Had an alignment done, excellent job and excellent service. One look at the shop and the guys working there tells me this will now be my go to place. Clean, professional, and looked like a lot of experience in there. read more

Went to Auto Dyne for the first time and it won't be the last! They are very professional and kind. They diagnosed my engine light issue and advised me to seek out FNA who deals with internal transmission issues. From here on, I will be bringing my car to Auto Dyne for future oil changes, wheel alignments, brakes, Etc. I'm impressed! read more

Car wouldn't start, absolutely dead, new battery, charging system issue. Sent to auto dyne, told me it was the starter, I mentioned the alternator but they said it wasn't. Got 44 miles out of an $1150.00 repair, car had same problem happen again, took to a different garage, it was the alternator like I had said. Handed auto dyne a o2 sensor that I provided, asked them to just install it. Charged $109 just to screw it in, stating it took 45 or so minutes to do. Been there 3 times and come out of there with new issues I did not have prior to the visit. They diagnosed approx 8 high cost repairs needing to be done that dont actually need repairing, but im not naive, just too old to do the work myself these days. Just know that they charge $150.00 AN HOUR FOR LABOR, AND THE PARTS ARE MARKED UP MORE THAN 200%. I will no longer use auto dyne and do not recommend them, be alert to these garage tactics. read more

easy, quick and friendly service. took me right away and had me out of there in under an hour. Will be back for any future needs!

I've been going there since 2013. Chris, Luca and Ryan are always capable, friendly, good communicators, quick to get us in, reasonable in price. Above all, trustworthy. They stick to their estimates. Plus, they helped us dodge a bullet. We had Ryan check out a potential used car. He discovered that its undercarriage rust was concealed by truck-bed paint. He approved a second one and we're very happy with it. It's an honorable business and I feel in good hands with them. read more

Fabulous service, they could not have been any more accommodating and fixed it quick. Chris was so nice and explained everything that needed to be done. I'll never go anywhere else going forward. read more

I am from out of town and I found Auto Dyne on Yelp. Nothing but true professionalism from start to finish. They serviced my car exactly like they stated, and nothing more. Tiptop service and I am very happy with the price I paid. I felt there price was fair and better that what I would pay for comparable work done at the dealer. Now I have a place to bring my car when I visit the North Shore again. Thank you again, Lucas, Chris and Tallia read more

I apologize for being rude to the lady on the phone. Super unacceptable. It's your business where you park your truck not mine. I didn't know anyone saw me flip off your place of business. I saw front was empty so I seriously didnt think anyone saw but I apologize nonetheless. You had my Saturn VUE in there with texas plates awhile back trying get it to pass inspection and you were super cool about everything even stored it free of charge and inspected my other car also. Please forgive a brother. thanks! read more

I often have a lot of car problems and aren't too familiar with how things work, the people here are great to work with! Very responsive (phone calls especially) , super patient if you dont know a lot of car knowledge. I feel sure about going there. read more

This coverage is a scam. I had a power steering pump under warranty, and they didn't cover a penny for the parts or the rental vehicle. If I could hand out zero stars, I would. read more

This place is so quick and convenient. I came in to have my tire changed, I called earlier that day they told me a time to come in and I was out 30 min later. There is also amazing restaurants in the area to go to while you wait. read more

I only hesitate to give Auto-Dyne five stars because I'm afraid it will become more popular. This is the best place I've ever had service done on my car. You can get an appointment in reasonable time, worth a lot of stars alone. They are honest and professional. They have saved my (bacon) a few times and fixed any number of problems I've had with various cars over the years. They know what they are doing, live up to their promises and take their deadlines seriously, and do it for a very reasonable price. Super people--friendly, smart, and knowledgeable--just make it so having to have your car fixed is less painful. When I think of a good company I've done business with, Auto-Dyne is at or near the top of the list. read more

