I…read morewas having a tough day for starters, blew my last red cent on a sudden battery because my old one died out of nowhere. Then upon attempting the install turns out I need a rotating ratchet. I got work the next day, no car battery, no more money to buy a ratchet, and no time to wait; I was livid. Ultimately I gave up, but then got a tip to call AutoZone and ask to borrow the tool and leave collateral for the borrow. So, I call the store and I spoke with James. He tells me to shoot down so I can get the tool. I jog over and start explaining myself to some young guy who intercepted me, why I was there. I knew this young guy was not who I spoke with over the phone, because the man I spoke with was older, I could tell. But, this young man was a total idiot from the start. No patience, no customer service skills, short personality, very rude. I explain that I don't have money after buying the battery, and that I needed to borrow the tool, but he tries to take me over to buy a ratchet anyways (Uhh. Just told you I'm Broke. Hello?) Then when I finally meet the guy who I spoke with on the phone (James), the young employee decides it's proper to announce to the whole store that I "don't wanna buy a ratchet" like sheesh, way to go you damn idiot. Try listening next time, and grow up! Anyways, I'm now talking to James, who is a God-sent. I explain my predicament, and he grabs all the tools needed, and drives me over to my apartment where my car is. That's right, guy gave me a ride back to my car, because he saw I was on foot! Installs my battery for me, and schools me on battery issues, how to manage them, and handed me some life lessons too. Which I was in desperate need of. James did all this off the clock, of his own free will. Literally turned my whole day around! I was awestruck! Many thumbs down to the young idiot who can't listen. Many thanks to James! He plugged in his computer and explained what he was looking for, then brought me along on a test drive, pointing out a couple of sounds I hadn't really noticed. Then when he put the car on the lift, he brought me underneath with him and showed me everything he was looking at. He found that all four brake rotors were rusted (which I got the dealer to fix for free, saving me $700), but gave the car the all clear besides that. Overall, an extremely friendly and useful experience. Here's the kicker, though: because he had made me wait for 20 minutes or so, he insisted that I not pay him anything for the inspection. Wow.

Today was set by a degraded catalytic converter. On other occasions when using Autozone, I have found the parts I need and have always gotten friendly, attentive service.

I knew this guy was pulling my leg since my battery is still practically new, so I went down and picked up my battery. I took it to my usual mechanic and they recharged it for me and come to find out the battery was as good as new and in perfect order. This guy is a complete hack! First when I called and told him what kind of truck I had he kept…read moreasking if I'd sell it... I told him it wasn't for sale... then I leave it with him to have the rockers, bed and undercarriage sprayed. After two weeks I had to demand my truck back, I told him done or not I need my truck... he said I could come get it and he had obviously sprayed everything last minute. There was overspray all over my new flowmaster exhaust system and on my paint job. The truck was smoking from underneath and smelled terrible from all the parts under the truck he failed to tape off, then the work he did on the rockers started pealing away from the truck! He never even sanded or prepped the surface before he sprayed it! I had just got a new paint job and find out the bed liner is pealing off the truck! His shop looks terrible and he doesn't even have a showroom. I called and asked him to fix it and he said he was busy and he might be able to get to it next year! I called corporate and they sent me to tri city lineX and they really had a beautiful showroom and shop and took great care of my truck and redid all the liner on my rockers and it came out amazing
