Bought my first handgun here and the employees are great but would never go back based on the owners behavior, he frequently responds to negative honest reviews to attempt to change the narrative. There are plenty of ffls in the area that are more professional and have more integrity, my advice is check them out. Here's a link to my google review so you can see for yourself what I mean https://maps.app.goo.gl/MzmNAnmz5LeFsUjW8?g_st=ic read more

I take back my review from yesterday! I ordered a Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield EZ and waited 1 week for it. There is no way possible that S&W would have sent this new!!! This is a damaged gun that I got suckered into buying for $700! Do not go there, Do not give them your business! read more

J&J Arms - Bent AF sight! The photo also shows that is was bent or dented. S&W wouldn't have let this leave their factory! I was swindled! - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Dedham, Massachusetts

I've been there multiple times. Had a gun shipped there and they never contacted me. Would not return calls or emails, and could not find the fun when I went in! Way over priced. The in store staff are nice, but would go to 508 or Steve's for better service. read more

Horrible staff attitude and terrible customer service. I went in to purchase a firearm that cost about $1,300. After thinking it over, I changed my mind and told the employee that it wasn't the model I actually wanted. The reaction I received was completely unacceptable. The employee told me I had wasted his time and that his time was "very valuable," as if helping customers wasn't part of his job. He then informed me that I was banned from returning to that store and any of their other locations. When I asked why he was reacting so aggressively just because I wanted to return the firearm, he repeated that I was wasting his time and told me to leave immediately or he would call the police. His behavior became increasingly intimidating. At one point, he put his hand in his pocket in a way that made me feel threatened. To make matters worse, he placed my firearm and ammunition in separate bags and threw them onto the counter with an attitude that suggested I was somehow dangerous. I have never been treated with such disrespect as a customer. If this is how they treat people who are trying to make a major purchase, I would strongly recommend being cautious before doing business here. read more

As a new gun owner, purchasing her very first gun, I was so excited to support a minority owned, small business. I love that they hire women in a predominantly male industry. J&J WAS everything wrapped in a bow. Until I made my first order. Initially, they thought they gave my gun to another person. 2 weeks later they never put in the order. After 2 months of unanswered calls, voicemails, pops-ins, no gun. Sadly, I had to get my money backs. Customer service is so important, all the owner had to do was call me. A phone call cost 4 new customers, and countless referrals. It's unfortunate. read more

Overpriced as hell. Got a handgun for like 400 bucks over MSRP that was used and uncleaned. Weird hours. Nice staff though

Definitely would recommend Prices reasonable and knowledgeable plenty of goodies Helpful staff no rush Will return for more goodies Thank you read more

Employees are friendly and helpful, but that's where the positives end. Way overpriced, well above MSRP in most cases. Extreme ripoff for smithing. The smith, himself, told me he was working with minimal equipment and had to bring that from home. They quoted me $40 to install sights and then attempted to charge me $120 after it took them an hour and a half. Good thing I waited while they did the job, as the smith brought it back up to me twice with unacceptable results. They also destroyed my factory sights, obviously using punches instead of a proper press. Also, do not believe the bait prices listed online. They're off by hundreds of dollars in some cases. Update: The sights were not aligned with a bore laser when installed and, sure enough, they're not accurate, hitting over two inches to the right at 10 yards. I can't even trust them to correct the problem at this point. They'd probably try to charge me more labor, anyway. Update 2: A $45 Amazon sight pusher did the job better than their gunsmith with a punch. Didn't even need a bench mounted vise/press. Should have just done that in the first place... But at their $40 quote, I assumed letting an "expert" do it was the right call. Probably could have saved my stock sights. I won't ever be going back to J&J Arms. read more

Had a really positive experience here. The team is friendly, patient, and takes the time to explain things without making you feel intimidated. I especially love that they have women on staff, it makes a big difference. Great place for beginners and experienced customers alike! read more

don't answer the phone . rude and terrible service. owner never there and always a hassle

Do not go their Bad Customer service sold me a gun lazer was off didn't come with the Wrong magazine

The owner has reached out to me regarding my negative experience and looking to resolve the issue. I will say that I appreciate the owner making an effort to reach out to me and others when there is a negative experience. It is something that you do not see from other businesses small or large. Usually they just blame the customer and ignore the review. We spoke about the issues I had and I have decided to change my review to 5 stars and give them another chance. I will also point out that there are some positives regarding J&J arms from other times I went there. They are usually very nice and professional and are willing to help you out with issues that you have. read more

Went there today and found the customer service A+. They weren't pushy and took as much time as I needed to look around and ask a dozen questions. I would highly recommend them based solely on their service. read more

I would avoid this place go to Outter limits ! At j&j the customer service sucks they aren't helpful and the owner will throw in a box of ammo for the almost guaranteed negative experience! read more

