I've been going to this dentist for several years now. Very nice people and facility. However, a few weeks ago I called in and told them I was in significant pain and they told me I would have to wait about 3 days to get me in. I repeated to them that I was in pain but got no offer to get me in earlier. She knew I wasn't happy and when I mentioned that I would find another Dr. she said let her know and she would forward my records to them. I ended up calling another dentist and explained the situation and the Dr. fit me in that afternoon. Ended up needing a root canal. The new Dr was super nice and had a great facility as well. Will need to get my records from them. To not fit in a regular patient who is in pain is not cool. Just know that when using this Dr. read more

My husband and I both love dr Chan + team! My husband has been going here for years, so when I decided to switch dentists it was a no brainer to switch here. Front staff are super welcoming and very kind. They also take photos of their new patients which is a great way to get to know and remember everyone. I had a cleaning with Amber and she was very thorough. Had me going home with squeaky clean teeth. Very nice, and not awkward at all. Dr Chan and his staff don't make you feel weird or embarrassed or ashamed about your teeth which is huge. nobody likes to go to the dentist (sorry cypress) but when you have a great staff it makes it so much easier. I got a few fillings done, one was a little too high and they got me back in immediately to get it fixed which was awesome. I also really like how dr Chan talks to his staff especially assistants. I know it's a "small" thing but it really makes a huge difference for both me as a patient and then as an employee I'm sure. He said please and thank you and is so polite and nice it's nice to see a dentist who cares about his staff. read more

Cypress Dental is the best! Every person in the office is kind and makes you feel welcome. Dr. Chan is a great dentist who does quality work and keeps you comfortable during the process. The whole team is great and I'm so glad I found you guys. read more

I was switching my kids from a pediatric dentist to a regular dentist. In the first appointment at Cypress, each of my kids were told to have "7 and 8 cavities"; and basically the same teeth. I took one of my kids back to the pediatric dentist and was told that there were "no cavities" and those were stains from the previously applied sealant, and that they wouldn't do a procedure that drills (repair cavity) on the tooth just for that. The pediatric dentist examined the x rays taken at Cypress and did an examination as well. A big difference on approach, which may compromise tooth health, and where I felt that this dentist was profiting more than providing good care. read more

I have received the best dental service at this location time and time again! You see the same hygienist every time, so you always feel like you have dedicated care. They explain everything they're doing and are so gentle! I usually see Amber but had to reschedule a recent appointment and was placed with a new hygienist, she was fantastic and I felt comfortable every second I was in the chair! Brian always remembers who you are and takes great care in connecting with his clients, he trusts his team and for good reason. I will not ever go to a different dentist, thank you to Brian and his team for making the trip to the dentist an easy going, and rewarding one. read more

I am so impressed with Dr. Chan and his staff. It's been a while since I've had a dentist who is able and willing to accommodate me with all my various health issues. His staff is wonderful. The office is clean, modern and welcoming. I've already told my friends about Cypress Dental. I highly recommend them. Thank you Dr. Chan! read more

Cleaning. Disappointed with end result. The blackness in my front bottom is still there.

I have been going to Dr. Chan for over 2 years now. I have nothing but good experiences at his office. The front desk Haylee is always warm and friendly. My hygienist is very gentle, and Dr. Chan never presses me to have minor things fixed. I know what is critical and what is optional at the given time. His office is the most organized medical office I have ever seen. Runs like clockwork-- I never have to wait more than a few minutes. I am a picky patient so if I am happy, I'm sure others will be too. Being a dentist or hygienist during COVID is not an easy job. Imagine working on people's mouths and being so close all day. They are taking a risk by taking care of us. read more

It has been well over 15 yrs since I have gone to a dentist out of fear. I was referred to Dr Chan earlier this year and have had multiple appointments with him and his staff and I cannot express enough how lovely they all are and so comforting. Dr Chan has definitely take all my fears away and has my mouth feeling and looking so much better. Thank you Cypress dental for being so Amazing! read more

Scheduling an appointment is easy. The reminders by text are always appreciated too. The front office staff are always warm and friendly at check in. Dr. Brian Chan is an excellent dentist and the team of dental hygienists are always meticulous with their cleanings x-rays and exams. My teeth and gums have never felt better after a cleaning. I actually look forward to my dental appointments now. I have recommended Cypress Dental to my coworkers and family. If you are looking for a new dentist in Reno, this is the place! read more

Great office and great care. No work needed for my wife and me as our teeth are well cared for.

