Past experience has taught me that the sound is from a nail in my tire or a rock stuck in the tread of a tire. I pulled over and found a large sheet metal screw in the driver's side front tire. I added the maintenance package to my tires when I bought them because I knew my 4+ years of no tire issues was bound to end, except I couldn't get through when I called, and they were about a 25 minute drive away via the highway, which wouldn't be the smartest move to attempt. Pulled up local tire shops and Waheed's was the nearest with a 4 1/2 star rating on Yelp. Called them up, explained my situation, and they said come right over. I pulled up, told the gentleman which tire had the screw in it, he guided me toward backing up and forward and turning wheels until he saw it. Then he grabbed his tools and a plug, removed the screw and plugged the hole without me even leaving my car! I heard a little air escape for a few seconds between removing the screw, prepping the hole, and plugging it, but the tire pressure light didn't come on, so he assured me I was good to go. No issues at all since the repair. I'll call my tire store anyway to follow up, but Waheed's showed me why they are highly rated, and I highly recommend them. Inexpensive and very fast repair (less than 10 minutes), great service (I tipped the guy who made the repair), and one very happy customer (me).

Talk about crap customer service. That's when we found family run A&A Tire, a few miles away. They were also booked all day but they actually understand customers who are in need and stranded. A&A told us to have the dealer inflate the tire and drive right over. They sent a mechanic to a tire distributor just in case the tire was ruined. They fit us in, replaced the tire, and actually charged 100.00 less for the tire than the Mercedes dealer told us the new tire would cost. Great shop, extremely nice people.

Got out the car and didn't see a flat and my tire pressure light was not on. This flapping sound became a little louder the closer I got to her drop off point and now I'm nervous. Checked again no flat so after I dropped my passenger off I went to my job blocks away to grab my laptop and contact someone for a ride as I still don't see what's going on. I called my friend about it and she advised to contact Luckey's because she was told from a friend of hers they are super reasonable and to have them inspect the issue. I called them to explain the issue they informed me that they can take a look in the morning as they are closing in 45 minutes. I safely got my car up there and they gave me a call the very next morning around 8:15 and informed me they were able to locate the issue right away. I had a long bolt of some sort in the tire and the sound I was hearing was this little bugger rubbing against the tire well. They were able to get the tired replaced with a new and got my car that same day! Not only was Kurt and Bryan professional and kind, they were able to save me a little money with my issue. I had them look it over before purchasing this Toyota Rav4 and they assured me it was as great car. Within months several things went wrong with the car that racked up thousands of dollars in repairs, way beyond the original cost of the vehicle. These were things that a mechanic should be able to see and predict, like the transmission completely giving out. Within a year I had put $12,000 into repairs on this car that they had originally assured me would be a great purchase. It was the transmission that really soured my entire experience with Ruby Isle. They sent it somewhere to have a rebuilt transmission put in, which took at least 6 weeks. It cost over $6,000, but came with a warranty, a warranty we were still under. A few months after the transmission replacement, my daughter drove the car to California to take a temp job for 6 months. A week before she was to drive it back home, the replaced transmission gave out. Her lease was up, she had to leave and was forced to buy another car to get home. I had called John at Ruby Isle as soon as this happened and he wanted me to bring the car in. I could not bring the car in as it was now dead on the ground in California. He said I should have given them more notice, even though I had called and not heard back from him for a number of days and there was no way to give more notice. This is how things happen - she's in CA and out of her apartment in days with no where to go and she can't get home. John said he would contact the transmission place they had used to see if there was somewhere she could take the car out in CA, but he never got back to me in time (said the transmission people hadn't gotten back to him in time), so that car is now a complete loss and I never got a cent back from the warranty on that transmission. I also never heard back from John again, despite his promise that he would look into the warranty with the transmission people. He completely ghosted me, haven't heard from him in months now. I suppose he figures it's over and done, but I lost over $12,000 on that car in less than 18 months after his assurance that this was a good purchase for my daughter. My confidence in Ruby Isle is shattered and I can never go back there. I will never trust their expertise, and I was completely taken for thousands of dollars, over $12,000, in the end.
