Cyclescape made me realize that I enjoy working out. As a curvy girl, all of the instructors here have been warm and welcoming, treating me like every other client at every size and athletic capability. I haven't been to another spin studio that gives me the same satisfying workout that is equally as fun and also so perfectly sculpting.

    Made it on the board!

I've been attending Cycle Escape for about 2 months now. I'm down 18 pounds!! Instructor's Li, Mandy, Sara, and Dan are passionate with what they do. I can't say I have a favorite, because each one has a different style which I enjoy. Overall The facility is well maintained. The music, sound quality, atmosphere are all great. The instructors are always on time. There is a welcoming feel to it. I have nothing but positive things to say about Cycle Escape.

They have a huge projector screen to make the workout feel so real!

I had the privilege to join (my first ever!!!) Yelp Eastbay's Elite Event: Yelp's Fit Club At Cycle Scape in Walnut Creek this afternoon and I invited a friend to join me as well! It's an indoor cycling studio where we did an intense cardio workout for at least an hour and a half (LIKE OMG I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I DID NOT PASS OUT!!!) ‍‍ First class was taught by William (aka Liam!)... Liam's class was hella fun and upbeat and for someone like me who has ZERO rhythm in my body, I really struggled a lot with each movement.. but whatevs! The room was dark, music was loud and I'm pretty sure everyone was focusing on their own workout to even notice me. Lol. After we finished his class, I though that was it.. But naaaahhh.. It was followed by another instructor named Dan and bruuuhh. He was something else too! Both classes were completely different but both were very challenging! (In a good way!) I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to finish it but I sucked it up and just did the best that I can and pushed through every #pedal! SO YAY ME! I love that there's a parking garage right behind the studio so that's a huge plus! There's also a back door at the studio so you don't have to go all the way around to go in and out. There's also free water refill station at the lobby so make sure you keep yourself hydrated before, during and after the class! They also provide free towels and lockers so that's an even bigger plus! Hehe. The instructors that I met were very nice, accommodating and very knowledgeable about what they do and if I could give them more than 5 stars, I definitely would!

I LOVE spin and have only done it a few places. I abhor boring spin classes and crappy music. I was excited by the title of the classes because it seemed up my ally. High energy and BEATS! They have a fantastic, easy to use website to book classes. You can see the room breakdown and choose your seat. I got wait listed for a class, so I called and they assured me they'd find a seat as I was the first one on the list. I showed up (free parking garage attached, huge perk) and they were super helpful. They checked in to make sure I was comfortable and good to go when I got in. Asked if I had done courses before, needed help with bikes, etc. The bikes are standard. I used to go to a place that had a digital dashboard which told the spin speed, energy output, etc. The instructor was amazing. Li A had amazing energy! The one thing I will say is it was super loud. I thought it was funny they had earplugs out then later I understood why. I could barely hear him over the music. So, be forewarned and grab a pair just in case. But definitely go check it out!

Woohoo! My son's birthday and ROTD!!

You need to get to Cycle Scape and make it more than just your new year's resolution efforts. I love me some spin class. I love the music, the awesome vibe with my fellow exercise nuts, and in general, the whole experience. I love hiking but biking outdoors doesn't offer the same appeal as indoor spin class. Cycle Scape boasts two huge projector screens! They sometimes show virtual terrain of exotic places like Chile or Peru! It's like traveling without having to endure pat-down and customs! Sometimes they play these ginormous EDM rave concerts (those make me feel a little old though) but play different music. The music played by the instructors keeps a really lively session. The instructors are high energy and engaging. Cost: Much lower than the other spin studios in the area. They don't offer spin shoes and you can just use the cage (keeps the cost down) but you can bring your own spin shoes if you desire. Ambiance: Everything is clean and orderly. The hallway for the locker room can get a little cramped especially after class. Did I mention that they are a local business unlike the other spin places in the area? I feel good supporting a local independent store. Tangerines and gum are a couple of extra perks.

Yes!!! Officially in love with Cycle Scape & Kayle (the instructor from tonight)!!

Cycle Scape is the best thing that has happened to Walnut Creek!! The instructors are amazing, the facility is beautiful and the location is perfect. I take Kayle's classes, and WOW. I don't think I have ever gotten such a great workout. I'm usually the girl on a boring cardio machine in the gym, but after seeing what Cycle Scape is all about, my view on working out has changed completely! There is just a positive energy surrounding the studio - you can definitely feel it the second you step through the doors. I've fallen in love with exercising all over again! You will too when you experience a class with the wonderful instructors and the positive vibes at Cycle Scape!!

A pre and post workout snack!

I'm an outdoor cyclist but with the days being short I can't get in my bike rides after work. I don't typically enjoy working out indoors, but loved Cycle Scape's concept - the scenery on the big screens makes you feel like you are outdoors. The music is great and staff is friendly too! I also love the details, like the little oranges to snack on, free lockers, clean restrooms and towels. Can't wait for my next class!

