We have now become regulars to their zoom offerings and while not the same as in person, having become familiar with Anya and Ashley, they are both very good about calling us out on adjustments to our form or slacking off. What I like most about these classes is that they always offer an option with some at home equipment if you have it (bands, weights, chairs, balls, etc) or alternative options if you don't have these things. I personally prefer full-body days but I also enjoy showing up to class not knowing what to expect. That element of surprise keeps you on your toes. This is probably more of a thing for classpass users as they don't say what the theme is for each class. Thanks Sweat for keeping me somewhat active during this crazy time.

The workouts let me get in the zone as I pump iron. Stone is a stickler for form (as he should be!), which has been invaluable over the years as I've had little to no injuries. The workouts themselves are challenging and progressive, with increasing weights over the weeks. They are never boring and certainly not easy. Stone's flexibility with my crazy work schedule is something I greatly appreciate, as I hate to miss my workouts. I joined back in 2022 when I lived in San Bruno, and there was even a time when I was unemployed that I would come twice a day. This studio offers a huge variety of classes, and the instructors are truly the best - so passionate, knowledgeable, and motivating. I've also gotten to know the owner, Leila, and I have the utmost respect for her for creating such a welcoming, community-centered space. She's always open to feedback and is constantly looking for ways to elevate the experience and make sure members are really getting their money's worth. But 510 changed that for me. The first day I walked in there I immediately knew this was where I was meant to get my health back. The community here is full of people you won't necessarily find just anywhere. It doesn't matter how fit you are or how fit the person next to you is, because we will be cheering you on, supporting you in a way you didn't think people did anymore. The coaches keep things fun, but also make sure you are being safe. They are hilarious and also extremely motivating. I really haven't found a gym like this since my old one closed, and to be honest, 510 is even better! I have injuries from a car accident years ago and the coaches are always ready to modify a workout for me. They are extremely knowledgeable at what they do. It doesn't matter what level you are at or if you are injured, I promise you that you won't regret stepping in those doors. It truly changed my life (physically, mentally and emotionally). Every time I go, it helps me believe in myself a little more and some of the best people I have met in my life, I met through Crossfit. Don't hesitate. Run here. You won't regret it.

These past two years have been pandemically bad. Being home all the time can lead to bad habits and terrible mental health. So I joined this gym. I'm no where near the level of the veterans at this gym, but I keep going and keep surprising myself every time. It's tough. It's fun. It's structured. Its clean. Its perfectly located. it took a couple months before it became part of my new life style, but once it did it's powerful mental and physical medicine. Coach is a character. He reminds me of strict high school teachers, hard exteriors but all love in the inside. Unless you forget to sign in, then he is just mad... lol. This gym is for you If you tried regular gyms and don't know what you are doing, or need more out of your workouts. This place is definitely for you if you need a group fitness vibe, I call it collective struggle. Partner workouts are my personal favorites. This group of people is amazing and this gym is amazing…read more I moved to this area and I had never done CrossFit before but Matador Fitness was the closest gym to my house. I ended up having the best fitness experience of my life. Coach David was great and taught me how to do all the barbell movements and gave the right amount of encouragement and coaching to keep me coming in. From October 2021 to May 2022, I went to the 5am classes here, which were perfect for me to get my workout in before workout. I made amazing friends with all the gym members. My wife and I have to move now because of work, but this gym had a huge impact on my physical and mental toughness. I'm looking forward to continuing CrossFit in the city we're moving to. Today was my last day at Matador, and the crew sent me off with an amazing farewell and goodbye card! I can't think of a better, more hard-working group of folks. Not just gym-mates but friends.
