The staff often consult one another and have another set of eyes and can tell just by squatting down to watch you walk that certain shoes are better than others. While the prices may seem high, the truth is that high quality shoes are just expensive and PR Running is competitively priced with the manufacturer websites. They also almost always have a sale rack where you can sometimes find your size! I have been buying shoes here for over ten years! Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a debilitating nervous system condition that has completely changed how I engage in fitness. Unfortunately, their men's size small dress shirts have shoulders a bit too narrow for me, yet the medium shirts are too big around the neck and sleeve length. They have some great styles, fabrics and quality, but the customer experience is what has gotten me to keep giving them a shot. One downside to the Natick store...since their original focus was footwear, they don't have a proper dressing room.

But for some reason I'm a small in their clothes. Strange, but fine...if they want to target larger men, whatever. Case in point: I saw a jacket on sale a couple of years ago that I loved, but the smalls were sold out. TWO YEARS later they come back in stock and partner buys one for me in medium (because I'm a medium EVERYWHERE else). I call to exchange it today and they're sold out of smalls, again, with no plans to produce more. I'm done trying to find J&M stuff in my VERY AVERAGE size, it's not worth the hassle.
