I dropped off my wheels on Tuesday for mounting and balancing and was told they'd be ready the next day. I even took a PTO day to put the motorcycle back together based on that timeline. On Wednesday at 1:30pm, I had to call myself and was told they weren't doing them due to "inventory issues"--something that was never communicated when I dropped them off. I finally got a call Thursday saying they were ready, but due to the commute without a motorcycle I couldn't make it before closing. When I picked them up Saturday, only the front tire had been balanced. When I asked why, I was told to speak to the manager, who claimed the rear "didn't need weights"--even though the old weights (covered in brake dust) were still on the wheel. After pushing back, they rechecked it and suddenly the wheel needed new weights. That alone is concerning, but it didn't stop there. When I got home, neither tire was set anywhere near the correct PSI. Overall, this was a frustrating experience: poor communication, incomplete work, and questionable quality control. I've bought multiple tires from this shop over the years and ride about 19,000 miles annually, but the service and quality have clearly gone downhill. I wouldn't recommend them based on this experience. read more

Customer service is great I had a flat tire so I brought the new tire to be replace, it took 24 hours to replace one tire, I don't mind if speed is not one of your strengths, it's fine but let me know, I need the motorcycle for commute, I was stressing knowing that the tire was not ready and the only reason the tire didn't take a few days is because I was pushing I always buy at cycle gear and revzilla because it is close and convenient but that was the last time, I prefer to spend more money for a normal service so no more cycle gear or revzilla for me read more

Before I start this review I understand I should have found a different motorcycle shop to give business to since this is the second time I received horrible service. Brought these two wheels and tires to be mounted and balanced. I dropped off these two tires for mount and balance. "SIMPLE" they took 2 full days to get these does. According to them they were busy. To top of it after waiting days to have them done the charge was not $30 dollars a pop. My bill was almost $140.00. Supposedly they made a mistake and it's $30.00 if I bought the tires from them. I had no proof that they said $30.00. The actual charge is $60 per wheel if the tires are not purchased at there store. Crazy double the amount lol. No wonder the all the department stores are closing now. These companies are digging their own grave. (((DID I GET ROBBED ? OR AM I OVER THINKING THIS)) also the front wheel was never balance as you can clearly see it doesn't have a single weight and it did before lol. UPDATE: As stated in previous review, one of the primary reasons Cycle Gear is my go to shop is the service. Cycle Gear support and service has always been excellent and a notch above the rest. I recieved a follow-up from Customer Service regarding the issue with this helmet and was issued a replacement RMA. Given I liked the ease of putting on the helmet without having to fumble and remove my glasses, the helmet fit well and was comfortable, has a nice wide field of vision and a surprising light weight for a Modular helmet, I ordered the same model. Original Review: Purchased a Nolan N100-5 Plus Helmet based on the reviews and features and purchased from Cycle Gear due to the price, but more importantly, the great service I have received over the years. Picked up the helmet at the store and at first glance what an awesome helmet at a great price. Comfortable fit, great look and solid build with nice features. Took the helmet out for a 20 mile ride and discovered that the right side of the helmet has an absurd amount of wind noise while the left side is great. I do expect some wind noise as this typical of Modular helmets, I own two other manufactures and they do experience some noise, but this is so bad that my right ear was hurting like crazy before the end of the ride. Note I was also wearing ear plugs which do a great job of reducing the noise matter of fact, the left ear was almost too quiet. There is an obvious problem with this specific helmet so I contacted Cycle Gear and was informed that they could not exchange or take the helmet back because I wore it and they recommended that I sell it on Facebook market place to try and get my money back. Over the years I have always been impressed with Cycle Gears customer service. They have always stood behind the products they sell and services offered. I now have an awesome looking helmet that is taking up space in the garage because I am unable to wear due to what I would call a defect in the helmet read more

We has to fix a tire Mounting and balancing a front motorcycle tire and than a tank of gas after the service. Great service except they didn't do it in two hours and nothing was worked on so that was that. We went home and converted the wheel to a tub less rim strip kit online from Japan direct only place it's sold on the whole planet. We returned after grinding the spoke nipples flat same as a bike shop but way more advanced. I love the ladies boots for sale and hope to be riding soon read more

