He said he's the smartest guy you can ask for when it comes to car installations and he was not wrong. I came by to have a new Pioneer radio installed. When it was all said and done, I left with: -A new pioneer radio -Kicker speakers -Kick subwoofer -Compustart remote starter with DroneMobile -RIMS! I had no idea they also do wheels... And I'll be going back to have a dash cam installed in a few weeks. All of which works flawlessly in my car and has made my 2014 Honda Accord look, sound and feel years newer than it is. If I ever buy a boat, I'll be a lifetime customer haha Strongly recommend, I'm no longer going back to Best Buy for car electronics installs! I found my guy!

I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

Solutions suggested by online techs from the major retailer (who shall remain nameless) sent the virus to my working computer and wiped out my current Windows account. Said retailer, (who shall remain nameless,) then refused to take the computer back. Days later, a Norton tech (one of many companies I worked with online) was able to restore my original Windows account, but with presets lost. I limped along on my project. Then my keyboard failed. I had only the virtual onscreen keyboard. Techs blamed hardware and signed off. We're up to Friday, July 3rd, eve of the 250th celebrations. I knew it was time for an onsite rescue, and a friend recommended PC Mike. I left a desperate phone message, hoping to hear from him after the weekend to make an appointment for a visit the following week. To my surprise, PC Mike called me back a couple of hours later, listened to my woes and said, "Maybe I can solve it from here. Let me sign in and have a look." He was calling from his holiday vacation getaway! It took him less than ten minutes to solve the keyboard problem, and another half hour, less, to solve the problems the techs from the four major companies involved had spent hours on and failed - I had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! After the holiday, he performed even more amazing feats settling me in properly to this new computer and I can tell you, the mouse-pointer moving around on the screen while he works is like watching a magic act, with incredible results.
