After I left my mom's house, I heard a clicking sound. Windows were down and radio was off, which…read moremade this possible. Past experience has taught me that the sound is from a nail in my tire or a rock stuck in the tread of a tire. I pulled over and found a large sheet metal screw in the driver's side front tire. I added the maintenance package to my tires when I bought them because I knew my 4+ years of no tire issues was bound to end, except I couldn't get through when I called, and they were about a 25 minute drive away via the highway, which wouldn't be the smartest move to attempt. Pulled up local tire shops and Waheed's was the nearest with a 4 1/2 star rating on Yelp. Called them up, explained my situation, and they said come right over. I pulled up, told the gentleman which tire had the screw in it, he guided me toward backing up and forward and turning wheels until he saw it. Then he grabbed his tools and a plug, removed the screw and plugged the hole without me even leaving my car! I heard a little air escape for a few seconds between removing the screw, prepping the hole, and plugging it, but the tire pressure light didn't come on, so he assured me I was good to go. No issues at all since the repair. I'll call my tire store anyway to follow up, but Waheed's showed me why they are highly rated, and I highly recommend them. Inexpensive and very fast repair (less than 10 minutes), great service (I tipped the guy who made the repair), and one very happy customer (me).

Was told it would take 2 hrs (OK) -- I dropped car off and went for a walk in Menards -- went back after 1 hour -- and the tire leak was repaired at very reasonable price. No big deal...the person I spoke to was knowledgable enough on the subject, and easier to understand than many foreign customer service reps. I was specifically asked if I would be dropping off my car or waiting while the work was performed. I said waiting, because it should be a quick job. I arrived a few minutes early today only to be told by an employee (who I think was the manager on duty) that they were only taking drop-offs because the wait would be at least 2.5 hours. I thought he misunderstood, so I clarified that I had an appointment, to which he rudely replied 'so do a lot of other people', and something about being short staffed. He also blamed the "A-rab's" (his pronunciation) that work at the call center for the scheduling problem. Throughout the whole interaction he never apologized and was downright rude to me, as if I was the unreasonable one for expecting to have my service done at the appointed time. I should also mention that I received no less than three text reminders about what time my appointment was, but no effort was made to inform me that it couldn't be honored. I was told I could bring my car back at 2:30, which I initially agreed to, but then re-thought. Called up another local shop that got me in right away and charged less than the last time I had this service at Monro. Will never be going to Monro again!

But when it was time to pay, the total was about $200 more than Costco. Then I was told, "I thought I told you that was just the tire price." That felt very misleading. If I'm bringing my car to you for tires, obviously I'm expecting them to be installed--not taking the tires home to install myself. Even worse, when I picked up my car, I found a large gouge and other damage on the rim. I brought it to the owner, Jeff, but he denied responsibility. My advice: take clear before-and-after photos of your wheels and vehicle before leaving your car here. I'm extremely disappointed with both the communication and how the damage was handled.

This time I needed a new tire for one that had sidewall damage. It's a special tire, but they were able to locate one and have it delivered and installed in a couple of days. When picking it up, I was running late and they said, "No worries, we'll be around a little longer -- stop by as soon as you can." I really appreciate their focus on the customer, setting realistic expectations, and getting the work done as promised. I've only had them do tire work, but I'm considering using them for other repairs.

Ny last trip they replaced my front rotors which I thought would be expensive. When I got the bill I found they covered the rotors and installation under warranty without even talking to me about it.
