Great out-of-state purchase experience with Road Track & Trail! MJ was the salesperson that helped me purchase a 2018 FLHC Harley Davidson, shipped to me in California and arrived in great condition. MJ was responsive and answered the many questions I had. I asked for more detailed photos and a short video. MJ was happy to get those to me quickly. Paperwork was easy and He stayed in touch throughout the process. Title arrived quickly and via certified mail. Price and condition of the Harley was spot on. No surprises when I took delivery and a great deal. Battery had a decent charge and fired right up. Shipping: Haulbikes was who RTT used to ship the bike to California. The overal shipping experience was positive and Haulbikes did send me an initial ETA and email updates along the way. Haulbikes was a couple weeks later than their original ETA but that was still more than a week EARLIER than what MJ had told me to expect. MJ did a great job setting the correct expectation around shipping times. Overall a fantastic buying experience. I would not hesitate to purchase from RTT again and highly recommend them to California and out-of-state buyers. Need to update this review..I made the mistake of not contacting the seller due to my frustration and later they contacted me to let me know that they had no idea until the post went live. They reassured me that they would of made things right. Lesson learned..I still didn't appreciate the salesman who originally sold the motorcycle as he no longer works there. I felt that he sold a bike that should of been inspected thoroughly and in my honest opinion lacked the final inspection. Sold my motorcycle at a loss of almost 3k..not happy. read more

I bought a 2003 Ducati ST4S from them in June 2025. Salesman was Tim. While he did point out some of the scratches and dings on one side of the bike (from a fall over while parked allegedly), he certainly did not point out everything - broken fairing piece, misalignment of fairing panels, crack in mirror housing, etc. - so I should have asked for a more thorough going over and done so in person myself. He also did not point out a dent in the front wheel rim. And the bike came with only one (black, not red) key and no code card, failing to mention that this could pose a problem with the immobilizer system as the key was aftermarket. Upon getting the bike serviced and repaired at Retrospeed in Belgium, WI (an excellent shop), it had other problems, too - worn clutch basket, worn steering head bearings, kinked fuel line, etc. And Tim said that he knows Ducatis well and has sold lots of them. I don't think so! And their shop obviously does not do thorough inspections of their used bikes to determine issues and faults. As I was at Tim's desk working on the purchase, the manager/owner came by and took Tim aside a couple times to apparently discuss the sale and the price. The owner/manager walked by me a couple of times but never looked me in the eye, said hi, or even smiled. I thought that was a bit weird. All in all, I think it's a shady shop just trying to make money. I would never buy again from them or recommend them to anyone. read more

Oh this was an easy one for me to do a review on. I had inquired about a bike online they are listing for 5500. A victory hammer 8 ball, essentially victory hasnt made bikes in a while as Polaris focuses on Indian. The issue I have is not so much with the bike but the person I spoke to on the phone. I inquired about the bike, and there was an option to a put a bid on this bike and if they accept or want to respond theyll call me. They called me this morning knowing I put in a bid of 4500, but when I spoke to Tim he told me that there is many people looking at this bike and they have had it for 2 weeks. It has winter pricing and spring is coming up so the prices will be going up. Ill give them a star for returning my phone call and thats it. He wasnt willing to move on the price that is very very outdated for a victory hammer. The bike isnt worth more than 4k honestly. This is coming from someone who owns 3 of them. It has 18k miles on it. His approach was wrong as a salesman, I have people interested in it - youre in WISCONSIN and its winter. If you had all these people interested why is it still there. Jon was my salesperson, I had a good experience working with him on the bike I was interested in. Picked the bike up on a Monday, drove it an hour home. Took it out for a ride Tuesday, the battery light came on. I called Jon, he got me in touch with Alex the service manager. I let Alex know I changed the battery and did some simple test on the charging system. I worked with Alex to get it picked up since I was not able to drive it back the hour to the store. Chad from Road track and Trail get in touch with me and set up a time to pick it up. I Spoke to Alex later that day and they were going to take care of the issue, which were a stator and regulator. Alex said it would be done by Monday or Tuesday. I did not hear anything, so I called on Wednesday. Alex said the bike was done. I was not able to get a ride to pick up my new to me bike that I road twice, I called Chad to see what he could do. Chad was able to bring my bike to me later that day. Thank you to Alex for handling the repairs and making it right. Chad's customer service and willingness to go the extra mile is what would bring me back to purchase another bike. read more

