap at the back. We discussed that the rough tread was still overhanging the wood he added and that the rough stair tread was uneven at the front. I asked if he could cut off the excess, and he said no, they would have to add more trim to the back of the stairs. I really want a clean look so was very unhappy with that suggestion and told him to get samples so that i could see what it looked like. On the second day of the install I returned to check on progress and was very unhappy with the look of the stairs with the baseboard zig-zagging up the stairs and told him we really needed to do a solid skirt on the sides and asked if he had samples of the other trim he wanted to add to the back. He did not have samples. A bit later, I spoke to the salesperson at RC Willey, who thought the tread material was 50" wide and should have fit (the installer didn't call her the previous day). She said she would talk to her manager and I should send pictures and an email describing the problems (which I did). Shortly after this, the installer cleaned up and left saying they had called him back to the store. The next day the manager from RC Willey called me and said the salesperson had told him to give me a call. I asked him if he had seen my emails and pictures. He said yes. And then seemed to be waiting for me to say something while I was waiting for him to tell me how they were going to solve the problem. We discussed that the material didn't fit and that i was not informed in advance despite the fact that they should have known the material was not wide enough. I told him that I was not happy with the way the baseboard zigzagging up the wall looked and that I wanted a skirt with a straight line (which I had stated in my email). He said that I would need to get a carpenter to do it. I said OK, then reimburse me for putting in the stair skirt, and he said they wouldn't do that. I said OK, then reimburse me for what you will spend to have the base put in, and he said they wouldn't do that either. So I told him that they were not taking responsibility for the problem they created. We then discussed the gaps at the back and he said the trim piece was the only solution. I told him I did not want additional trim at the back of the stairs, that it was going to look like a band-aid on a screw up. If I had been informed and agreed to this in advance, this would be ok, but that this was going to look like someone screwed up. (I used a stronger word). He said we were done talking and hung up on me. I have left a message for the GM, but unless you want a nightmare and to have your house torn up and not put back together the week before Thanksgiving.

Joseph did everything in his power to make help us out and made us feel right at home. My wife and I love the whole rustic modern feel, and we felt like kids in a candy store. We saw a long wooden dining table that we really liked, but decided to check out the other well known furniture stores in town before we pulled the trigger. We loved how helpful and friendly everyone in the store was, and we felt no pressure at all. After checking out the local competition, we ended up right back to where we started. Although some of products at the other stores may look nice on the outside, the finish and quality doesn't compare to what we found here. We purchased the long dining table, along with a another round dining table set and buffet table. They delivered everything in a very timely matter, and were so accommodating with our schedule! We ended up going back a few more times to order a few more pieces for the house! Thanks again to Joseph and the amazing team at Reno Tahoe Rustic Modern for the amazing experience. We will definitely be back again soon!

When we moved, we did not bring much furniture and then disposed of everything when we started construction, so we needed to furnish an entire house from the ground up. We are both architects and simple and classic is our vibe, so after checking out the more traditional furniture stores in Reno, we headed over to Scandanavian Designs to find our people. We could not be more grateful that we connected with Hannah on our first visit. The sales people are so helpful at Scandanavian Designs; they have a ton of knowledge with no pressure. We have been back at least a half-dozen times, sometimes to buy and sometimes just looking. Always greeted with the same smiles and welcome. To date we have purchased a complete living room (2 sofas, coffee table, end tables, storage unit, shelves, Stressless recliner and ottoman, game table and 2 chairs), dining room (table and 8 chairs), kitchen counter stools, and primary bedroom (bed and nightstands). Everything to date has been delivered as promised in excellent condition and the delivery crew is a joy to work with. The value we've received has far exceeded the price paid. We will likely be back for more accessory pieces and lamps, and will look again at the rugs and pillows. In fact we may also furnish our guest bedroom through Scandanavian Designs even though that was not on the original list for new purchases. We just love the design and quality of the pieces and also love working with Hannah in putting together the orders.

    I am updating my previous review, to say that management reached out to us and also worked…read moreinternally within Scandinavian Designs to better retain the initial schedule they provided to us, and in the end they were able to essentially do that (close enough), and so they did redeem themselves very nicely. They did find the pieces we had purchased, and even delivered them on two separate occasions while only charging for one delivery. The staff was great throughout all of it. I do not blame staff at all for the snag regarding delays, because the staff was able to overcome it, and the potential delays were from factors beyond their control. I would say it would be more of a responsibility of the Corporate Management to improve their system for tracking shipments. We have since purchased additional furniture from this store, and we are very happy with all of the pieces we have purchased.

It is open, bright, and the old architecture adds to the grandeur of the store. I went in with my folks to look for some replacement furniture. They have been frustrated because the vast majority of living / family room furniture is all about being aesthetically pleasing. Most of it is built to look good but not necessarily feel good or be comfortable. As senior citizens they use living / family room furniture more than I ever did in all of the living rooms in all of the houses I have owned over the years. We sat down with Katie who was patient, well informed, and friendly. We also had a chance to talk with Natalia and meet James in the delivery department. Katie was able to find some comfortable looking, well made pieces at reasonable prices that were in the thousands and not tens of thousands of dollars. Their shipping and delivery is probably the best feature of their practice as it is a personal experience that is handled with care. It seems like their typical clients are probably more skewed to the tens of thousands of dollar orders, it was nice to see them give the same service and attention. We hope the best for Paloma as they embody what a family owned local business should be. Especially as the national furniture mass merchandisers keep polluting our area with less service, less quality, and less buy in on the local's shopping experience.
