This Dick's Sporting Goods is HUGE! Two floors with plenty of sports gear. You can find all the apparel, men's, women's, & kids, on the first floor & I believe the equipment on the second floor. Located across from the Natick Mall, it's one of my favorite stores to frequent. You can catch a bunch of sales on popular brands such as Nike, Patagonia, Adidas, etc. Sometimes you can find their shoes on sale; Hoka Bondi 8s are currently on sale by the way ;)) Had a great experience today here. I was looking for an item that the app had said was in stock at this location. A worker assisted us in searching for the size so was looking for. Never had issue here! Love DSG! Ample parking, always a huge store they don't have all the frills of the new one but overall we enjoy this location. They have sneaker selection which we were looking at and trying on, staff was friendly to us and asked us if we needed sizing right away. Horrible customer service. I came in to pick up and online order and went to the registers to ask where I should go. The cashier just pointed without saying anything to a horribly marked area. I walked over there figuring she would either help me or get someone to help me but she did nothing. We also needed to try on cleats but couldn't find anyone to get our sizes. They also didn't have any type of inventory for the cleats. I'll never go back to this dicks. read more

This morning just after 10 I went in to try and get a store credit for a pair of football pants that my son never wore. I don't have the receipt. Nishant was at the register and he was very kind and professional. He asked the other girl at cash register #1 a question about the return and she was so rude and disrespectful to him. It was determined that it was beyond the 90 days for the return/ store credit which I completely understand. Her eye rolling and nasty attitude was uncalled for. Dicks doesn't get credit for all the good things they do. Today had a very positive experience with Travis in bike section. Could have gone south with return after interacting with floor manager. Travis went above and beyond and wife is real happy with GT bike. It's gratifying when you find good service. read more

In general I find Dicks a convenient place to pick up gear on short notice, though pricey on the whole. But there are things that make you wonder about who's doing the buying when you get something like this. It might only be a kids $20 ball, but "round" should be requirement from the supplier. This is not close, and means wasting close to an hour of time to return it for a good one that we'll check at the store before leaving. I think my wife bought some warrantee on it too. It stinks that Dick's has a near-monopoly on sporting equipment in the area. The store is always incredibly under-staffed, especially the shoe department. Surly, slow-moving staff take forever to even notice you standing there waiting for someone to get your size. Every time my kids take up a new sport, it's the same annoying slog to try to get shoes. A dozen parents standing around looking at each other as if to say "Is this place for real?" And now I had the stupid idea to try to use Dick's for a simple bike repair (a new chain). After I did all the paperwork, they told me they didn't have chains in stock and it would probably take a week to get it, but someone would call me the next day with more details. Guess what? No one called me. Surprise, surprise. So I called THEM the following day and was repeatedly put on hold just for someone to ultimately tell me no one who could could help me would be there until 5:30. (And really, a place doing bike repairs doesn't make a point to keep CHAINS in stock?) Dicks's get 2 stars because they have a good product selection. They might get 3 if they weren't so expensive. A coupon that didn't exclude every name brand in the store would nice once in a while. But their customer service is a joke. I need to remember to go to Natick Outdoor Store more often and support a local business that actually cares about its customers, and isn't just relying on its monopoly status among chain stores. read more

