With my second set the tires I wanted were discontinuted. They notified me pretty early in the process and I was able to keep my original appointment time. The substitute were a bit more expensive but they extended a rebate to me to help offset the cost. I actually recommend these guys to anybody who needs a tire shop. They'll take care of you. ​

Drove down an hour to their location for a rotation and they refused to rotate the tires because the front tires had too much wear on the inside for their liking. That's literally the point of rotating your tires to try to maximize their life and get them to wear more evenly. The tires were well under the 70,000 mile mark and that was dismissed too as being "mechanical wear" so it wasn't covered. Duh. All tire wear is mechanical. So no tire rotation and no warranty coverage. I've bought several sets of tires here and always had a good experience until I actually needed some service, then I just got a smiley refusal. Done with Discount Tire. Might as well just buy the cheapest price from any installer if there's no service after the sale.

He noticed that one with more Cold Cranking Amps was listed at a lower price than the other. Calling the installer over, he found out that the cheaper battery was also larger, and didn't fit in all models. He went out to my car and confirmed that it would fit. As he started the installation, we joked about how it was 70 and sunny and we're concerned about CCA. (gotta love Wisconsin) There was an issue with the terminal being badly corroded, and Jose, the installer, didn't want to risk cracking it. I also did not want to risk getting stuck, so I said I would get help and possibly look at changing the terminal too. When my car wouldn't start on the existing battery, he came back out, and assisted with changing the terminal. (fortunately, it was a bolted connection, and did not require cutting the wires off. The staff here went way above and beyond for what turned out not to be a simple replacement. I understand the original hesitation to risk making a situation worse, and I deeply appreciate the willingness to try it anyway, when it became obvious that the car really needed to get that new battery and connection in. He also gave me a heads up on the shaking that might occur in the car when removing a power source, and the computer goes through a re-learning of the systems. It did happen for a while, and I didn't panic because of the understanding of what happens. I have a relative who is a mechanic, and is usually my first stop. Advanced is certainly my new stop for parts and for those occasions that I need outside assistance.

Found my tires on line, had them installed by rev and while he had the tires and rims off, I asked for him to check the brakes, the fronts were fine but the back needed to be replaced. Rev order and replaced the the brakes and he also said that the axle was worn and he replaced it. Once he gave me the price for the whole job it was still cheaper than the dealer, so I also asked him if he could put on a throttle lock, he found one online installed it and everything works great. Rev never found anything to try to upcharge me on like the fluid in my blinkers needed to be changed and he was very honest. I recommend going there if you want a honest mechanic.

After I left my mom's house, I heard a clicking sound. Windows were down and radio was off, which…read moremade this possible. Past experience has taught me that the sound is from a nail in my tire or a rock stuck in the tread of a tire. I pulled over and found a large sheet metal screw in the driver's side front tire. I added the maintenance package to my tires when I bought them because I knew my 4+ years of no tire issues was bound to end, except I couldn't get through when I called, and they were about a 25 minute drive away via the highway, which wouldn't be the smartest move to attempt. Pulled up local tire shops and Waheed's was the nearest with a 4 1/2 star rating on Yelp. Called them up, explained my situation, and they said come right over. I pulled up, told the gentleman which tire had the screw in it, he guided me toward backing up and forward and turning wheels until he saw it. Then he grabbed his tools and a plug, removed the screw and plugged the hole without me even leaving my car! I heard a little air escape for a few seconds between removing the screw, prepping the hole, and plugging it, but the tire pressure light didn't come on, so he assured me I was good to go. No issues at all since the repair. I'll call my tire store anyway to follow up, but Waheed's showed me why they are highly rated, and I highly recommend them. Inexpensive and very fast repair (less than 10 minutes), great service (I tipped the guy who made the repair), and one very happy customer (me).

Last night I bought a starter relay because my daughters car wouldn't start. The box they sold it to me in was kinda krinkled up (which I thought was odd), but the part was new and looked good. So I bought it. My daughter ended up being able to start her car a few minutes later (probably a loose wire or something). So I didn't need the relay. Didn't install it. Didn't do anything. It was still brand new in box. Tried to return it to the store (this was 20 MINUTES after buying it), and the guy said that it had been installed or looked used. So he would not take it back. Again, this was 20 MINUTES after I bought it. No oil, no grime, no scrapes, no dents, not even a scratch on it...because it didn't leave the box that I bought it in. I felt insulted and felt like I was being called a liar...as if I were trying to con them or something. Felt humiliated. All this over an overpriced $30 relay that I could find from any online vendor for $10-15. They destroyed our relationship and my confidence in ever buying from them again. After all these years and all the purchases that I made, I never want to go back. I will drive the extra five miles to Oreilly or just buy online at Rockauto or something. So just beware if you buy anything that you might even remotely ever need to return to the store. Don't expect them to kindly give your money back. They pulled this on me 20 MINUTES after purchase with a NEW IN BOX part and a VALID RECEIPT in hand. I would go so far as to say that you better triple-check the part before you even leave the store and make darn sure that it is the right part and that you will never need to return it, because they might pull this on you.

I was literally waiting in line with the fluid in hand to pay and he was just next to me giving me my own personal countdown. And a few times I have asked to either borrow or have someone help me with the scan tool and again he's been a dick about it. One time he wouldn't even let his employee help me because they had been been there the night before to have my car scanned. And most of the people working there also treat you like your radioactive. They get annoyed if you ask for help finding parts, they are constantly on their phones or they just plain don't know anything about cars. To me that's an indication of bad management. It starts from te top up, managers set the tone for their staff and stores. If I could give less than a 1 star rating I would.