I bought my daughter a chest protector for her birthday last week at cycle gear in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh they were very nice and very helpful I even purchased a new chain and a tube from them. The chest protector I bought had blemishes on it and it did not fit correctly so I decided to take it back to cycle gear The problem is I went to Cycle Gear in Pacheco for the return because my daughter has gymnastics practice down the street. Here is my experience and why you shouldn't come to cycle gear in Pacheco. I went in there with a receipt only one week old and the gentleman at the counter was like we can't return this with these blemishes. I was like look at the receipt that's how it was sold to me, it has tags on it still never has been worn just tried it on. The buckles were never even adjusted. I said look at the receipt it was discounted 10% because of the blemishes he was like I see that but I'm going to call Pittsburgh I was like OK go ahead, but I have the receipt here so either way go ahead I have time entertain me. He called Pittsburgh and they confirmed it that they sold it with blemishes, so then he returned it. Either way it was only a week old with tags on it still, never ever been worn. After my bad experience that no one should experience I decided not to buy the boots from cycle gear in Pacheco. I'm taking my business back to cycle gear in Pittsburgh I know I might seem ridiculous that I'm going to bring my business back to cycle gear, but I like cycle gear not all cycle gear stores are bad just a Pacheco one. These guys were lifesavers. So not only does the store have a good selection, but they also had tires on sale when my buddy's bike started showing wire during our loop of California road trip. Snagged a tire from them but couldn't find anyone to take the wheel off the bike (go figure HD right next store wouldn't touch anything that's not a Harley *rolleyes*) so we scrambled together some tools from our luggage and cyclegear lent us a used bike stand they had hiding in the back. How can you write a bad review for a motorcycle place? Well you would think it would be hard but cycle gear comes through on me leaving a negative review. I've been a long time customer of this store and go back to the days when they were located on Monument Blvd in concord. The way the store is ram is horrible. I walked up to the door and it was like I was walking into a hot topic. Employees out from vaping. The help is horrible once you get inside. Might as well look up the part and order it myself. The only reason I went in was to get a tire mounted and they failed at that. I wished cycle gear was owned by the employees as it once was, because what I experienced was horrible. Update the district manager got ahold of me and apologized, which I can appreciate and went the extra mile to make me a believer that they really do care about their customers. It's unfortunate that they currently don't have a manger, which is most likely that poor experience I had. I wish then luck in finding that right person. read more

Cycle Gear has almost everything a motorcycle enthusiast needs, including sound advice! If they do not have something in stock they will order it for you and get it in a jiffy. They constantly have sales and once a year they have a HUGE parking lot sale with returns, discontinued and slightly damaged items. Everything is marked down up to 90%, but it is also thrown into boxes and scattered everywhere, it kinda like a rummage sale. The employees really know their stuff and the store keeps a record of purchases in case, like me, your not sure which part you are suposed to be buying for someone in your family. The staff was very welcoming, took as much time as needed to make sure I understood all my options, had a financing program for their high end stuff which I gladly utilized, which was surprising because I just did a bankruptcy and this still let me make payments. I had to leave this review because it restored my faith in Cycle Gear. I had a frustrating time with another Cycle Gear in the area and when I came to Pacheco, all hope restored. I won't go into the details of what went wrong at another location, but I wanted to leave a shout out for the team in Pacheco. After not being able to return a pair of gloves to another location on a couple attempts and with no results, I went to my home store for help. What a great team! They even just filled the Store Manager position, and this team is just getting started with excitement. Hannah, Neko and Mario was so great in solving my issue. They did everything by the book to help me solve my problem. Customer service by the book. They listened, paid close attention to what was happening and solved it right there. No questions asked. All they wanted was to make me happy and they did, even knowing that returns do hurt the stores bottom line, they still felt it was important to help resolve this issue. Coming from managing a store myself for years, they absolutely hit it out of the park. They just put the salesperson aside for those few minutes and saved a customer from never stepping back into a Cycle Gear again. I know that I'm just one customer and I'm just a tiny drop in the bucket, but I hope and will spread the word for this location. I will continue to shop and choose Pacheco first before I go to another competitor. Again, thank you Hannah for making the return happen and to Neko and Mario for helping me get to that point. Tried to order in a new pair of tires (said they were low in stock), I was talking with Willy and I gave him the model and year of my bike and said he couldn't tell me anything like wtf lol. Instead he tried to rush me off the phone because I couldn't tell him what exact tire was on the bike. Aren't you supposed to help the customer by looking up what I need? I called a nearby competitor and they gave me an entire list of tires that they recommend for my bike model right away. Complete joke of customer service read more