Bought a 2020 Road Glide Limited back in Sept of 2023. Bike had just over 29k miles. The bike died on me just after putting approx 3k miles on it. Took it to Harley and they did a check on it and found that there were major issues. They checked the service record and found that there were issues with the bike when the previous owner traded it in and it went straight to auction. Called the service department and the guy said that it wasn't a problem when they had it. They obviously don't look into the bikes history or do a very good diagnostic check on it. Went 900 miles to get the bike and now i'm going to be out $6k to get it fixed. Thanks for nothing. Will not buy or recommend anyone go to them. read more

Someone stated that the salesman Tim was good. He never got back to me when he said he would. Lied about finding a crack in the windshield. He took credit for what someone else found. The lying ass owner Nick thinks lying is ok as long as I got the windshield replaced. He didn't see it because some fraud, Nick probably covered it up with a sticker. I left a one on their website. Nick says I have buyers remorse. The only remorse I have is because I can't ride a bike that came from them leaking fuel and fouling on startup. Apparently their checking a motorcycle out is a good glance, and "Yep" looks good to me. Not starting right up, should have been a. He claims I made multiple pickup schedules. This guy has no integrity at all. None of these guys can be trusted. If you must buy from these frauds, do it through eBay so you have some protection. I don't recommend an outfit owned by a POS like Nick. read more

Purchased a motorcycle online from pictures. I'm over a 1,000 miles away and purchasing an expensive item like this online can be stressful. My salesman was Tim and he did a great job from start to finish. Once I made the decision to purchase Tim sent me all the needed paperwork to sign. The package was complete and well marked, super easy to fill out. Tim offered to have the bike shipped to me at a great price as well. I was in a hurry and found my own shipping company that could do it quicker. In the end I didn't save much time but paid more for the transportation. I should have just let Tim handle this as well. I got the bike and I must say I was very pleased. The condition was actually better than my expectations. Tim was spot on with the description. I guess you expect some things to be missed or not as good as expected but in this case everything was on point. I couldn't be happier with the motorcycle. I realized I was missing the spare keys, books, and service records. I called Tim and he said he would look into it and call me back. He called me back almost instantly told me he had located the missing items and would mail them to me. 2 days later I had everything in my hands. Overall it was an exceptional experience. FIVE STARS Cody and Jeremy!! What great people. The head tech and the head sales. One star Tim, the sales person. Ugh. My first and never-again-contact. I bought the bike (R1200 GS Adventure) through a recognized dealer, Road, Track, and Trail, to ensure all was right in the world and that it would arrive to me ready to tackle geography, to get its get up and go going, to be off on an adventure, and I trusted TIM. (The man actually yelled at me post-surgery when I was a week late on the deposit; my surgery. Yup, he yelled at me claiming his bosses were putting pressure on him.) So, that was a bit awkward. Ok, really uncomfortable. Honestly? Rather weird. I had the bike shipped to me and it arrived as the one in 1,000 that somehow "slipped through the cracks" as to no rear brake pads, no horn, a seat (saddle) that never locked in place, no word as was it serviced from TIM (asked MANY times!). The best yet? No rear shock. Devoid of hydraulic fluid. TIM HAD EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH ALL OF THIS. But he knows absolutely nothing of motorcycles. I asked him at one time about make and models, vendors like Bob's BMW. At least he was honest. He knows little about bikes. Not a fact. But he SOLD me this. And I let him... (my bad?) The fix? My trip was messed up by 1,200 miles (RT to NJ from Maine). I was headed WEST from NJ to Maine and then Canada and after to Vancouver. So, I am headed back to Maine. The best FIX? Cody W. helped me every step of the way and pointed me to EPM in NJ to repair my shock. He gave me his personal cell and yup, the shock was covered and the bike is great. I still hafta install a horn and get a seat that works... But thanks, Cody. Great to know people care. Never a follow-up word from Tim. Amazing. But you did what you could and more. Last summer i filled out a credit app for a bike, no call back whatsoever so i called them, the lady didnt have my file in front of her but said she was pretty sure i didnt get approved. I told her i have other options and she said someone would call me back about the bike...waited a week and no call, went and bought a bike cash somewhere else. Just this week i filled out a credit app for a snowmobile...you guessed it, no call back. Zero contact! My credit isnt the greatest so i try to finance whatever i can to build it back up. But that doesn't mean i dont have money. If this place actually would have called back either time, they would have sold a bike and a sled for cash. Now i am taking my money elsewhere today and buying a sled, and i will never try road track and trail again. Horrible business!! read more

