508 is a tiny gun shop in Walpole with easy parking out front. I've bought a couple of guns here…read more Despite the tiny space, they actually have a good selection of handguns, rifles and shotguns, and actually a quite interesting selection too. A more modest selection of ammo. They are owned and operated by a husband and wife, who seem to be the only employees. They are very friendly and willing to chat and show you guns. Although sometimes there are 3 or 4 customers at a time, so they have to flit back and forth. The wife usually handles the ATF Form 4473 paperwork (which is largely via a computer you use to enter your information). Prices aren't rock bottom, but I still recommend 508 because of their fine service. It is nice to finally find a gun shop where all the employees are happy to see and serve you.

When I…read morecalled this person and informed them that it had been weeks and my item hadn't been received yet, their response was once we put it in the mail it's no longer our problem. I reached out to GunBroker when this person had not reached out to me but had decided that they were going to charge me the shipping fee plus a restocking fee on an item that I had never actually physically seen. When I bought the auction to begin with they had not communicated with me at all until they sent me some flippant message that they had canceled the order. That was confusion on my part because I touched the auto pay feature for Visa Mastercard but apparently you still need to call them and give them your credit card over the phone. This is also shady considering I don't know who's writing down my number I don't know how many people have my number. I now have to spend 2 hours on the phone with my bank and file a fraudulent purchase report because this person has not corresponded with me in over two weeks. When they did correspond with me the only thing they stated was that GunBroker had gotten a hold of them. Why should I have to come off of any money when it was a failure of the post office and the shipper to properly communicate to the purchaser what all was going on. they have essentially stolen money from me they have done nothing to earn the money they have taken from me and again I have yet to ever see a package a product not a hair nor a holler. He tried to say that you can't own glock unless you're a "law enforcement" which is absolutely not true in any way shape form or fashion. You just cannot buy them firsthand you can absolutely purchase them, secondhand or private sale. I had a question about magazines, and if the 10 round magazines are the same dimensions as the 17 round magazines. He tried to tell me that I was making things up when I asked about the "blockers" in the magazine that stop it from holding more rounds. Mass compliant magazines absolutely have polymer blockers or dimples to stop it from holding more rounds that legal capacity. That dude chris seems absolutely miserable. He is one of those people that is very toxic in the gun community. Conveniently I called another store and he immediately knew what I was talking about. Chris also has nothing but excuses to negative reviews left. If you're new to firearms, don't even bother going here.