Great place! The staff are great very friendly atmosphere. In and out in no time for a tooth filling. The care to detail is wonderful.

I will always give a good review to the team at Cypress Dental. I have never had a bad experience in their office and the staff is the greatest! Dr.Chan and staff are very good. They got me in and out quickly, and explained thoroughly what was going on.

So happy to be vaccinated and be able go get into the dentist for a cleaning. Great service by Dr. Chan and the entire staff!

As a dental hygienest of 19 years, I became a patient of Dr. Chans after having the opportunity to work with him. A caring Dr. that provides quality work. read more

I have been going to Dr. Chan for about six years and he is great! I just referred a co-worker to him and realized I never left a review for him and his staff. I would gladly refer anyone to Dr. Chan. He has always been so helpful, funny and kind and of course he is a great knowledgeable dentist. He is great at crown work too! read more

So glad my new insurance covers this dentist. He's amazing and so thorough! His staff is amazing too!

As always Dr. Chan and his staff are absolutely the best. Very gentle, no upselling just genuine caring people!

Dental appointments here are super easy. They are always on time and I feel very comfortable with their care and getting any questions answered. read more

Always excellent care at Cypress Dental! And all of the hygienists and staff and Dr Brian Chan are superb. Never worry about anything in their care! read more

Great experience as my crown on top front tooth broke and they saw me the next morning (as a new patient!). Very professional staff, didn't have to wait long to see the doc, prices are very reasonable, and my new crown looks great! read more

Had to get a filling... no fun, but Dr. Chan had me in and out in no time, and it was probably the least traumatic (non cleaning) I've had ever. Thank you for being awesome! :D read more

"Some pain is physical, Some pain is mental. The one that is both Is called dental" I hate going to the dentist, even for small things like cleanings. Fear and loathing usurp all reason if it's something more serious. I had to have a chronic problem molar extracted and Dr. Chan and his staff performed superbly. I hate pain and they were completely sensitive to my hyper-sensitivity. If I must visit a dentist, Dr. Chan is the Man. read more

Dr. Chan and his staff are wonderful to work with. They are always ready for me when I arrive, and they are both personable and professional during the appointment. Very fast, easy, and thorough care. read more

I have now been to Cypress Dental countless of times since my last review in 2015. Their staff continues to be professional and courteous. I no longer have to dread coming to the dentist for a 6 month check-up/cleaning or yearly radiographs. My childhood memories of seeing the dentist are absolute nightmares. Dental cleanings usually left me with bleeding, cut-up gums. Hence the reason I went years upon years without seeing the dentist when I moved out of my parents house. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about having anymore bad experiences thanks to their dental hygienist, Bailey. She is absolutely amazing! Not only is she down to earth and an overall sweetheart, she takes her time to make sure the process is absolutely painless. Once you see Dr. Chan, you'll never see another dentist again. He is patient with answering any questions you may have, and he does a great job of explaining any issues. He removed all four of my wisdom teeth and with as nervous as I was, he was there to constantly reassure me everything would be okay. He would take the time to pause and ask how I'm doing, which was much appreciated. My dad, step-mom, and little sister all come to Cypress Dental. read more

Had an appoint with DMD Chan. Very personable, thorough, and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the fact that he was explaining his rationales on what needed treatment and included me in the decision process. Clinic was very clean, all staff were extremely pleasant and polite. No complaints what do ever, highly recommend. read more

I had another great experience today at Cypress Dental with Dr. Chan. I am not a big fan of dental work. However, my experiences at Cypress Dental have been so great that I am no looking forward to my next appointment. They are thorough, and efficient. Excellent visit! Doctor Chan was great - easy to talk to and provided good information to answer my questions. The office was clean, flexible, and accommodating. My hygienist, Amber, gave the most thorough and gentle cleaning! Enjoyed my first visit and plan to take the rest of the family to see Dr. Chan and his team! read more