I bought my snowmobile from here brand new about 5 years ago. I am a very informed buyer, so when it turned out this place had the best prices on new sleds in the Midwest, I made the trek up to big bend. They had me it the door within the matter of just a few hours and loaded up with a brand new sled. Also, they have all the parts and other gear you will need to go along with your toy whether it is a new sled or a bike, or even a side by side! I also cannot forget to mention that they're service department is wonderful and they have very knowledgeable staff. I got a call from the manager who corrected me, that is they had agreed to replace the mirrors and send them to my home. An apparent miscommunication, at this point I'm not sure who started, but i'll finish. I want to thank the shop, the manager and again Damien who as I previously noted was great. I should also say, I love the bike, it's a 2018 Indian Springfield -- Darkhorse. I've already put a few hundred miles on it. Thank you guys, really appreciate the follow up. I would not recommend dealing with RT&T unless maybe you are somewhat local and can keep an eye on the. I dealt with Rick Smith and he was not responsive to say the least. I live 800 miles away so I was primarily communicating by email. I send several emails to him asking various questions. It typically took him several hours to reply and would only answer a few of my questions. I would try to call but i guess he was too busy to pick up. I was ready to buy and liked the looks of the '15 Roadmaster but wasn't treated like it was any big deal to him, and told him that. Anyway I asked, once I pay how long to receive the Bike? All he would say is "the shipper will notify you as soon as you pay ($15,500) and I get in contact with them". I had already talked to a few shippers since I was looking in different parts of the country, and they said they could get a bike to me within 2 weeks and the cost would be 500-600 for about the same distance away. Once I paid, the shipper send me an email saying it would be at least 21 days after they pick it up. This was a shock to me. I pay on 4/27/19 and received my bike 5/26/19. I sent a reply with a big !!! Thats when the shipper told me they have a contract with RTT that they have 21 days to deliver. Thats all Rick had to tell me and I would have hired a shipper myself. But that's just tough for the customer. Once I received it I noticed the seat was not bolted down and the wiring harness that connects the trunk to the bike was missing so the trunk lights/speakers wouldn't work. I emailed Rick asking him to check with their mechanics to see if they had removed it during their "safety inspection...ha) and maybe it was left out. Could not get a response at all from Rick. Typical unprofessional sales jerk, after the sale you're on your own. The take away for me is they never tell customers a ship/recieve date and its nowhere in their documents. There is a place on the bill of sale for delivery date, but is blank. I emailed the sales manager, Tom and expressed my dissatisfaction but no response. read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop. I wanted a used Gold Wing on their site but it was already taken when I called. Jake then offered me a clean low mileage 2013 that wasn't even listed yet. I placed a deposit and told him I planned to fly up from Houston and ride back. Because of that, they put a brand new Dunlop Elite 4 front tire on it. When I arrived the bike was clean, exactly as advertised, and ready to go. Jake even reimbursed me for my Uber from MKE. The ride back to Houston was uneventful (and fun!). These guys are the real deal and I wouldn't hesitate buying from them again. And their prices and selection are fantastic. read more