Great service, great prices, and great mechanics make this a truly outstanding operation. I have brought two cars here with various problems (the cars were made in 1992 and 1995, so you can understand the problems that might occur). Each time, the shop was accurate in their estimate and very concerned with my understanding the true nature of the problem. The best part of this car repair place is that they have a very, very friendly early to mid-20's female working the reception/cashier desk. This helps make the shop very approachable and she really knows what she's talking about! The oil changes are relatively cheap, too! I got an oil change there (with a 30-point inspection and fluid top-offs) for $30. That's a pretty good deal, I'd say! read more

Great service. I have three older family vehicles, and they are doing fine. Autodyne is also a Tire Rack installer, which is really convenient. read more

I have been taking my 2006 Honda Civic to them since 2008 or '09. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else, I'm that happy with these guys. They are always honest, friendly, and fast. Rob even gives me a lift to work after I drop my car off. It's a full service garage, In addition to auto repair, I go to them for inspection stickers, new tires. You can't get it any better, they will not let you down. read more

My wife has been coming here for about a year and has always had a good experience. She recently had to bring her car in for a problem with the front end. These guys determined that the subframe was completely rotted out and then checked online to find that there was a factory recall for this problem. They then called the Suzuki dealer in Lowell and arranged to have them do the fix under warranty. Auto-Dyne charged us ZERO for this initial work. They're honest, fast, and thorough, and they do a great job of explaining the work they need to do. If they can't fix something, or feel that a fix can be postponed, they'll tell you. read more

The only place I take my car, even having moved away from Beverly. Fast, high-quality work, and they work WITH you - no high-pressure push when the budget is tight. Never had a problem, never spoken to anyone there who was less than polite and professional. read more

Got my front wheel bearings replaced. Quick service (~4 hours), decent price (~$250), and local. The guys inside were friendly. The shop was very small and kind of grimey. Anyway, the new bearings that I had put in became loose and needed to be repacked 4 months later. Conveniently past the 90 day work warrantee. Obviously they're not the best. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

This is the only place that is allowed to work on my cars. They are honest, fix it on time and have good hours. The manager, Rob is a really nice guy and explains what the problem is and how to resolve it. Never had a bad experience is the years and years of coming here read more

Autodyne is a truly stellar auto service center. The staff is professional, polite, and thorough, and I've never received repairs or service that were anything less than ideal on two separate vehicles. They make owning a car (almost) stress-free; take it to Rob and his team and you won't be disappointed. read more

I have visited Auto-Dyne two times in the last 4 months; once for my brakes and once for inspection. Both times they took me without an appointment and were very professional. When my brakes weren't working I was expecting to pay a hefty sum, and I am sure that they could see it on my face (no one I know would ever call me an actress). Instead, I got out of there for only $100. They were fast, and seemed very honest. read more

We've been customers at Auto-dyne for over 25 years. They've single-handedly changed my conviction that auto-repair shops are always out to fleece the customer. I've had many instances where they've clearly outlined several courses of action, and they've never tried to pressure me to do more work than necessary. They finish work on time and with careful attention to detail. They're courteous, sympathetic, and honest. It doesn't get better than that. read more

An Auto-dyne guy came to my house with a tow truck last winter when I called AAA because my car wouldn't start. He got it started in my driveway when he probably could have towed it and fooled me into buying expensive repairs. Recently I went back with some broken metal brake lines and the guy behind the counter told me exactly the products they use and when it could be done and the process they usually used. Then he called me on the day they fixed it beforehand to tell me how much it would cost before they repaired it. There were no surprises when I went to pay my bill which was nice. read more

I can't speak for major repairs as I just had a wheel re-balanced here - however I appreciated the friendliness and customer service of the guys there. While it was just a wheel balance the price was more than fair and they actually were familiar with my car and its alloy wheels...as an information junkie I appreciated the additional details from them. Would return for another visit. read more

I never thought I could love a car repair shop. But I do. After terrible experiences at Ira Subaru (shiver.), I took my car to Auto Dyne. Great service and good prices, it's the first car repair shop I haven't walked away from feeling either talked down to (ah, dumb woman talking cars...) or completely ripped off. I bring my car there for everything from state inspections to heavy duty car repair. I highly recommend. read more

