I think the floors need a good cleaning from the remodel because all the shoes had sandy grit on the bottom from previous try ons. I have mixed feelings about this location, my #1 disappointment is how long it takes to checkout: at 11:30am yesterday, there was only one cashier working. ONE, and it is the week before Hannukah/Christmas!! Behind the checkout area was a (female) supervisor of some sort who was sorting boxes, and while that could have been for something important as well, perhaps getting customers who are trying to pay moving through the line would have been better??!! Check the DSW.com site before you pay because there may be a deal/promo code: I looked and there was a $15 off code with a $49+ purchase; I'll take the $15.00 (get a screenshot for easier checkout). On the good side, the clearance shoes have been well-organized each time I have been in (although there was nothing for me yesterday). The disappointing thing was that I had a difficult time finding the shoes I was looking for - black heels. This must be the most basic heel (except for a nude color?), but the selection was minimal because a HUGE part of the womens section was boots. Boots are great and it is December in New England, but they don't work with a suit at work, a wedding, etc. Sure you can order from the website, but you may need to order 5-10 pairs to find just the right one (and then schlep them all back to the store for a return). When I'm looking for sneakers, I usually wind up at DSW. They have a huge selection, a plethora of sizes and quite a few choices in wider widths. Their prices are very competitive. They frequently send coupons and will typically honor expired coupons. Some items are heavily discounted as they run low on that item, or are trying to blow out excess inventory. If you like a sneaker or shoe, but your size isn't in the store, they'll ship it to you for free, and offer a free return if it doesn't fit. Service in this Framingham location has always been good, and the cashiers have been friendly and helpful. The store is typically clean and well organized. read more

I ordered (2) pairs of shoes online for in-store pick up. I was not getting any updates from the website/app, so I used the live chat and got some more info. The shoes had been at the location but hadn't been sorted- hence the lack of status update. An associate Jose took the time to look me up and go back and forth to find out if they were there- and they were. I wouldn't have known that if it wasn't for him because live info is quicker than virtual sometimes. Thank you Jose! I ordered shoes to be delivered to this Framingham/Natick location. I needed these shoes for a wedding but when I arrived there was only one.shoe.in.the.box. The manager was super apologetic and said he would put in the order himself, and rush them so they would arrive by the time I needed them for the wedding. He also gave me a 40% discount. The shoes not only weren't there by the time I needed them but no one could find the tracking for it! No one could even tell me what the status of the shoes were and I had them shipped to their store. Things happen and I understand. I just wish I was refunded initially so I could look at other shoes instead of holding my breath for shoes that would never show. read more

This is a great location. The store is usually very tidy and their clearance section is great. The people that do the stocking and clean up seem to work very hard. Sometimes the line is too long and they don't get enough people on the cash registers but other than that, it's the best place to go when it comes to finding what you're looking for. read more

I am not like some women who can not get enough shoes, I wish I were ... but I do need something to cover my feet so why not get a decent shoe for a good price. This place is great for that! I have a very high arch in one foot and have had to have physical therapy often because of it. My PT has often recommended Danskos and I love them but I do not love the price. Before I go to the regular store to buy one, I will always stop in here to see if they have any and they always do. It is hit or miss but that is ok, it is the hunt for the bargain that is thrilling. I have gotten two Danskos and a Sarita brand at least 1/2 off (or if not more) the regular price. read more

This is a good size location, similar to the Marlboro store. Staff are helpful but not hovering. Prices are typical for this chain so if you have a coupon it is worth your while to come in. Traffic is heavy and you can only go one way on Route 9 getting out of the parking lot. read more

Always always price match your shoes. Chances are you'll find a lower price online. Often times it will even be on the DSW website itself. If the sale area is for ugly shoes, I'm surprised more of the stock hasn't made it's way to those back racks. You can usually find something suitable, but I'd prefer quality over quantity there. If the managers ever read this - I'd love for more size 11 or size 10W sizes. Its easy to breeze through the store looking for the highlighted stickers on big foot boxes (thanks for that at least), but only finding 2 or 3 shoes per section can get disheartening. I know I could order my size online, but if I'm going to order online I have better places (and cheaper places) to look. read more