I stopped in and ordered tires and Alex was very helpful, scheduling my appointment and bantering bike talk with me while we picked a date. After I dropped the bike off, Alex called me later that day to let me know my sub-frame was cracked. Apparently I have a high tolerance for vibration, and a great seat, but for whatever reason, I didn't know the condition existed. I bought the bike from a now out-of-business dealer (serves me right for not buying at RT&T), and definitely bought it that way, as I've never laid the bike down. Regardless, Alex asked if I wanted him to get a replacement shipped and installed, and I agreed. The part took a while to ship (not RT&T's fault, but the provider), and Alex kept be abreast of the shipping status, first with a phone call, and later, per my request, with email. The part arrived and was installed, along with my new tires, and Alex emailed me the good news. I picked the bike up, Alex gave me the run down of the work done, and I was on my way. I gassed up nearby, wondering why the bike was idling so well, and I headed off to work. I work on the Illinois-Wisconsin border, about 40 minutes away from the shop, and immediately I noticed an oddity; I could actually identify the type of vehicles behind me. They weren't vibrating like crazy in my mirror. The new tires and the new sub-frame made my '06 Roadie feel like the 2015 Indian I test rode a couple years ago. Riding on a cloud? Pretty close. I emailed Alex later in the day and asked him if they had adjusted my idle, as it was on my list to do, after wintering, but I had wanted to get the tires first, so my first ride of the season was to the shop. He replied that yes, they had adjusted the idle, as an extra bonus for having waited for the part, and he wished me safe riding. It was an amazing service experience. I will go to RT&T for my service needs, first stop, no question. And if and when I want another bike, they'll be my first stop! Oh, and did I mention I got the best price, for tires & installation, and I had shopped around? True story. Thank you for existing, RT&T. I live 4 hours away and emailed the company twice requesting out the door price on New old stock ATV and both times was told to come on down and take a look and would not give me out the door price. they emailed me a third time about a week later and I informed them that I bought a new machine from Heinen Motorsports who had given me an out-the-door price 2 hours after my initial email and then followed up with me three days later to inform me that there was a $250 rebate that it just started which obviously decrease the out-the-door price that much more. Companies like roadtrackandtrail make me leery when they cannot give you a price of what something will cost seeing as how this is what they do all day every day for a living and should know what the final cost of a product will be to the consumer. read more

I'm not sure how they make money but it can't be from selling things to people if tonight was any indication. I literally drove in with a trailer and a $15k cashiers check and they were so disinterested in making a sale I drive the hour home empty-handed. Background: I had communicated via email and phone my interest in a specific UTV (providing the stock number). I had also called and verified in the morning the specific Vehicle was available and I let them know I was coming in the evening. "Sure they said, Alex will help you". I asked if they took cashiers checks and they said "yep, make it out to RTaT". I let them know I was coming from an hour away and gave them the time of my arrival. My experience 1) Upon arrival, I call and talk to Alex, he seems confused and then sends me to Mike. 2) While they are trying to find Mike, I'm trying to figure out where to park my truck and trailer. See, there is no trailer parking at a place whose business model is selling and servicing things that go on trailers. Literally there are signs that say "no trailers". The receptionist says "well we have UTVs everywhere so park anywhere". 3) After parking "anywhere", I go into a building and am told "Mike and the UTV are across the street". I ask "Can Mike bring the UTV to this building?" Response: "No". I asked "Why?"and the answer was "it's blocked in". I asked "If it's blocked in how can I test drive it?". Response "blank stare". 4) So in 1 degree weather my wife and I trudge across the road and over to the building and find Mike. At least I think it was Mike. The person never introduced themselves, simply shouting "Hey are you the people interested in the Wildcat?" Interesting fact about this place, when you walk in it's unclear who is an employee and who is a customer. It has a sort of "bowling alley vibe" where there are just random people meandering about. Luckily a teenager pushing a garbage can asked me if I needed help (true story). 5) So anyway, so-called Mike takes me outside and shows me a veritable graveyard of UTVs and way at the back is the unit that I called about. It's filthy, covered in snow, and had plenty of undisclosed damage/scratches. 6) Mike says he isn't sure he can get it out. I say "I have a trailer and a $15k cashiers check made out to you guys, can we try?". 7) Mike then makes an attempt to start the vehicle which eventually chugs to life. He the informs me "oh the power steering is broken and we are waiting on part". At this point I'm thinking "I drove an hour, I went the bank and got a cashiers check, I hooked up my trailer in the bitter cold" to make a sale and these people can't be bothered to pull the vehicle out or even disclose that it's cant be driven? Seems like I was working harder than they were at making a sale. So, I will find another dealer that is interested in taking my money. read more

