They had a ton of positive reviews. So I called them up, and they agreed to show up the next day before 11. They warned me they were running late (my landlord asked him to pick up something on the way over). They were in and out and fixed what needed to be fixed. They didn't try to argue for additional services I didn't need (rusty brown water, happens when you turn off the water heater, let the facet run for 30minutes). I had an exposed rainwater drain that had broken and washed away soil from the hill which covered it. Jake responded on 7/24/26 with his helper, Ben. Watching him assess the problem and apply the needed correction literally was like watching an orthopedic surgeon repair a badly damaged body after a horrible accident. He had to use 3 different angles and make pipe adjustments to correct the shoddy workmanship the builders did 24 years ago. His first attempt, which looked okay to my untrained eye, was entirely unsatisfactory to his ethical and professional standard. He didn't stop making adjustments until it was perfect. Thank you, Jake, and the entire Van Etten Plumbing team. Choosing you was the correct choice, for sure. James W. Hall

Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are for Gary Franco and his team. On my drive…read morehome from work on a Friday night--right before one of the coldest nights we've had in years--I got a call from my wife saying our heat had gone out. I immediately pulled up Google and started calling every company advertising emergency service. After leaving message after message, I finally reached a company that wasn't familiar with my equipment but highly recommended Gary. Feeling pretty discouraged at that point, I called the number--and was relieved to reach an actual person who listened with empathy, gathered the details, and relayed everything to Gary. Despite being at a family game, Gary came out that night, diagnosed the issue, and gave us guidance on how to keep our pipes from freezing overnight. Early the next morning, I received an update that the needed part had been found. Within an hour, a team arrived and repaired the system. Given the forecast--temperatures staying below freezing for the next 10 days, 10-20 inches of snow across the region, and nearly 200 million people under a winter storm warning--there could not have been a worse time to lose heat. Gary and his team had never met us before, yet they treated us like family from the moment we called. It goes without saying that we will be customers for life. Thank you again to Gary and his entire team. They have earned our highest recommendations and saved our house.
