This was never conveyed to us before we made our purchase. We are now forced to pay over $7k for a mattress and bed frame. SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. It's not a traditional financing option where you pay interest on your purchase - they immediately double what you owe if not payed off within 30 days. We are one payment after our 3 months and went from owing $3400 to $5700 (which is an early payment option for the $7k total we officially owe). I went to go pay off the remaining $1300 I thought was owed today and viola - this is the information I got. This is a completely unethical business practice. How could a person in good conscience not explain these details? How could a company saying they are "discount" retailers set people up to get robbed? If I could go back I would return everything and I wish I had never set foot into this store. This is a HUGE financial impact for anyone and I can't believe this is happening to us. While we were sitting there wondering what to do with a $3500 couch that we couldn't use, Craig Rosenberg said he would see what could be done. He was able to ensure we could return the couch (with a restocking fee) and use the credit for a new couch. He spent a lot of time showing us different options and setting it all up. In the end, after scoping out several stores around town, I wound up taking the plunge with Mattress Land because of the prices, the customer service, and how upfront the staff were about what I was getting, what to expect, and what they recommend. Needless to say, I had tons of questions about quality, price-point, brands, and what services or incentives they offer. I worked with Rudy throughout the whole process, who was very patient and did an absolutely outstanding job answering questions and explaining things to me. One thing to keep in mind, is that this is something YOU need to do your homework about, be sure to voice any questions that may arise,don't be afraid to test out a bunch of these beds while you're here, and really give some consideration as to how they feel. One of the complaints I've seen other reviewers state, is how they feel some of the beds lack features or protection options. From what I found, those protections are indeed there, just be aware that a bunch of them are not included just off the bat, and you may need to spring a bit of extra money to get them. But on the flipside, I honestly found the prices here pretty reasonable and in a range I was hoping for, so it was a no-brainer to go the extra step and make sure I had the better protection plan, and ensure I had all the info on the warranty. All things considered, expect to see an updated review from me in a few months, since by then I will know for sure how this mattress is working out, and I'll adjust the number of Stars up or down accordingly. For now, sticking with four stars, since at least in the short term I am quite satisfied with the bed I got, the price I paid, and the service I received, and I can definitely recommend Mattress Land as a place to look if you're in the market for a better night's sleep.