I like this place. First business I visited in Massachusetts when I moved by car from California, last Summer. Couldn't get anything but some OC spray at the time, because I didn't have a MA LTC yet. Friendly service. I'll definitely be back. read more

Jim M from Marshfield is a complete A$$. This guy leaving the 2 stars because he was asked to pay under market price for 9MM ammo. Let's see.. There is zero 9mm inventory at Cabela's, Kittery Trading post and Bass Pro shops. J&J has it for under market. Gunbroker.com is actually getting $1.20 a bullet plus shipping and The Gun Parlor in Worcester is getting almost $2.00 a bullet. Jim from Marshfield needs to do his math. $40 or a box of 50 federal is a great deal. Now the review.. Very professional, reasonable prices and very efficient with the laptop in the lobby. However, parking does $uck but not for long. They are planning to move to a bigger location. Joshua Cruz the owner is true professional. I highly recommend. read more

Top Quality service. Very informative/knowledgeable when it comes to their products. They took the time to not only answer my questions but to showed me everything I wanted to see as well. The shop is continuously getting new pieces so there's always a great selection to choose from. The staff is beyond friendly and honest, not looking to just place a sale. Only place I will go to moving forward!!! 10 out of 10 read more

Great up-and-coming gun shop. I first went to J&J Arms because they were the first place I called that had exactly the boomstick I wanted (Beretta 92FS). They had exactly one left. I made haste. The first thing you'll notice is parking is a squeeze. You may want to park in the nearby shopping plaza. Josh & team are friendly, but not so friendly you walk out with more heat than you set out to buy. They're just guys who know and respect firearms, and they seem genuinely glad to see customers, rather than see them as nuisances. I had a question about conversion tubes that Josh wasn't sure about, so he called his buddy and asked on the spot, which was nice. They're also straightforward and helpful if you call beforehand to confirm whether they've got what you're looking for. They did all the paperwork by-the-book, but didn't drag it out. Pretty efficient. They had a laptop set up, so entering my LTC info was easy. The following visit to J&J Arms I did an ammo-only run. I don't want to encourage hoarders, so I can't say exactly what I got, but I will say they had plenty of it. And yes, the Beretta has shot straight and shot great in our range time so far. It reminds me of the Beretta 682 I had many moons ago. They sure know how to make 'em in Italy. J&J Arms is the kind of place you don't want to become TOO popular, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does. Just a very solid gun store, and just a whisker from Boston. read more

purchased a few guns from them recently, awesome guys, great customer service and some of the best prices around. Deffinitley will continue to do business with j and j. read more

Rip off Alert! Anyone who enjoys shooting sports knows that popular calibers in handgun ammunition has been scarce as hen's teeth for months. I bought 2 boxes of steel case Russian Tulammo 4 months ago for $18 a box limited to 2 boxes, and wasn't happy with the price. When I called J&J Arms in Dedham I was surprised to hear them say they had ammo and there was no limit. I drove 30 minutes to get there to find they indeed had 9mm ammo and lots of it, but only basic Federal white box range ammo at $40 a box. Forty dollars! I understand the laws of supply and demand, and thought it might be $20 or $25 a box during the shortage. Nope. These guys are rip off artists extraordinaire. They are cashing in on the misery of sportsmen who can't find ammo to go to their gun club ranges for target shooting. I had 1 option, no defensive ammo at all, and I didn't even bother picking up my other calibers if they had some. I was pissed off. If I hadn't committed to a hour round trip to this joint I would have told them off and walked out without spending a dime. Screw me once shame on you. There's not going to be a second time for J & J. Eventually, target shooters know that ammo prices will come down, and supply will meet demand. When that happens I hope everyone boycotts these rip off artists who capitalized on the plight of local sportsmen. I hope everyone remembers what they did, and take their business elsewhere when things return to normal. read more

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Would highly recommend. Bought a handgun and will be going back for more.

Great group of knowledgeable folks who can direct and coach you. The owner once told me- " I tell all my customers, if you going through something and you need someone to talk to. Give me a call and I will close the shop for that day. We will go grab lunch, dinner go fishing! read more

Excellent, excellent experience. I had shot plenty but never owned my own before. I went in and said roughly what I was looking for. Alex grabbed 5 or 6 of his recommendations and spent over an hour with me, answering every (often very basic) question with a smile on his face, and I saw Vlad do the same with another customer. This will be my go to shop read more

Terrific and knowledgeable staff. Super patient as well. Edgar sold me a highly sought after product. I felt really lucky to walk in the door when I did. I have been to a lot of firearms stores and this one presented the best experience I have had. I will definitely be back. A real Class A, 4-star operation. read more