The staff here is kinda hit and miss, and I've been here a couple times. But today I had a great experience. At the time I was looking to get into a new helmet. I was thinking about upgrading from my AGV K3 to a couple other options. I was talking to Ryan, and he was super patient with me as well as a experienced rider, as most of the staff are riders themselves. I was looking into a Shoei RF-1400 and they let me walk around and really feel the helmet. They also took care and let me know if other options, as well as what would also fit better. They didn't try to up sell me and understood that I had a budget in mind as well as comfort. I think I might have tried on 5 different helmets, and I am feeling even more confident to choose my next helmet. Not only that but they don't push you to just buy there they also have options of purchases online. One of the main reasons I shop here for my gear is because you can purchase gear online if they don't have it in stock try it on and return it in store if it doesn't fit right. No fuss no muss. Ryan also let helped me understand many of the other functions of the different kind of functions and visor changes if different helmets. They also helped me understand changing out cheek pads. Last point they also have a great military discount. Always helping out with those higher prices. read more

This review is long overdue. I'm a regular customer at Cycle Gear. I get everything from brake pads to gloves to helmets (they've changed my tires, too). I've never had a bad experience here. I often come in when Avissa is working. She's fantastic! Her customer service skills are amazing. Avissa is so warm and friendly. She always has great info about what I need and never seems too busy to offer advice or helpful tips. Recently, I was in Cycle Gear when a crazy customer was screaming at Avissa (this store does seem to get some crazies from time to time, I've noticed). I've never seen anyone berate an employee like that--ever. I felt so badly for Avissa, who I've had help me at the store for years. The incident reminded me to write her, and Cycle Gear, a glowing review on Yelp. My hope is that this will balance out the irate insane guy and it'll help encourage others to visit this store. I worked in customer service for years, and I'm a pretty tough critic, but the staff at Cycle Gear is knowledgeable and friendly--especially Avissa. Yay, Cycle Gear! I went in last week to get some off-road gear. I was greeted right away. The store is easily navigated with several options available. I got what I needed which happened to be on sale & I ended up spend about half of what I anticipated. I was in and out within 15 minutes which made it nice since I was on my lunch break. This is really a review for the service at this Cycle Gear location. Every time I've come in either by myself or with my husband all the staff has been really helpful (without bugging us) and knowledgable. Shoutout to Dave who really took care of my husband when he brought in his broken tank bag, which the hubby bought a million years ago when Cycle Gear still had lifetime warranties on tons of stuff (spoiler alert: the don't offer them anymore). Depending on what you're looking for inventory can be good (lots of gloves, helmets, and men's clothing). Worth checking out if you're in the area! read more

They are always telling you what to think, their prices are through the roof and if something is priced incorrectly or they misquote you on the telephone, too bad, it's your problem. When I got my bike over a year ago I was a little intimidated going in there for the first time, , not knowing much about bikes - but within about 10 minutes I felt like a long time customer. When I walk in most of them know me by name, and I'm never afraid to ask my stupid questions (at least they never make me feel like they are stupid!) Sure this is a smaller store, but I have always been able to get what I wanted, in the right color/size within 1 to 2 days! I recently bought a new helmet and didn't get a chance to try it out within their 7 day return policy due to bad weather, and I wasn't sure I'd like it. I was told to try it for a few days and if I didn't like it - not to worry about the 7 days having already passed - that they would take care of me. I really like the helmet but it was nice to know that I wasn't going to get stuck with a helmet I didn't like. As a matter of fact - I'm headed there now to exchange a face shield for that helmet - I got the wrong one. I have no clue where the receipt is - but I don't need it - they'll just look it up in their computer and I'm good! read more
