They have plenty of sales going on, bicycles standard and electronic assisted, survival gear, clothing from all sorts of brands, boots and hiking gear, camping gear, lanterns, knives, paddles, water shoes, and also have deals on traded in gear. NF is pricey, but for convenience it's cool. The outlet store out in wrentham has plenty of deals tho if you're on a budget and want to get into NF.

I've since bought a few things online (another winter coat and a travel jacket). The few times I've been in this location I've always had great customer service from the staff here. Recommendations and tips have always been wonderful. Just recently, I came in here on a whim to get a fall/winter coat. I tried on a bunch, and wasn't happy. I let the sales associate know what I was looking for and she recommended the SnowFurry. I tried it on and I loved how it fit. Even better, there was a 30% sale going on! It was a whimsical sale, but a good sale. The coat is lined with thick fleece and is water resistant. I am also a part of their rewards program - I had signed up ages ago because I knew I'd be buying a lot more items. Great home base for Boston-based skiiers…read more Brought the skis by Country Ski for one last end-of-season tune prior to a planned move out of Boston. The thing is, in May, these guys were the only show in town; REI had shut down for the summer, and Wicked Sharp (another reasonable place) cut back its hours to a half-day per week. In season, usually got skis turned around in 3-4 days (they get shipped to and from Norwood for the actual work); off season, seems they'll fire up the stone once every other week, or when they reach critical mass for paid tunes. Tunes themselves were high-quality, with minor (or moderate) additional repairs (such as hammering back steel edges!) often thrown in for free. Not sure how much tunes really cost, but don't need to actually bring the coupon in to get a $40 job.

I drive an hour to go see Jerry, and why? Because he's that good…read more It's a pretty simple fact that the sporting edition big box stores are looking for one thing - Money. Spend an afternoon with Jerry and Rick and it becomes obvious that they're in it for the love of the sport. I was given a bow by a co-worker, it was old and needed a lot of help. The big box store near where i live told me that it was a waste and i should just buy one of their expensive bows and be done with it. Jerry, on the other hand, i walked in with my decades old bow and within 30 minutes he had turned it back into a viscous target hunter. After a while i bought a brand new Hoyt Charger from Jerry and more or less have since retired my old bow. The difference is that i would much rather support a guy that was willing to work with what i had first, rather than the big stores that tried to milk my wallet the moment i walked through the door. Now just to add a bit about the shop environment. I would go here even if i wasn't a hunter. Walking in is like going to hang out with a bunch of old friends. Everyone is telling their stories, laughing, and joking. You've got guys walking in with giant fish that they just pulled, all so they can show off their catch. It's a great place to be. Bottom line - Jerry's is a store, but its also an experience you wont forget. Check it out!
