I bought my Indian Chieftain Darkhorse here brand new in 2020 and brought it back for its very first oil change at 6,300 miles. When I dropped it off, I signed an estimate for $220. During the service, they claimed my drain plugs were stripped out. Since this was the bike's first-ever oil change and it was purchased directly from them, they are the only ones who could have caused this. Despite this, they denied responsibility and charged me for the new plugs. To make matters worse, when I picked the bike up a week later, my final bill was $384. They claimed the $220 paper I signed was "just for labor" and didn't include parts, oil, or filters. The service advisor was nice, but the pricing transparency and lack of accountability are completely unacceptable. I will no longer bring my bike here for service. read more

I contacted Fuel PS through Cycle Trader for a quick quote on a used bike but also as a test to how they do business. Ian responded with ridiculously long canned text w/way too many emojis and a pushy request to CALL to speak to him all before I had even made it clear I was a real human. Via text I asked for a breakdown of price, tax, title fees, shop fees, etc. Ian made it clear again that "it works better if we talk on the phone" but sent some of the info I requested. Bike price: $8000, Shop "Reconditioning fee": $199, WI sales tax: $440, WI Title Fees were not listed but the total out the door price was "around $9200." Do the math: $1200 over the listed price ... So shady. I have seen this before at other Powersports dealers (Fuel PS, Action PS, and Cedar Creek Motorsports are all owned by the same company) who list a price that is nowhere near the out the door price to get you in the door or on the phone. "Recertification Fees or Reconditioning Fees" that are overpriced fluid changes. Padding the back end of the sale under the vague phrase "tax, title, and fees" to the tune of 15% might be common practice but it's shifty as hell. I thanked Ian via text and ended it with STOP and instead of taking the obvious hint he called (to the same # he had been texting to) and left a message stating that he had provided the info I requested as though now I owed him a phone call for the trouble and insisted I call him. I work in sales and this sort of breathing down your neck, high pressure sales technique is a great way to make good, smart customers never come back. Yuck. No way am I buying from these guys. Read the Yelp reviews! There are LOTS of them with very similar criticisms. 1/2 of the responses from Fuel PS to these reviews state that the person(s) responsible for poor service etc. have been fired...NFW they have fired 25 people over the last five years. They refused repair the drive belt on my Yamaha Riva XC 125 even though the rest of the bike was healthy. Pretty easy fix for a cycle tech. The inventory shortages due to supply chain issues, and manufacturer's labor constraints have taken the fun out of the purchasing experience for consumers of power sports equipment. There will come a time once again where dealerships need to earn business from customers again. If you had a great experience with Fuel Powersports, I'm happy for you. I want to share my experience with Fuel Powersports in hopes I educate even one person to take there hard earned money to a different dealership. On 4/7/22 I was excited to locate the exact machine I have been searching and waiting months for and it was immediately available on the showroom floor at Fuel Powersports. I spoke with them on the phone at the end of the day about the machine they had for sale as well as the machine I wanted to trade in. They were excited to receive my unit on trade, as it is also a machine that is in high demand. I was told they will get back to me the next day with final numbers. On 4/8/22 I spoke with Fuel Powersports again happy to work out a deal with them. I understand today's inventory shortage more than anyone so I insisted on them taking a deposit to hold the machine for me. They refused to take my deposit and assured me that the machine was "mine". Next we arranged a time to pick the machine up. I offered to come in the next day (4/9/22) to which they answered "we have too many appointments already, and suggested 4/12/22 instead because they are closed on Mondays (4/11/22) On 4/12/22 I began the 5.5 hour drive to Fuel Powersports. I was 1 hour away from the dealership when I received a TEXT from my salesman stating that they sold the unit I was going to purchase on Saturday. Keep in mind this was the day they were too busy to deal with me. I would expect this type of experience with a FB market place, or Craigslist, but not from a "professional" dealership. When I expressed my frustration with Fuel Powersports, they repeatedly referred back to the "difficult environment" we are in today and there is nothing they can do for me. They refused every one of my suggestions and opportunities to make things right with me. Fuel Powersports had the luxury that most dealers long for in having a unit on the floor immediately available for sale and they still fell on their face. I initially was impressed with the sales staff and felt like I was being treated fairly and honestly. People were friendly and not pushy by any means. However this is one of those shops that hit you with 'setup fees'. From the manufacturer, to their holding company that un-crates and prepares the motorcycle for delivery. This entails putting on the antenna, windshield, hooking up the battery, gassing up the tank. On top of that they told me they do a secondary pre-delivery inspection. It's why it takes a few days from their receiving to delivery. Anyhow after I picked up the bike I rode off to Menomonee Falls and realized I couldn't tune any radio stations. They did tune it to 92.5(West Bend station) but they would have had to do that manually. So between the two stages of their setup and second inspection no one really bothered to check something so simple. I texted the salesperson telling him it wasn't working, no response. I had an appointment in Cudahy so I couldn't return to the dealer at that moment. When I was done I checked my phone around 2.5 hours later and no response. So I called knowing they're closing soon. Talked to the sales guy, he went to talk to the store manager. I said I know you're closing soon, Monday's they're closed, and I'm on the bike so email me with their thoughts. The email I received from the store manager basically said I know it was checked and either drop it off Tuesday or maybe they can arrange a pickup. Kind of arrogant in the way the message read. Anyhow Tuesday they picked up since I work days, I had another appt in the afternoon so they basically got there last minute. Less than an hour after it was picked up they called and said the antenna wasn't plugged it(as I expected was the case), all works now. Told them I'll be by later afternoon to pickup. The upside is they did wash it since I had a few hundred miles on it already and some murdered bugs on the windscreen. I really wanted to give this dealer a good rating but the fact they charge what in essence is a pocket lining fee 'for setup' and through 2 different stages of it they didn't do their job properly. On top of that the message I received from the store manager I found to be more on the arrogant side. When I picked up the bike the service writer Joe was apologetic and very nice as one would expect. The sales guy lack of response over several hours and the email response from the store manager it what is driving this score.I'm 99% sure the positive battery cable shouldn't be exposed like this. Definitely won't be going there for the 500 break in checkup. Their attention to detail is supbar. read more

