Couldn't be happier with the in-store experience getting my Cardo wireless system installed in my new helmet. After ordering online and double checking by phone re (free!) install service I was greeted by Stephanie (sp) who not only remembered my call but immediately identified the unique requirements for installation in my new Arai lid. After an assist from the equally knowledgeable Kelly (sp) and another teammate behind the scenes, my system was gtg a short time later. On Saturday Dec. 16th 2023, about an hour before it closed, I came to the cyclegear store in Woburn MA, because the hemet I bought online was too small. The biggest size, but for a different head shape. I thought it would be a good idea to go get one from the pro's. My friend told me he would buy it for me for Christmas, so off we went. What a joke. Enter the store to no greeting. There were no other customers. We just didnt rate interrupting the conversation of the employees behind the counter. Head over to the helmet section, realize I could spend far more than an hour there just trying on random helmets, and that a few of them weren't even in the right places according to the logos and the price tags. Head over to interrupt the conversation to ask: "So how does one size a helmet properly? I'm not sure how to know what sizes to look at?" I had my question repeated back to me in a condescending tone like it was the stupidest question ever. "How do you size a helmet?" I explained my online ordering mistake and was told "Every maker has different standards so... just try them all on." So just shove my face into everything i see that might work? Wonder how many others have tried that advice? Not the best thing to hear in a post Pandemic world. I said I had a big head, and he tried to point out a few, but when I said the ones he was pointing out were about double what we were looking to spend he just kind of wandered off. I found one myself eventually. Didn't physically hurt my skull. If there were other checks I should have made to know if it was a proper fit, I was not enlightened. And it was on discount. Bought it. Got home and realized I needed a pinlock lens. The visor will just fog up without it. Was that brought up in store? No. No one thought to mention it. Hell I would have paid just to have it installed properly, because after going on revzilla to order one, I finally got it delivered after over two weeks, to realize I need to adjust the pinlocks to make it flush, and I don't have the 5 ml hexagon and 20 whatever screwdriver tools to do it. Something i was never made aware I might need. Now I can either go back online to find the right tools or find a hardware store. Then maybe I'll be able to safely ride. I'll never do business with your store, or, what I now realize is your equally useless partner website ever again. I feel like this store or Monopoly or whatever you want to call it, exists somewhere beneath pig excrement but above rectal cancer. Congrats on finding your niche. I bought a set of tires, and i put my wheels here to change the tires, they told me that i can pick up next day. Is good

I bought tires there and they told me they would mount them for a really good price. I then found out I needed to remove the wheels, then I would have to wait at least a week. They took my wheels in without recording who I was or what tires they were supposed to be matched with. In the end this was all sorted and I am happy with the results the process was painful and took too long. If their procedure was better I could wholeheartedly recommend them. Their Price matching is a joke. They will tell you anything you want to hear, when you've found an exact same product for a cheaper price. What Cycle gear will tell you is that the discount at the other establishment is too high and they can't give you a price match due to the fact that they will be losing money. This is called business if you're going to "PRICE MATCH" products its up to you as a business to take lost and not pass it on the your customers or refuse to sell the product all together. Be careful of your personal belongings... I left my pin lock at the checkout desk where I was working with an sales rep... they had to make some calls in order to give me more info for my questions. With my stuff still at the counter I was looking around the store for possible alternatives that they might have for what I was looking for so that I could buy all the while with the sales guys at the front desk. Anyways later I come back to checkout & voila... one of my thing went missing. They did look around the desk but couldn't find it. I am sure where I left it because Everything else was there except my PInlock. Despite not finding it I had suggested that may be One of the customers who had checked out in between by the same guy Michel might have accidentally taken it. But this guy Michel who claimed to be the store manager was very rude & unpolite. He, was indicating that I might not have got it into the store.. This is when I started losing it. I mean i understand that it's not his responsibility for my things. But I was damn sure that I did. There was no point in arguing & when I looked up I found that they had cameras installed right above the desk. So I asked them to review the video footage so that we can know the facts & the whereabouts of the pinlock. To that he said he needed to make calls to review the footage and it might that he can only get back to me after hearing back from the corporate. He basically didn't say when he can get back to me. Very rude/racist and impolite manager(the other staff were amazingly courteous though) would never shop here after such an experience. read more