***do not buy exercise equipment or use select express delivery from the Natick, Ma location*** We bought a treadmill from this location and the guy said he had to choose a different treadmill for delivery purposes but would put the correct treadmill in the notes For select express to deliver. We bought this three weeks ago with five "attempts" to deliver and assemble it by select express. The first four attempts failed because select express said the treadmill was too heavy. You think after coming to this conclusion after the first attempt they'd figure it out. last Tuesday after the fourth attempt I spent an hour at the store trying to figure it out and all that resulted was Dicks and select express blaming each other for this colossal mess. I went home that night and we got an email promising it to be delivered Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday. Wednesdays time slot came and went with no word from select express. That night they sent an email saying they had no open slots that day or the next. They promised Saturday would be the day (Yesterday). They showed up with the wrong treadmill. long Story short - we still do not have our treadmill and have no new date for delivery. I'm giving it to Wednesday to fix this before I return this $3,000 treadmill and go elsewhere. I almost never post on yelp, but the customer service at the Natick Dicks is unbelievably poor. I came here on Friday and wanted to buy this big bench press rack and weights. Almost no one around. Finally I got a manager, who was nice, but didn't know anything about the prices, what it includes, etc. finally, figure out that's the only one so I had to get the floor model, st a discount but I have to come back on Sunday with a rented truck. On Sunday I come back, the same manager isn't there. It wasn't reserved, and the people in the store say I can't buy the floor model!!!!! After 30 min of waiting around they get a manager (on the phone!) , Doug, and he says I can't buy it and the previous manager, Allison, never should have sold it!! What a S$!) show! The Dick's Sporting Goods of Dick's Sporting Goods. Should be really called Dick's' "Flagship" Store, because honestly it's the king of sporting goods. With two floors of fun, you can't go wrong. Kids love this place.... every time I come in some sort of escalator races are going on. All the deals, friendly employees and vast stocking or merchandise is why Play It Again Sports and Sports Authority went out of business. Dick's Sporting Goods in Natick is just the king! This place sometimes even makes me feel bad. Why are the people of Natick entitled to such a gorgeous store! While the Dedham location (near my house) is fine.... it's not even close to the spacious, open and well stocked than this one. Here, there is much more inventory and the two floors create such an open and airy vibe. They accept expired coupons (mine was only one day old.... but I'd assume they would if it was a few days or a week after expiration), and are more than happy to fill up balls with air, even if you didn't buy them there! The checkout area is efficient and fast and the manager is extremely friendly as well (didn't get her name). Gentlemen in the men's clothing and footwear sections are also friendly. Useless waste of time. Needed certain athletic shoes, looked online, Dick's website showed them to be available. No "online only" or anything resembling a warning that they weren't available in store to try on first. Looking good so far, right? In store, first salesperson completely ignored me for another customer. No "I'll be right with you" or other acknowledgement. Later sales person friendly but didn't know. Finally, third salesperson knew that the shoes were NOT actually in the Natick store, and didn't know the status of the other stores, and didn't even offer to check other stores. Basically, he didn't give a crepe. At least we avoided the crazy line at the registers. Misleading, poorly designed website, useless, apathetic staff. Dick's is appropriately named. read more

Came all the way here to purchase pepper spray, their website said they have it in stock. Sure enough when I got there the sales person said they haven't had this product for a long time. This was a very large two story sporting good store. I questioned why the Internet was telling me I can find a product like pepper spray in a store as such? I guess I should have known better and called before doing the distance driving. As for the appearance of the store, it was a enormous mess, it looked as if it had not been cleaned for a long time. It's a megachain and has all the problems that come with a megachain. Poor service with people that work there that don't want to be there, usually under staffed to begin with, with sure a large selection, but usually a large selection of junk, so it doesn't matter if it's priced right (because junk is junk) Go to Natick Outdoor instead for a locally owned business that has the same stuff, but at least you get the service you need. read more

Wonderful visit to Dick's in Natick. I in need of Tully hat but did not know how to determine my size. A great lady (wish I knew her name) of the first floor not only helped me determine there were non in stock. She then looks up how to measure had sized, more difficult that one would expect. After finding out the proper size she sent me to a young man, Alex, on the 2nd floor to place on order. He too was a wonderful and very patient person. Order place :-). This made my visit a pleasure. The shoe/clothing section employees I saw literally walk around like they were just roused from bed. Slouchy with miserable looks on their faces while literally avoiding eye contact so you don't ask them a question, or God forbid, ask them to grab you a sneaker from the back!! I was extremely disappointed with the staff at this store. Shoe department employees are extremely rude. They did not wait to see if the shoes fit or if we needed a different size. They would leave the shoes and disappear into the backroom. I felt as if we were an inconvenience. They had a lack of inventory also. This is not my usual store location and I wouldn't recommend it. Wasn't to bad. If you knows Dick's you know they are pricey. The good knews is they have good deals on shoes. I don't mean sales but I walked around the Natick mall, kohl's and other stores and the shoes I was looking for went for around 80 bucks to 120. My shoe size in a 13 is also hard to find but when I went to Dick's I found quite a few shoes I wanted in my size and a pair of the very same shoes I had been looking for at 65 bucks, not to shabby. Dick's has tons of parking and its a really big store. The shirts are expensive though as I haven't seen a shirt under 20 bucks there. That should give you an idea on most of the prices in the store. Over two months ago I had my golf clubs regripped at the local golf galaxy (owned by Dick's). The sales associate pointed out that if I opened a Dick's MasterCard I would receive $40.00 worth of points shortly and there would be no labor charge. I am still waiting for my $40.00. After a month I've made weekly phone calls to various customer service phone numbers. Every time I have been made promises or guarantees that I would see my credit this weekend. They sell stuff. For sports. It's right there in the name. The product is typical. The prices are average (and sporting equipment isn't cheap) Two floors. I wish all the apparel was together. Escalator go up. Escalator go dooowwwwn. And me along with it in the search for clothing and equipment to take on a 4 day hike in South America. But the timing was perfect. I was leaving in a week. They were, apparently, having a sale of 50% off clearance items. Most of what I needed was on clearance. For a little over $90, I was able to obtain: Bikini Top Bikini Bottom Under Armor women's T-shirt Thin, zip-up, wicking running shirt with hood and thumb holes Moderate pull-over running shirt with hood and thumb holes Sweatshirt/Fleece type pull over Nalgene bottle (without that weird chemical) Unfortunately none of the pants they had fit me very well. And their hiking sock and Maglite selections were lacking. Otherwise those would have been procured as well. But either way, major score. read more