I would never recommend this place! If it wasn't for the deal we would have never bought anything. Took forever to get finance info. Then they were telling my finance bank that they weren't a trusted source they needed all this info and a picture of the check(FROM THE BANK). Told us to be there by 11... we were there by 1015. Machine wasn't washed and ready nor was the paperwork! Sat there till 1215 before we were finally signing papers. They told us the wrong total, charged us more for the part we bought too! Will never go there again. AND they didn't put coolant in the machine!!! Drive it off the trailer to park and the engine light was on. read more

Worst hucksters ever!!! These are the guys who give dealers a bad name! I was pre-approved by my Credit Union to buy a new bike. I wanted the Indian FTR 1200s. Fuel had a used one in stock. The price for this bike, with 1,700 miles on it, was more than they were asking for a brand new FTR in Madison. I pointed out the price disparity, and the salesperson told me we could negotiate pricing after we nailed down financing. I assured him that I was pre-approved and would go through my credit union for financing. This is when he said the most ridiculous thing. He told me that Fuel Powersports doesn't allow customers to get their own financing since the Covid pandemic. So I walked. I got out to my car and was searching for any other FTRs in the area when the salesperson came out and apologized and convinced me to come back in and talk. Which I did. I was still unhappy with the price for a used bike being so high, so he went to get the sales manager who came out like he was my best buddy. Got the price down to $100 less than the new bike in Madison. But ONLY, if I went with their financing and screwed my credit union. SERIOUSLY!! Just would NOT let me go with my own financing!! I left, called Engelhart Motorsports in Madison and gave them $500 to hold the bike they had in stock, of which I'm now the proud owner. I'll NEVER buy a bike from these guys! read more

OK 1st of all they were rushing me during the whole purchase time. Secondly the finance girl is rude 3rd. I refinance for a 2 and a 1/2 percent less interest rate so now. I'm waiting for a refund on my gap insurance and I've called twice and Anna is very rude on the phone. And says it'll take 6-8 weeks to process my refund when it took 2 minutes to purchase it .... do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your next toy !! read more

They are not your partner in Motorsports. They hide all of the additional fees in purchasing a unit. Whatever price is advertised you need to add at least $1,000 plus 5% state tax. Also, had service work done on first years maintenance of ATV. Change oils and "look over" machine -almost $400 on an ATV! They said they'd call after a few days to let me know how long even after our initial discussion said no more than 7 days to get back. Ended up taking 10 days. On the plus side, they did wash my ATV and it came back looking awesome! They also always have a strong inventory of cool machines. I'd prefer the "no games" pricing to make it a more positive experience. read more

Great service. Needed to have the neck bearings replaced on my 2004 Meanstreak. The service was top notch, as they sold me on a better product for less than the OEM version. Bike was finished at price promised and at time promised. They even washed it up. Brought it in , in early March still had winter garage dust on it. Looked good and rides like new. I went along with them because I couldnt find this bike, last years but new and color I wanted and since I drove so far I just gave them the $200 and bought the bike from salesperson CJ. Fuel Powersport used bike prices are extremely high. I have been watching a couple of them that have now been sitting on their showroom floor for over 2 years. They won't negotiate on the price at all. These bikes are going to start getting dry rot seals, dry rot tires, etc. You'll buy a bike from them and have to replace the tires, battery, etc. because they sit for so long. They think they are giving you a sale price when they list the value of a used bike at MSRP of the bike when it was new. Then they list a sale by saying they are giving you money off MSRP. News Flash... A used 2018s value is not MSRP back in 2018. It's KBB todays value. You want to list a sale price under KBB, then that is a sale price. I've made very reasonable offers to them on a couple different bikes. I'll no longer bother with this place. They are sitting and waiting for that one uneducated who will walk in and buy the bike no questions asked, never checking into anything. Don't be that person. I bought both the bikes I looked at by them from another dealer and had both bikes shipped to me, still saved thousands of dollars. Their bikes are priced way to high. read more