Well what can I say...local business variety upbeat cardio parkingaffordableconvenient times Cyclescape in one of the newest, hottest, high intensity total body workout in the form of a cycling /spin class. Upon arrival you're greated and offered use of their free and secure lockers. Towels are provided and bottled h2o is available upon request l. So far I've taken 3 class and hands down or should I say up the Beat class with instructor Liam is EVERYTHING! My absolute favorite, this has just the right amount of cardio and resistance. Your 1st class is free and make sure to check out the daily deals for same day classes for less.

My experience at Orinda's Anytime Fitness continues to be outstanding in every possible way!…read more Renee has assembled a wonderful team who always greet me and make me feel like a valued gym member! I recently participated in Joti's "group boxing class" which exceeded my expectations. Even though I was the only woman in the class, I loved getting helpful tips from Joti as well from the male participants (in particular, Tom, Nick & Jonnie)! Joti made me feel right at ease! Like many of his Af counterparts, Joti is the "full package." He has flawless people skills, he is very knowledgeable about boxing, and he has a way of making the class a very positive learning experience -both for those who have prior boxing experience, and those (like me) with no prior boxing experience. I so enjoyed Joti's boxing class and I look forward to enrolling again very soon! In my opinion, what makes Renee's team so outstanding is the understanding that what separates the top performers (like AF) from the competition is a strong "relationship orientation" versus a "transactional approach!". Renee's wonderful team exemplifies this "relationship" orientation each & every day: Katee, traing mgr and Siobhan are very knowledgeable and are always upbeat & available for questions. Joti, Jonnie (sp?) and Antoine (all fairly new) also have flawless people skills, are equally knowledgeable and greet me every day; Jonnie and I have had multiple conversations about a healthy lifestyle as to diet & exercise, and Jonnie recently introduced me to Arnold Schwarzenegger's online newsletter which addresses the importance of a healthy lifestyle (many thx Jonnie!!). Last but not least, Stephen is also very knowledgeable and a pleasure to engage; Like his brother, Gershon, Gersavick (sp?) is extremely personable, he greets me every day AND he plays the best Michael Jackson tunes to work out to! The gym is always pristine- from the bathrooms, to the main gym floor and studio. The gym equipment is also well-maintained. Renee, thank you for assembling an outstanding team and for all that you do!!! Many thanks, Elizabeth

Hands down. I joined last year because even though 24 hour fitness was more affordable, the machines and building were just going down hill fast. The last straw was when I had a partially torn meniscus. I couldn't go up and down stairs but I still went to the gym for rehab and for upper body. Their elevator has been out of service for WEEKS. Essentially making it nearly impossible for me to workout if I needed to use the restroom or locker rooms at all. After this I looked through multiple gyms, pricing and their benefits and went with Anytime. I absolutely LOVE that I can go to any of the AF gyms. I've been to a few others and it's been great to hit the gym when I'm traveling or on vacation. Overall Pinole AF is clean, safe and I love that I never really have had to wait for a machine. Yes the gym is small, but it makes up for it by being one of the most hygienic places I've worked out in. Most of the time if someone is on a machine they never truly hog it and I'm able to get my workout done in the time I want. I'm grateful to have found AF Pinole!

With zero ratings / new on ClassPass, I decided to sign up to try it out anyways, and it's one of the best decisions I've made this year. Coincidently enough, one of my former fave OTF coach worked out here, so more of a reason to try FitLab! I signed up for their Hybrid Engine class (HYDOX / DEKA training, etc.) for Monday 6AM, but I wanted to see the facility before a full on class so I wouldn't feel as lost, so I then signed up for "open gym" the day prior. Got there a few mins before it started, and I met Coach/Trainer Larry. He was superb! Larry gave us a nice tour around the facility and described the various machines and stations. He also showed us the amenities- bar, sauna, cold plunge. Amazing! He gave us a nice workout that day as well, focusing on DEKA and we utilized a lot of the stuff- rowing machine, air bike, dumbbells, ski erg, weighted balls, ski pulls/pushes, and more. We also did some body weighted exercises and stretches, as well as some outdoor run up and down the hill. After the workout, he showed us some other stations, more focused on Spartan races. Wow, so strong and inspirational! I had an amazing intro, and was looking forward to the actual class the next morning. Next morning quickly approached, and I was ready for the workout! It was the Hybrid Engine workout, and we did a warmup, then we were divided into groups and were told which stations to rotate around. Nice HIIT style workout focusing on items re HYROX and DEKA. We did some of the machines, some farmer carries, RAM burpees, med ball throws, sandbags, and more. Great intro to a lot of the exercises, and I really enjoyed it. Ended the workout with some dynamic stretching, and I tried the sauna and cold plunge for the first time in my life. Full facilities- locker room, showers, toilets, etc. Shared, which is fine by me. Looking forward to signing up for more classes!