Nothing but positive thing to say about this store. Friendly, experienced staff who definitely have a passion for riding. I wanted to buy a new helmet last fall and they have the best selection (and prices!) of Shoei helmets in probably the entire state. The associate who helped me during the process was patient, engaging, and knowledgable while I tried on numerous helmets. Another time I had bought the wrong paddock stand for my bike, and wasn't around in the area until numerous months later. (I live quite a few towns away) They took it back no questions asked, without a receipt, and gave me the correct one I needed free of charge. Fantastic customer service. They have great bike nights- freebies, food, giveaways- I even won an $80 tank bag one night. Overall a great place to visit for almost anything you need that's motorcycle related. read more

Phone would not work, can't search website to check store inventory, called main number transferred to dead phone, called back dude said he was calling the store manger to see if they had the bolts and would get right back to me, never called back, they suck. Stopped in to get my wife a new rain suit and thank God we did. Rear tire was down to steel wires in one spot. They helped by recommending some shops. Rob even called a friend to see if he could get us a lift. The shop Rob recommended came through in spades and they let us hang out there until bike was picked up. Went few times, and searched/tried gloves, helmets, clothing. NO ONE asked help even though store people were around. I'm from California and no other cycle gear in CA were like this. Probably because here is New England? Another critical issue is this stores' selection is very, very limited. You can find a lot of Bilt and Sedici, those are Cycle Gear's private brand. Due to those two issues (bad people and poor selection), I put everything back to shelves and didn't buy anything. I ordered everything from online store (not Cycle Gear) and other local bike shop. Really sad thing is, there is not much alternative store for motorcyclist in Boston. I need to find other good stores. Update: Greater Boston Motorsports are nicer people and has good selection. Update 2: Cycle gear in RI has really good people, where I decided to buy Alpinestar boots. read more

I ended up going there multiple times during labor day weekend and bought, returned, and exchanged a few things. I also meet a few different team members and found them all to be super helpful. They guided me based on what I asked for without any pressure to buy things. The team there was quite helpful in taking things back and exchanging. Their prices are also very good, especially on their own brands: BiLT and Sedici. Picked up a Sedici 3 layer (outer and 2 removable inner) jacket with armor on sale for $150. We'll see how it lasts but the initial price and quality is fantastic. For that price, I bought a jacket that has armor, inner rain layer and an inner thermal layer. Their prices are also so good that I wouldn't go online for anything they have in store. Why would you buy online, when you can wear the item and try it for fit and get similar price? They also have great prices on parts, oil, stands, etc. Really, check their sale prices in the store first before ordering on line. So far, they are my favorite M/C gear store. read more

These guys are really great. I came in needing a new helmet for me and for my wife on separate occasions. Different guys each time but both of them took over an hour to help us narrow down the choices. They were really knowledgeable about fit and all of their products. No up-selling either. They have a pretty great selection in helmets, but not great in other areas. Plenty of Bilt and Sedici (in-house brand), but if you want something name brand - not so much. Lots of gloves, not many boots. Prices are the same or less than internet as they are owned by Revzilla. Great to be able to try stuff on before buying. read more

Great customer service! I bought a leather jacket online through Cycle Gear. Wore it for about three weeks then had a zipper vent malfunction. Brought it to the CG in Woburn, MA where I asked for an exchange but I wanted to keep the my jacket until the new replacement arrives. "No problem, the new jacket should be here next day" That night I was able to go riding and sure enough I had a new jacket the next day. Good customer service is so rare. read more

This place is awesome. It's like a Toys R US for bikers. Wide selection of helmets, jackets, gloves, etc. I've been there about 3 times now in about 1 year and they even know my name. I'm a big guy and it's been one of the few bike places to stock 3Xl in jackets. It's nice to see a shop that actually sells a few things under the msrp. read more