I have been taking my car here for routine service for a few years. When the wheels and tires were stolen off my car, no one would help and I couldn't move the car as it was sitting right on the ground. I called Auto-Dyne and they said yes, we can help! They mounted the new tires on to the new wheels the sent a truck out to jack the car up, install the wheels and drive it back to the shop to check for damage. They made a customer for life! Thanks again. read more

I brought in my car to auto-dyne when I had a problem with my rear differential. I would never consider using them again for the following reasons: 1. Warranties - (a) I asked the owner when I brought in my car how long is the warranty for services. He looked very uncomfortable and said one year. However, when I picked up my car the paper that he made me sign in to order to retrieve my car stated the services warranty is for only 4 months.(b) Regarding the warranty on parts, he obtains used parts. I asked him how long the warranty is for the part. He told me that his supplier will not put any part warranty in writing, I said, ok, just tell me verbally instead how long the warranty period is for. He refused to answer. He told me that the part had only 5000 miles on it but when I saw it installed on my car, it was all rusted. I asked him if he was sure it only had 5000 miles on it and he again refused to answer and walked away. 2. After waiting nearly a week for my car to be repaired, I began driving it and in only 20 minutes I again received a "check system:" light again. I took it back immediately to auto-dyne and they were unable to fix the problem. 3. When I picked up my car it was obviously that they had either drained or disconnected the battery----something that they did not mention to me at all when picking up the car. Also, for a rear differential issue, you would never disconnect the battery. Certain settings, including the child safety window locks in back (I have a special needs toddler who rides in the back seat), were disabled since for some reason auto-dyne cut the power from the battery to the car. 4. My radio/CD player no longer works since picking it up from auto-dyne. They told me that this is an anti theft device (if the radio is removed form the car and therefore loses power, the thief cannot use this radio.) I checked with 2 different Lexus car dealers the next day, They both confirmed to me that this anti theft mechanism did not exist in my 2007 model. I now need to have my radio repaired as well. I have never walked out of a car repair shop in my life where I left with more problems than I came in with. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We thought they were wonderful for such a long time and then looked back over their service record (3 yrs, 2 cars) and decided that there was some cutting of corners going on. The manager was so nice each time we had a problem AFTER they worked on our cars, explaining what happened, chastising his staff for shoddy work. I'm not talking insignificant problems here. A replaced clutch and pedal resulted in a breakdown in the tunnel under Boston because his staff had clumsily wired the pedal to something which resulted in the pedal sticking to the floor. I had my baby in the car and the situation was dangerous as it occurred during rush hour. Got new brakes from them on a different car. Two weeks later, the brakes failed as I was flying off of 128 at 40mph. Thank G I didn't crash and was able to use the emergency brake to stop the car. The cause was explained to me matter of factly by the manager and was again due to a sloppy job by a staff person. The little things bothered us too like the time we brought the car in for a tune up, got it back, and one of the hubcaps fell off. We took a look at it and it had obviously been broken off and then put back on in the hopes it would stay put for a bit and we wouldn't notice. If you're going to get any serious safety work done on your car here, I would highly recommend you have a 2nd garage evaluate the work once it is done. I don't know where the problem lies, probably in management, but I don't think their safety standards are up to par. read more

The crew at Auto-Dyne are top notch and have always done right by me. I'm a big diy self person and they've been gracious enough to check behind some of my work when I couldn't quite figure something. All in all a great business with a solid sense of their place in the community. read more

They do have good service here, that I must admit. I do not know how knowledgeable they are as I already knew exactly what was wrong with my car and told them what to fix when I went. My alternator had died the night before and I needed a new one on very quickly. I took it here as I had just moved and didn't have any of my tools with me to fix this myself, and looking back I probably could have saved a lot of money by taking a taxi to the mall, buying a tool set, jack and stands and a new alternator and going back home to fix the car myself. I was charged almost 500 dollars for a new alternator. I know, I know, labor is expensive in MA, however, I know for a fact that I (a normal do-it-yourselfer) can change out my alternator in an hour and a half, Auto Dyne (professionals) charged me 3 hours labor at 80 dollars an hour. Needless to say, I was quite broke for a long time afterwards. They did get the job done right and their service was great, but it was way over priced. read more