This place causes palpitations in any shoe addict, let me tell ya, as you walk in and you feel the call of the high heel, platform, peeptoe, ankle strap, wedge, lifestyle sneaker, victorian laceup bootie... Nature is upon you... And if anyone looks at you funny as you torpedo past them with a cartful of shoeboxes: "This is what FALLING OFF THE WAGON LOOKS LIKE!" Yeah. Here's how you play it: the floor is replete with shoes, but the prices are really not that great, and the styles are repetitive. Oftentimes, missing sizes or mismatched sizes in a box. The key here is the clearance racks in the back, so head straight there, and you'll have a pleasant experience falling off the wagon, as I always do. I guess this place isn't the best if you're looking for a nice discount. It is just not that kind of store even though it has that kind of vibe. DSW has a huge amount of casual and dressy shoes. If you're looking for athletics you're best to head over to Dick's or a sporting goods store. But they have everything from dressy shoes for the job to weekend sneaks. The selection for women is a lot larger than for men, probably 50% if the store is for women, 25% for kids, and the last 25% for men. The store is huge however, and I've found that the men's section has everything I need. They have all the name brands, and modern/ hipster shoes as well. If you know what kind of show you are looking for, then DSW will have it. They'll also have your style in several variations and brands. This is a great place to find the casual shoe you weren't looking for, but decide to buy even though you don't need them. Prices aren't too cheap, but the attraction of this store is the variety. I have visited this store now 2x in the past month. I left empty handed both times. There prices are ok, but you can do better at department stores when they go on sale or have a coupon. They have lots of shoes, lots of selection - perhaps too much for my taste. The store is spotless, and it is better organized since its remodel. They had alot of staff around to help and they were very friendly. This is different then before the remodel - change noted and appreciated! Happily they were doing their year end clearance, 80% off. I got a pair of shoes that retail for $90. They would have been about $12 after the discount, but I had another $10 off coupon. This DSW is big, and usually has a fairly nice selection of higher end designers, even on the clearance racks. It's large, they just remodeled it. It has a nice open loft type feeling. I was a little confused as to how to get to the cash registers, but I think I was excited about my shoes. While I was trying on shoes someone walked up to my husband and asked if he needed help. Most places look at him funny. A lot of styles may seem redundant, but when you look through you can always find that one gem. Or in my case about 50 gems. read more

So I typically buy shoes when my current pair either falls apart or an intervention is staged telling me that wearing them is starting to become embarrassing. So this happened again the other week and so began my search for a new pair. While I am picky about shoes I am also cheap and refuse to spend much money on them. So I ended up here the other day and found this store pretty interesting for a couple reasons. First being that it was freaking huge for a shoe store. Aisle after aisle of men's shoes gave me plenty to choose from. Second being that is was ridiculously clean and organized for a place that has warehouse in its name. Lastly, they had built a man alcove in the place. It was filled with flat screened TVs playing sports and large overstuffed leather chairs to relax in. I assume the idea was for boyfriends/husbands to seek refuge here while their women shop away. It was pretty cool and nice touch to try to appease men while shopping. I ended up not buying my new shoes here as I ended up finding them online somewhere else cheaper after I tried them on at this store. read more

Went in to pick up shoes I ordered on line and was directed to the check out line where I waited almost 5 minutes for the one lone cashier to finish - while 2 others stood at the other end of the counter chatting. The shoes were in a cabinet behind the counter with my name and just needed a warm body to take them out. They didn't fit but I did try to buy a small item from the checkout area. Run-of-the-mill DSW Warehouse - lots of shoes for very little money (especially if you hit up the sale rack!) in one convenient spot. This location also has a pretty large section of men's shoes, purses, and accessories, too. One saleswoman was really really chatty with me when I just wanted to be in-and-out. Trying to get her to stop talking to me was a struggle, and a bit off-putting. I just want to buy shoes... I'm not here to make friends! Oh, DSW. Your Shopper's World Store is about 10X as amazing as the Downtown Store, and it's much more convenient. So, I forgot that the "beachy casual" vibe for my best friend's upcoming wedding may not extend to footwear... or lack thereof, to be more accurate. Essentially, I own 11 pairs of flip-flops, 30 pairs of dressy heels, 1 pair of running shoes, and nothing else. I did briefly consider wearing my delightful Old Navy purple flip-flops (they almost match my dress!), but thought maybe I could find something more appropriate at DSW. I went in, stalked the aisles, and found exactly what I had in mind - adorable, low-heeled silver strappy sandals, not too dressy or too casual - for $30. I will wear them again. In fact, I'm tempted to wear them now. I love them. I am very happy. The sales lady was happy for me. It was a good time, all the way around. My family and I went to DSW to pick up some Summer shoes for our daughter. So we were looking around and having her try some shoes on when we were quickly approached by an employee. Keep in mind the store was very slow and that we were 1 of maybe 5 parties at the store. She asked - " what are you guys doing here ?" I was shocked, what type of question is that .... I was about to tell her we were here to have some lunch. I answered we were here to buy some shoes , why else would we be here. And asked her why the questioning - she said I was only greeting you. This seemed very odd to me. I know we were racially targeted and the employee thinks we don't belong or that we had some malicious intent of shoplifting. I was very startled and coudn't think straight after that. She just started to act busy and kept an eye on us even when we were at the register and paying. Y'know that commercial where the women go into the room full of clothes and shoes and start shouting for joy, only to hear all the guys in the adjacent room full of beer doing the same? Well, the first half of that commercial could apply to DSW. In a way, DSW is to many women what Microcenter or Home Depot is to many men, but even a guy like myself can see that this shoe store has some appeal. Sure, the layout is about as exciting as the new Boston Garden, and yes, the men's shoe area seems almost like an afterthought, being far over in the right corner. But the prices are excellent, the quality is generally good, and the selection is about the best you will find. My guess is, if I were a woman, I'd probably add the extra star and give it a perfect score. read more

DSW is my absolute favorite shoe store ever! Whenever I need shoes this is where I go. Not only do I always find shoes here, but they just remodeled the Framingham store and the place looks great! Because there is so many shoes it can be a little overwhelming at times, but the staff is so helpful. Both Kristina and Ana approached me during my last visit and helped me find 2 of my fav pairs of shoes. They also helped me sign up for the rewards program and I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend DSW and I have 2 say Framingham is the best location that I've shopped at! read more