I hate going to the dentist, and my last dental experience was a bit of a nightmare. Well, not as much for me, but it definitely was for the girl in the chair being worked on next to me while the hygienist said, "well, if you had brushed your teeth better this wouldn't hurt as much!" I found Cypress Dental accidentally, after a friend referred me to a different place that did paraffin hand treatments and I came here instead. But I decided to give them a chance, and I'm so glad I did. There's no shame for not flossing three times a day, the focus is on making your teeth better, and the staff is great with compassionate care. Yesterday I had a few fillings that needed to be fixed worked on, and Dr. Chan was able to do them quickly and painlessly without the use of shots. Seriously. I didn't even know what was being done. Plus they're giving away free whitening trays and treatments. Those are enough plusses for me. read more

Emily was the best hygienist I've ever had. So patient and talked me through everything as I don't love the dentist. I never want to go anywhere else! Dr. Chan is amazing!! The best dentist office I have ever been to. They don't try to sell you anything like other offices do. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I was steered to this dental practice by a co-worker who said that he loved Dr. Chan. I needed a new dentist as I moved from out of state a couple of months earlier. My first appointment was very thorough, the staff and Dr. Chan were very nice, practical and transparent, and his dental hygienist, Sarah, was awesome. Overall, I love this practice and will continue to use it in the future. read more

I went to Dr. Chan's office on the recommendation of a number of coworkers. I'd been without dental insurance for years, so needless to say, my mouth was not pretty. More than anything, I appreciate the fact that Dr. Chan and his staff didn't feel the need to harp on what I already knew about my mouth. Everyone that works in the office is kind and compassionate. Dentist visits are never "fun", but I don't dread visiting Dr. Chan and his staff. Veronica is great at what she does and I never leave the office in pain. They have done a fantastic job on my mouth and I haven't been this confident with my smile in a long time. You're not just another number in this office- they remember your name and take the time to explain dental jargon in ways you can understand. They are also very much so on top of what my insurance can cover and plan the year so that I'm not paying too much out of pocket. Definitely one of the best health care providers I've ever been to in Reno! read more

love all the staff, esp Dr Chan. really helped put my mind at ease with a recent trauma to a tooth and is good at assuring me it will be fine. thanks for taking care of my smile to both the doctor and hygienist! especially admin for for doing such a great job dealing with insurance:) read more

Awesome people to work with no pain no hustle it's like going to a fast food resto in and out your don

My 1st visit and I was impressed even before I arrive. Front desk is attentive and friendly; by the time I arrive, appointment started on time, everybody was very amazing. They went over what my insurance did and did not cover, how the x-rays and cleaning were going to work and even a bill estimate before my next appointment so I had an idea of costs. Dr. Chan was just an amazing as his staff. Best teeth cleaning experience i've had. Highly recommend. read more

Always a pleasure. The staff is friendly and professional and super efficient with paperwork.

CHEAP INITIAL APPOINTMENT BUT PRICE GOUGES LOYAL PATIENTS. Dr. Chan's offers a great deal for new patients. My husband and I both signed on as we were new to the area and in need of a dentist. Over the years, prices have steadily increased and when I have had dental issues the wait for an appointment has been several weeks. Today I was there for a cleaning and was told that I needed a full x-ray panel or would be denied my cleaning. I balked because I had x-rays last year for my $5K dental implant but was told those "didn't count". Also today, Dr. Chan is running a new patient special with highly discounted x-rays. I asked if I could get a discount like the new patients on the x-rays for being a long-time patient. I was denied. So, I'm done. It is apparent to me that Dr. Chan's business model is to lure in new patients with a great deal and then gradually price gouge over time. He books his time up looking for new patients so much that his existing patients - paying an exorbitant fees - can't get in for weeks when they have the need. Maybe if he treated his existing customers better we'd stick around! I'm looking elsewhere. Goodbye Dr. Chan. read more
