This is the only place I'll go. Being a single woman I constantly get taken advantage of and the manager is the most honest man around. I had been trying to get my oil changed but due to my car being so new, no places besides dealerships had my oil filter and I didn't want to pay their high prices. The manager ordered not just one but two of my filters (so they have it for my subsequent oil change) immediately (no other places even told me they could do that for me) and gave me a full service oil change the following day with no appointment. He even topped off my washer fluid for free. I've had my car inspection done there. Quickly in and out with no appointment. My air in my tire kept getting low and I just pulled in one day. They immediately took my tire off and checked for a leak. Gas attendants are the friendliest speediest around. read more

Do not fill up your car here. Very inconvenient service . I have lived here in the neighborhood for over 20 years. I've never had a problem with the gas station. But unfortunately that all changed today. I asked the new boy who works at the pump to help me out with $12 regular cash. and I repeated it twice. he put $25 dollars and soon I got out of my car and asked to stop because I had asked $12. And I only had $12 in cash with me. He gave me an attitude like I was the wrong one in the situation and I have been a customer for over 15 years at this gas station. The owner an old Italian came out of the gas station store. I was thinking he would help me with the problem but no he cursed and yelled at me and told me to leave. This was the worst experience I had in my life in terms of car-repair services. I spent a lot of money there, and they did not fix the actual problem of the car. I'll not outline the issues but I had also asked him for a discount on some services, which I didn't take. After picking up the car, I noticed the problem had not been solved. I immediately brought the car back and told them I wasn't happy that they never checked on my initial report of the car issues; actually they were not even aware of it because the employee who roughly greeted me wasn't listening and did not write the issues down. I was, then, verbally attacked by John, the owner, with sentences fulfilled with the "F" word. He justified his actions and prices on this "F-country (US), F-present President (2023), and F-people like me; and that he cannot wait for the former president to take office again so he can go back to be himself." "He said he's been in business for 55 years and only 3 people complained about his business on Yelp." Maybe because mostly women gave him 5-star reviews on yelp? (check them out) Or maybe because people fear him? He ended up yelling at me asking if "[I was] going to be the fourth." I silenced myself as I feared for my life while waiting for the mechanics to check the car again, and he had a not-so-friendly employee in the room while he harassed me. I wonder how/why did all this happen?? After that, the mechanic, who was great, had checked on the car again and told me what the problem actually was; he apologized for the misinformation and said that it would cost me a lot more money to fix it. He mentioned that I could've had this fixed first instead but now I have no choice. I thanked him, told him he could to get a better job somewhere else, and that I will have the job done at one of the thousands of repair shops around me, which I hope will provide a decent experience. I had only used this place for gas once when they "mistakenly" doubled the amount I requested (it's a full serve station). They lost my trust right there. This time my car needed some urgent oil change on that day as I had just been informed I was to travel for work the next day, and this business was the closest to my place. Hence the reason I stopped by and asked them to also check on some noises. Bad decision, for sure. My intent here is that no one goes through this type of experience and for that to happen, business owners MUST take action and provide nothing short of excellence in customer service and customer RESPECT. This review is for the gas only I have never use John's for service but it seems like a reliable place it's been here for at least 20 or 30 years as for the Gas they've just re-done over the pumps and the gas is the cheapest in town which is pretty impressive since it's full-Service. Yes you read that correctly they pump it for you and it's the cheapest in town it's the cheapest by at least $.10-$.20 per gallon. Head on over and save a few bucks if you filling up. read more

Don't go to this place for your car inspection sticker! They'll rip you off. They told me that I needed exhaust repair when I had recently replaced my exhaust! And they told me that I needed to replace the registration plate light bulb for $20, I agreed 'cause I just wanted to get over the inspection process and get out of there. However, when I got back home and checked the light bulb, they didn't replace it, it was still burnt out! This place used to be good until two years ago when they hired new employees to do the inspection. Avoid this place! read more

I knew I was in trouble when I heard my brakes making that awful grinding noise. With days til Christmas I was worried I wasn't going to be able to get my car fixed in time for traveling. I called Monday morning around 10 AM asking if I I had to make an appointment to which I was told "come on down well take a look at it no worries" (John the owner) I headed over about a half hour later. They took about 5 minutes to get my car in the bay, explained the issue, even SHOWED me the issue and got it fixed all within the hour! I was so happy and very impressed with how efficient and kind they were. I even got to talk a bit with the owner John who told me that it was a family run business and they have repeat customers all the time. (Not surprised!) I can't believe John only has 3 reviews... this place is a gem! Super-professional and incredibly service-oriented and they still have reasonable prices. I just happened to come here because I ended up with a problem during my commute to work. Low oil light came on (I was overdue for an oil change) and my hood was stuck. I didn't know what to do, so I pulled into John's. Not only did he get the hood unstuck right away, when I explained that I needed an oil change, he agreed to do it right then and there. I mean he got started on it immediately, and I was barely 5 minutes late to work. I felt like I was getting VIP service and I was just a walk-in. But the waiting room was full, so I'm guessing he has a loyal clientele they just aren't Yelpers. read more

I only go here for an inspection sticker, but they've always done right by me. They're quick, and it is a local "Mom & Pop"-type shop.

I brought my Jeep to John's to have the Spark Plugs and wires changed because it was running like S**t and I was told by the dealership that that's what I needed. John's got me right in and immediately gave me a quote. Got a call later telling me that some of the work wasn't necessary and saved me $150. Not to mention that they did the work for 40% less than what the dealership quoted me. The Jeep is running better then when I first bought it. Honest, trustworthy business that I highly recommend.