However , after getting there I now know why their prices are good ...they are filthy ( dusty and dirty ...sorry but that was surprising to me especially if you're trying to sell them , really ?!?) , pitted forks and pipes , gashes in fairings , scratches and swirls all over . Call me particular but I'm shocked at how bad of shape these are in , and if someone was okay with the outside condition of their messed up bike , tell me that they actually cared enough to take good care of the inside parts ( IE actually changing their oil ). During my first visit Todd helped me and my friend Peter navigate the aisles of this place (which happens to be a mile from where I grew up in Big Bend, WI, geez, what are the odds?!??) which is huuuuge. Pulled out a ton of bikes from both the cruiser side and the sportbike side. Really spent a lot of time with us. My second visit, with my dad, I had decided on getting either a Ninja or a Suzuki GS500. They were clean out of the Suzukis, but I sat on a bunch of Ninja 250s and 500s. Todd was super helpful but never pushy. On my third visit, I went by myself and Todd was helping someone else when I walked in. He saw me and waved "Hi Sandy!" DOH! Come here often? Uh, yeah, I guess so. I made my purchase (2008 black Ninja 500) that day and he, the finance dude Steve, and everyone was so very friendly and helpful. A mechanic even rode it down to my parent's house as I was terrified of riding in traffic (since I had only taken the MSF classes and dinked around a parking lot). Sweet! Super nice people, and they gave me a 30-day warranty in case anything went wrong, which nothing has. The bike was in great condition, and they take pride in making sure their bikes are ready to hit the streets once they leave the showrooms. Decent prices that reflect KBB values, more or less. And they are willing to negotiate, within reason. Before I left, Todd walked me through the bike, showing me all the basics, how to check the oil, put in gas, take off the seat, basic stuff, but good for this newb to know. He even offered to help me with my skills as a group of them go out riding on Sundays and don't mind hanging with the newbs. Or at least that's what they said. ;) Haven't taken him up on this offer yet as I want to practice a bit more on my own, but awesome of him to offer the help! :) Highly recommend. This place is kind of a hit or miss, I went to trade in a bike that only had 3400 miles and was in pristine condition....they offered me 500$ for it. I was looking to upgrade anyway so they offered me 1800$ for a trade in value....did some looking around at bikes and let me tell you....THESE BIKES ARE IN HORRIBLE CONDTION. I have never seen so many bikes with scratches dings, knocks and rust in any other dealer. All the bikes seemed very sketchy and Poorly maintained. Basically here's how this place works... they get the trade in bike barely running, throw some soap and water on it, and slap a price tag on it for the sales floor. Their prices are low for a reason folks, I would not recommend saddling up on one of these rickety bikes for a ride....it could be your last. read more

To be clear, haven't purchased anything from them yet, but phoned and left emails about a couple motorcycles they had online and the total cost to ship out of state. For all I know they could be fine, but I dunno these guys, and it's not exactly 'confidence-inspiring' for wiring several grand to buy an unknown machine, from an unknown cycle and auto dealer in another state, who doesn't phone and only emails back, doesn't seem to 'listen', and repeatedly doesn't answer direct questions, including the condition of a bike's tires and "breaks". And even the 'forwarding number' on their voicemail is apparently a 'mistake', with only 9 digits (not a good sign)! So overall my sense is they probably deal in volume, which likely includes repeated turnover in often inexperienced salesmen and staff, which is fine for them, but as a long distance prospective customer risking $$$$, not so much. read more

They didn't even bother to change the oil on the UTV I bought from them before they sold it to me and when I came to pick it up it was missing the cover for the battery housing, never mentioned it to me once. If your going to do business with them I would highly recommend buying new, it seems they don't care about there used inventory or the customers that buy them. read more

