Very poor service, i purchased a firearm for $800 here and they offered me $175 when i wanted to sell. I did not accept the offer and the worker said i am not allowed to do business at this store and made me leave, very crappy customer service at this location. Ive spend a couple thousand dollars here and had good experiences in the past but the guy with the glasses is a horrible employee. The employee said i was lying when i said i paid $800 for this firearm here so i told him to check the system for a receipt he got mad and refused, as they made me pack up and leave the guy working did not put the firearms back into the case correctly or safely how they were given to him, this place is unprofessional and unsafe be careful at this location. Absolutely best experience buying firearms. I spotted a pistol on their website that no other shop had and I drove over to visit. I am not fond of this area and its always been a bit shady. This place sits in a small stip mall and is the last store and covered by cameras and a Ring doorbell to let you in with reason due to this area. I went in and this staff could not have been friendlier. They let me see some pistols and even talked to me about pros and cons. I was quickly set up with the pistol I wanted and even set me up with a customer made leather holster set. What I found was a shop with a really nice mix of firearms from old school lever actions to revolvers to (yes) some modern firearms. This is a pretty good gun store. The purchase experience is on par or better than other stores. The reason I review them at three stars is due to my most recent experience with them. I ordered a gun directly through them. I was told they would match another store's price on the gun, they did not. I didnt catch this until it was too late, thats on me. Once i received the gun, I got a look at the order invoice from their supplier. The supplier sent them two magazines for my gun, but I was only given one. I paid full price for this gun and only got one of the magazines I paid for. So not only did I pay them for this magazine, they can now turn around and make money off my back and sell the magazine without my knowledge. Its a cold game, I know, but I wont be spending my dollar there any more. read more

My daughter in law wanted to gift my son an original WWII M1 carbine for Christmas. I also planned to gift each of my sons a Ruger 10-22 as Christmas presents. Both have valid Massachusetts firearms permits. Gifting a firearm is legal provided that the recipient follow all state and federal laws when taking possession and that the gift is processed through a licensed gun store within the state that the recipient resides. (I should mention that I was a RI firearms dealer for nearly 40 years and I have a good amount of expertise in the field of WWII firearms. I am also an NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Home Safety Instructor. I am also certified to teach the mandatory RI Pistol safety course which is required in RI for any person wishing to purchase a handgun. The MI carbine was quite an expensive investment so my daughter in law asked me if I would come to the store and inspect the rifle upon arrival to make sure if was as represented by the auctioneer and that all markings were correct.) As per Federal law, the firearms had to be shipped from another gun dealer to a licensed gun store within their state. I called Steve's tactical to inquire about the procedure. I emphatically explained that the guns were not for me and that I wanted to follow all proper procedures to have them transferred. They were very friendly at first, told me the cost to do the paperwork, and even accepted delivery of the Ruger 10-22s. He even called me a couple of weeks before Christmas to verify that the rifles were in and I told him my sons would take delivery immediately after Christmas and that I would accompany them to pay the transfer/paperwork fees.. He agreed to store them until that time. When the MI carbine arrived, Steve called my daughter in law to let her know. She told him I would be coming along to inspect the rifle as it had been purchased at an auction. Steve then told her I would NOT be allowed to hold and inspect the rifle. When I called the store to inquire why, Steve became very belligerent. He yelled at me and accused me to trying to pull what is called a "straw man tactic" (whereby a person attempts to purchase a gun and gives it to another person illegally). I emphatically denied this (as I stated earlier, I wanted to insure all purchases are done withing the law). He refused to listen and then told me to find another dealer and that I would have to pay to have the guns brought to them. I finally got the guns picked up by another dealer who was not trying to screw around with me. I am a 66 year old college educated person who has lived and worked with firearms all my life. I am also a public school teacher and a respected member of my community. I am very familiar with all federal gun laws and only do things "by the book". To be belittled and demeaned by any business is unacceptable. If it was possible to give this gun store zero stars, I would do that in light of my experience. I recommend you take your business to any other store who will respect you and treat you with dignity. read more

Stay away from this place. Let me preface this by stating that I was a Rhode Island Firearms dealer for nearly 40 years prior to becoming a public school teacher. I also am a NRA Certified Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, and Homes Firearms Safety Instructor. I am additionally certified to administer the Rhode Island Pistol Safety Course, a requirement for any person in Rhode Island wishing to purchase a handgun. I wanted to gift my each of my sons a Ruger 12-22 for Christmas and my daughter in law wanted to gift my son a pristine WWII M1 Carbine. She asked me if I could help her locate one and inspect it upon arrival to make sure it was as represented. Both of my sons are Massachusetts residents and both have Massachusetts Firearms Permits. Even though I could have bought the guns, had them shipped to Rhode Island, and simply given them to them I had no desire to circumvent any laws and insisted on following all state and federal laws currently in place. As both of these were purchased from out-of-state gun stores, the proper procedure (as mandated by Federal Law) is to have the guns shipped to a Massachusetts gun store which, in turn, assures that the recipients are in compliance with state and federal law, logs in the guns and completes all federal and state forms. I called Steve's Tactical to see if they would be interested in receiving the guns. I emphatically told them, several times, that I was not the recipient but needed a gun store who would transfer them legally. Steve stated that he would be willing to do this, gave me a price for the transfers, and accepted the guns upon arrival. He first called to me to tell me that he received the Ruger rifles and I told them I would be coming in with my sons after Christmas. They would receive the guns and I would pay the transfer fees. He agreed to this. About two weeks later, he called my daughter-in-law to tell her the M1 Carbine had arrived. She told Steve that she would be in that Friday and that I would be meeting her to check out her purchase prior my son receiving it. (I am an expert in WWI US military weapons and wanted to appraise the gun for proper condition, markings, etc.) Steve told her that I would NOT be allowed to handle the rifle. I immediately called the store to find out why. Steve became very belligerent and started yelling at me. He told me that this sale "smells like a straw man setup" (whereby a person purchases a gun to be privately and ILLEGALLY sold to another) and that he did not wish to do any business with me. I reminded him that I told him from the beginning that this was not the case and that I wanted to do the sales legally by both state and federal law, but he refused to listen to me. He told me I would have to pay to have the guns transferred to another dealer and that he wanted nothing to do with me. We were finally able to find another dealer who agreed to pick the guns up and not try to screw us over. I was allowed to inspect the firearm, assure my daughter-in-law that it was as represented, and left WITHOUT the gun in my possession. It is obvious that Steve has no respect for others. To accuse a 66 year old man with no criminal record of trying to illegally circumvent the law, yell at him as if he was a 4 year old, and belittle him is inexcusable. I would not suggest doing business with a person such as this. There are simply too many better options (gun stores) available who will treat people with dignity and respect. read more