Cash register staff doesn't bag your items and acts put out if you ask for a larger bag. Only shop here because they have a larger inventory than similar stores in the area. I have to admit that I don't come here on my own, instead I am usually accompanying my boyfriend when he is in need of fishing supplies. As a whole I find the store overpriced. Who really goes out and buys a North Face fleece, a pair of Nike Boing sneakers, or a kayak everyday? I have purchased a few things here though...one of those expensive Swiss aluminum water bottles for the bf, and a pair of crocs for me. They are usually out of items that I am looking for like Merrell shoes and it's hard to find someone to help you. Even when you hunt someone down, you can tell they're annoyed by having to help. The employees mostly stand around in groups taking to each other. Recently we went in to check to see if the had snorkel gear on sale since it is the middle of Fall and we are going to Mexico soon. Sounds like a good idea, right? Well they had two sets and no prices. My boyfriend asked a cashier to check the price and it honestly took close to 5 minutes! Went in for Nike free run+ shoes, came out happy even without them. The sales guy was very helpful. He showed me the shoes I wanted, but they didn't have the color I wanted in stock, so he was going to order me some. (this is not a negative complaint because of that, i always have trouble finding shoes that fit!) But I really wanted some to take home, so he showed me comparable shoes, and I found a pair that I loved! He was so helpful, and gave me good advice. We go there often for hockey, golf, snowboard and summer gear. Can't go wrong with this place. So much there, so many sports covered. Love it. read more

Do you need new running gear? How about a snowboard? Fishing rod? Golf shoes? ......basically, if you're in the market for "Sporting Goods," there's a good bet that you'll find those "goods" at Dicks' (teehee). HUGE store (two floors) with EVERYthing - even a corner devoted to Boston teams (Celtics, Bruins, Sox, Patriots, etc) apparel! Great selection of Spyder, Columbia, and North Face (no EMS/REI, though); all organized and orderly. Only two changing rooms (that I know of), but they were clean (thank god!). I happened in on this store by chance as I was waiting for car work to be completed...aaaaand I ended up finding some GREAT running gear on clearance (MINE!). The store is kept SPOTLESS and the staff is fun, friendly, and informative. I was there as the store opened and I joked around with the guys. If I'm in need of said sporting goods.....I will certainly return to Dick's (.......tmi?). read more

It's big, clean, and has an impressive assortment of everything athletic. Including... *drum roll, please* inline skates. Yep. I got a sweet pair--on sale!--during tax-free weekend, and there was a great selection to choose from, including the ever-grand Rollerblade roller blades. Plus, I was even able to try them out a bit inside the store (they're right next to the bikes, so there's a nice aisle where you can try either of them out), just to make sure they fit right and felt good. Thanks, DSG, for getting me into my first pair of inline skates since elementary school (oh, the days of Skate City!)... this will be a fun adventure, to be sure. read more

I stopped by Dick's on the way into Boston, just as a blizzard was starting to roll in. Frankly, I was amazed at just how much they offer. I was particularly impressed with the upstairs section, where the hunting/camping gear was supplemented by a healthy array of winter stock. If I had one issue, it was in organization. While the layout makes plenty of sense to a regular, for a first-timer, it wasn't easy finding my way around. The only real way to know what section your in is to judge it by the visible stock, so there's some guesswork involved. That's great if you've got time to burn, but not so fun when you're there with a purpose. That said, the staff secured that 4th star.They were running a skeleton crew and clearly getting ready to close. Despite this, they were quite approachable and helped me find exactly what I needed among the vast array of gear. read more

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the people who are still sitting in this "new" footwear section. I would love to get a pair of shoes before I die... but the employees take a whole year to get the shoes. And if they don't fit, we'll forget it you are not getting a new pair of shoes today. I think I saw a man and his family camping out in a tent while he waited for his pair of shoes to arrive from the back. Check prices online before you go in, Dick's DOES NOT HONOR THEIR OWN WEBSITE'S ONLINE PRICE if it is lower. Went in and even showed the cashier the lower online price, and he couldn't honor it, and when I contacted customer service, their answer was that sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't, honor online pricing in the store - EVEN THEIR OWN WEBSITE!