I recently purchased a used motorcycle from RT&T. I live 1,000 miles from the dealership and relied on online photos and videos. Sales people were helpful. The bike was shipped to my doorstep. I was clearly aware that the bike was being sold "as is". I had problems with the bike within my first 40 miles. I broke down on the side of the road and had to have the bike picked up by a local shop. I was out of gas! Turns out the fuel tank sensing unit was not registering any electrical impulses and therefore not sending a reading to the fuel gauge on the dashboard. The fuel pump also failed. My mechanic also said the brakes had 500-1,000 miles left on them. I figured, change them now and be done with it. As you can imagine I felt taken advantage of. I wrote a three page objective letter to three of the managers at RT&T hoping to get a response from them. I received a very professional call from Tom. We went over events and he agreed to help with the cost of repairs. After the work was done, I faxed the repair invoice to RT&T and received a return call from Tom that evening. I received a check from RT&T within four days. They did not pay the total amount, I did not expect them to. My point here is: 1. RT&T had no responsibility to reply to my letter. The bike was sold "as is". 2. Beyond that, RT&T also had no responsibility to pay any part of my repairs. They could have said, "as is" means "as is". You're 1,000 miles away, you bought it, you pay to fix it. But they didn't. They were genuinely concerned with making things right and for that I thank them. Would I purchase a bike 1,000 miles from home again? Probably not. The cost of shipping and repairs has driven the cost of this bike beyond reasonable. If I lived in Wisconsin so I could look at a bike at RT&T, would I purchase another bike from them? Definitely! They're dealership would be my first stop. I probably shouldn't have gone on a Saturday. Especially one with nice weather. Or maybe it was just too close to lunchtime. The store was busy and I had a hard time finding a salesperson to answer my questions. He seemed distracted/not really interested and did not try at all to relieve me of the ten thousand I had come to spend. Too bad for all involved. I had a great experience with my bike purchase. They threw in some extras with the deal and my battery died a year later and they gave me a free one. They have a huge selection and you cant expext every bike to be washed and waxed every day The parts guys are a little strange and dont seem real knowledgeable but as far as sales its a great place. Dont listen to the whiners. They want a 2 year old bike for half price. read more

I'm sorry for just getting around to writing this. I went to Road track and Trail this spring to upgrade to a bigger sport bike. When I came in the first time I found a salesmen and explained what exactly I was looking for. He pointed to a few different rows and said there are some bikes there and others there. He did not bother to actually walk me to bikes that fit my criteria and show them to me. I ended up going home to do some more research with a few different bikes in mind. I went back a few days later to buy a bike. I called before to get a VIN number for the bike I wanted to tell my insurance company. Once I got there the salesmen decided to tell me that specific bike had several issues that he never bothered telling me when I was in the first time or over the phone. When I asked if they would fix them if I paid cash for the bike they said I would have to pay. Even though it would only have been about 100 bucks for parts and labor. He showed me another bike that was the same model but a year older. I spent some time looking over that bike with my family. I asked if there were any known issues and if the bike was serviced when I was brought in. i was told its a great bike and that it was serviced including new tires. I ended up purchasing that bike and riding it home. On the way I noticed the bike was running a little hot but having never ridden a 600cc sport bike I did not think much if it. Once I got home the bike had to be garaged for about 2 months while I went back to school. Once I got home I tarted riding it again and started to notice issues. The front brakes failed on me while doing almost 100mph and the bike was now running insanely hot and would not cool down even after it was parked with the fan on and a box fan in front of the bike. To caveat the rest of this I had only ridden the bike less than 300 miles at this point. 80 of which were riding it home from the dealer. While trying to figure out the brake problem I took the fairings off and found a hole in the coolant bottle from the heat shielding being gone and the exhaust pipe from cylinder number 1 burning a hole in it. I called the dealer and spoke to the service department. The mechanic said that should have been found and fixed before I bought it. I spoke with the salesman I bought it from and he said he would have the sales manager call me in about 15 minutes. After and Hour I called him. He said I had ridden the bike to long and that both issues were my fault but that they would fix it for a price. After going back and forth for a while he finally agreed to debate who would foot the bill when I got the bike there. Because of the distance to the dealer I could not ride the bike there with no brakes so I knew I had to trailer it. They also said it would be about 3 weeks till they could do the work from the time the part came in, and that it could take up to 2 weeks to get the coolant bottle from Honda. Fed up I called another dealer who had me the part in 24 hours and had the work done by a friend of mine. He found that oil had not been changed in about 2 years. The breaks were not bleed causing the brakes to fail, and because of the hole in the coolant bottle the radiator needed to be flushed. In the end it cost me about $160 bucks to have my friend do the work but I trusted him and he had it done in a week. I wrote a review on their FB page and surprise I got a call saying they would fix everything for free. But to little to late after they blamed me for all the issues and were not willing to accept their mistake. Had when I called they offered to fix everything and do it quick we would not have had any issues what so ever. read more

