My son enjoys the games they play and especially the prize at the end. The Pokemon card prize give-away keeps him coming back for more. Mr Peter usually has 2-4 junior coaches (or senior, his father) that help out to give individualized coaching. Over time, they work on putting, chipping, using a tee, occasionally driving at the driving range. He has ample golf clubs your kid can borrow and they'll fit you with the right size. He emphasizes safety first, and tries to make the kids laugh. My 5 year old finds him hilarious. The lessons are nearly all year-round. During the summers when he runs the weekday summer camps for the kids, he doesn't have the Saturday sessions. Sunday sessions are all year-round, however. The nice thing about these lessons, is that they're pretty flexible. My son sometimes hurts various parts of his body, sprained foot or ankle, arm pain after his vaccines, and can't make it to the lessons. So, we'll take a break, sometimes for several weeks, but the lessons will still be operating as usual when we are ready to return!

This past weekend we visited TopGolf Burlingame for the first time with my girlfriend's family and…read morewe had a lot of fun! We booked the reservation online, and since some of us had been to other TopGolf locations, we didn't have to pay the one-time membership fee again but for new players you will have to, I think it's like $6 a player or something like that. The most important thing to know is that your time starts exactly at the time you book, so be ready to go to maximize the time you booked for. We did a 90-minute session and it flew by really quick. We had enough time to do 4-rounds of 5 golf shots each and then less than half an hour to just hit balls. The amount of game options makes for an exciting competition between friends and family. For food we got the sampler that had chicken sliders, mac n cheese balls, chips and salsa, queso. The chips were kinda stale but the rest of the food was solid enough that it did what it needed to do. I was debating on whether or not to bring my clubs, which I ultimately did but it wasn't necessary at all. The range isn't very long so getting a ball to the back of the range was like a pitching wedge from the 2nd floor. The balls felt like they are limited flight and doesn't compress like normal golf balls. Bringing a couple of wedges if you just want to hit your own clubs would be the move. The clubs they provided were just fine. While we had a great time, I don't think TopGolf is necessarily for me. While it's good for families, friend get togethers and beginner golfers, I feel like there's an opportunity to attract avid golfers because the facilities are what an amped up driving range should be - Great vibe, solid food, drinks, etc.

Unfortunately, over the last six months or so, I've noticed a significant decline in both the service and the overall condition of the facility. On multiple occasions, I've spent an hour at a bay without seeing a server once. No one stops by to check in, while employees can be seen standing around on their phones and seemingly ignoring customers. When you do need help, it can take 10 minutes just to flag someone down--which is especially frustrating when you're paying for the bay by the hour. The club situation has also gotten noticeably worse. Clubs are frequently missing or severely damaged, and it doesn't appear that anyone is inspecting or resetting the bays between guests. Again, you end up wasting paid time tracking down an employee just to get basic equipment. More recently, I've stopped in when both the first and second floors appeared nearly empty, only to be told there were zero bays available. When I asked about it, the manager was rude and dismissive rather than offering any explanation or assistance. At this point, these don't feel like isolated issues. The consistent lack of attention, poor service, employees disengaged from customers, and deteriorating equipment point to a management problem. It's disappointing because I've been a very regular customer and genuinely enjoyed coming here for a long time. And one issue that obviously isn't the staff's fault but is worth knowing before visiting: depending on the wind direction, the smell from the wastewater treatment facility next door can be overwhelming. I hope management takes some of this feedback seriously. This used to be a place I came to several times a week, but lately the experience has made it increasingly difficult to justify coming back.

We started by trying to order drinks, but were told there was no bartender. Fine, we moved on. When my fiancée asked if they had socks, the employee simply shook their head. No explanation, no "sorry," nothing. We ended up going to Goodwill to buy a pair just so we could bowl. Once we finally got on our lane, it malfunctioned three different times. After the third issue, I asked for a refund because it was clear we weren't going to have a smooth experience. The only positive thing I can say is that the facility was nice and clean. Unfortunately, clean floors don't make up for poor customer service and equipment that constantly breaks down. If your bowling lanes are having issues, the least you can do is be friendly, apologize, and try to make things right. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

The lady at the front was a bit stoic at first, but actually pretty funny and friendly as we were just chatting while I waited for my colleagues to arrive. The lady at the bar was nice enough as well. Food was probably 1-2 stars for me - menu was limited and even the food on the menu wasn't necessarily available. The pizza was edible and my colleagues said the tacos actually weren't that bad, but the soda was super watered down and I did end up with a stomachache after dinner. I probably wouldn't come here unless it were another team building event, but at least it got the job done.