I had to implement the gut/ 24 hour rule.....Walked in to purchase a motorcycle after a month of research. Salesman asks if he can help..told him I want to test drive a bike. His response...we have to do a credit check first....RED FLAG! Gut kicked in and said this guy is a scammer....but don't worry, his "manager" let the credit check slide.....ummm yeah...you can't require a credit check to test drive a vehicle.....then when I asked if the bike had a clean title, he said...he thinks so but there's no way of telling. You can run a vin and it can come back clean but have been in an accident..again BS......yes...but you can also run it and find it's been in an accident? So then he says..if it had a salvaged title It's my policy to let you know....no..it's the law...So I listened to the gut, left waited 24 hours and left a review.....going to St. Charles Illinois to buy the same bike. A new Loyal Customer Ive been shopping around looking for a 06 Vstar for about 3 months now. I live in Rockford IL and found out about Road Track and trail from an ad in cycle trader. From the first phone call to my last visit to pick up my new bike Adam was very nice and honest. He sent me over 30 pictures of the bike and even showed me a little scratch that was on the tank! When I arrived at there it blew my mind how many bikes they have and how well they responded to my needs. I am very happy I decided to buy from Adam, he really made the whole buying experience a good one. Ive had my bike now for about 9 months and I Love it. Havent had a problem yet. Thanks guys for everything. Going on a ride with my son the summer and cant wait to ride to california and feel safe that my bike will make it! read more

I agree with the people saying they wish they could give negative star reviews. I called them about seeing a bike that was on their website, and they told me that it was still in. I spoke to Brad, and he had me ask for him when I got there. Cut to after my shift. I meet up with my dad and we headed to Road Track and Trail. When we got there, I walked in and saw a bunch of people in RTT shirts talking to each other and playing on their phones. We walked around and looked for the bike, which ended up being in the back outside of their detail shop. At this point, we had been there and wandered around for about 5 minutes. No one asked if we needed help. We got distracted by another bike, and someone walking out of a room heard us say we needed to find Brad. He said he'd get him for us. He got paged and we proceeded to wait for another 10 minutes. No one came to tell us that he would be there shortly, or anything. We actually started the bike and sat on it, and even started pulling things apart, and no one said a word to us. Brad finally comes to help us. The first question he asks me is how I'll be paying for the bike. At this point I haven't said a word about how I even feel about the bike. (Let me just say this - the bike was very obviously laid down at one point. The tank had been repainted - poorly - and there were paint chips and dents all over the bike. Definitely not worth the price that they had it listed at. The best thing about this bike was the new rear tire.) I read and sign my release form for the test drive (and can I also mention here that there's some sketchy stuff that you're signing away on? Much sketchier than any other forms I've signed for test rides) and I take the bike out for a ride. I got back and told Brad that the clutch had almost no play in it. He told me that's normal. I've never ridden a bike that had that little amount of play. He told me that's an easy adjustment. (Sure, as long as the clutch has adjustment left.) This is where he should have offered to have the clutch adjusted or looked at so I could take it for another ride, but he didnt, so I then asked what else they had that's bigger than my current bike, yet in my price range. He said he was sure there was a few, and if I could wander around and look, just let him know if I wanted to sit on anything. Gee, thanks for being a helpful salesman. We wandered and found a few bikes in my price range that were also very obviously damaged pretty good from being laid down. I can't say though that if I had found anything I would have bothered to try to find anyone for help anyway. We ended up going across the street to Jamie's Customs. While I didn't find a bike there that day, I will be going back to Jamie's to keep looking. (Long story short - and it will be in a review on there soon enough - Todd spent more time with me than I spent at RTT by myself, and was super friendly and informative about the bikes.