I waste an hour driving here from Milwaukee to find out that not only is the price not negotiable after they said it was, but their advertised price does not inlude $900 misc. Fees. Dealerships in general are schiesty...this one is worse than other I've been to. It's one thing to not budge on your price, it's another to lie, waste my time and try to scam extra $ on BS dealer charges. There are a few times in life where you find a good dealer you can trust. This dealership is that place. Moved to West bend a few years back and was helped immensely by their parts department to get up to speed with a Honda supermoto. Not their brand, mind you. Very interesting issue. Had decided to purchase a used ATV. Went in to test drive the unit. While speaking to CJ I told him clearly this would be a credit card purchase of a $3500 unit. He said he'd talk to the mgr because they don't usually accept credit cards for the entire purchase price. Odd. He walked off and came back with the test ride waiver so I assumed we were good to go. Took ride said let's do the deal. He then says he needs to ask about the credit card. Ok that's backwards seeing I was there to leave with an ATV. He comes back to say they won't accept it and would finance it. No I want miles as i was paying over market price and want to offset that. He goes to ask again and comes back with I could charge half the cost. I was told because it was in case of fraud. So. You have a copy of my Id my credit card info and would need to title the vehicle to me and yet your concerned I would cancel the charge. Makes zero sense. I go to Best Buy to buy a 3k tv and they take a charge card no questions asked. If I financed I could first payment default and skip town and it's the same result. I've never had a legal form of payment rejected by a business. They accept CC but only to a point. The policy lacks internal logic and cost them that sale but a future one as the girlfriend was going to get one as well. Update. Owners response months later and doesn't address the fact you have a sales rep that ignored a customers direct ask and was deceitful in his responses. The complaint was two fold. The sales personnel were great to work with, even if they did cause an error in the transaction. But I would NOT recommend financing through them. It was a mass of a headache trying to fix some errors that was created in the transaction of sale. After 6 weeks, many phone calls and severe headaches later, everything was finally completed with additional cost on my end. We are enjoying our purchase but I would NOT finance through them. Fuel powersports you need help with your customer service. I think the guys name was Ryan. Anyhow after I drove 45 minutes each way and getting treated like crap when I got there. The sales guy keeps calling me everyday to let me know I got approved and I should come down right away before it sells. Talk about harassment? Called in regards to see what type of financing is available. The finance guy said it all depends on the structure of the deal because they work with 30 different banks. I told him that I have excellent credit score and if he could give me a % range. He then became defensive and said he has seen between 3% and 30%. How is a customer supposed to budget or get the best deal if they are not willing to work "hypothetical numbers" over the phone. I wish I would have read the reviews before getting involved with this unethical business. We drive two hours to buy a $10,000 pwc advertised online and discussed with the salesperson over the phone. Beware, the price you see is not the price - add 15% for their made up "fees" and then tax, etc on top of that. It takes THREE HOURS to get it - price agreed and paying cash. What in the world? We are told that it takes all kinds of paperwork, etc. The reality is they could care less how long you sit there and they want to make sure to put you in front of the slimiest used car type finance person you will ever encounter in your life (Kyle - beware of this guy) so he can try to sell you even more with way overpriced warranties that nobody should want or need. For example, a pwc battery warranty for $399 (the battery costs $100 - just bought one literally get day before for another pwc we have) - don't think that fits in the category of protecting customers . . . ripping them off, yes, this company is all about that. Everyone was downright rude and offensive from the sales manager to the finance guys - unbelievable some of the things they said and did - talked down to us, belittled us, actually accused us of "trying to evade a cash transaction" because we didn't want to pay cash like they were forcing us to do and told us they were going to report us to the IRS just for trying to evade a cash transaction even if we didn't pay cash which they insisted on and solicited. I wish I were kidding about this - it was unbelievably unethical. Beware all as they will force you into one of two situations: 1) Finance your purchase because they make more money that way from financing spiffs or 2) cash where they will then report you to the IRS for a large cash transaction which severely increases your odds of a very inconvenient and time consuming IRS audit. That's right, no cashiers checks, no wires, no credit cards. Guarantee if they bother to respond to this post at all they will try to say how this policy is a customer protection - nothing about this policy of only accepting cash or financing and reporting customers to the IRS because of their ridiculous policies protects the customer - nothing. Apparently the reason for this is because they have not the first clue how to run a business. Pretty sure the hidden reason is because this business itself is unethical and they are pocketing cash and evading taxes, but I'll report the situation to the IRS and let them do their own investigation just like they like to report their customers to the IRS. Forcing customers to pay large amounts of cash is an IRS audit trigger so if you were forced to do this as well, I encourage you to report the suspicious activity to the IRS. I bought a house with a cashiers check and also bought appliances for the house that cost way more than the pwc with a credit card. So apparently every other business in this country has a banking relationship and procedures for accepting normal methods of payment, but this company just can't figure it out. It is evident in their shady finance policies as well as their bait and switch pricing, false advertising, wait times, service issues, etc. There is no advertised "deal" good enough to endure the pain of dealing with this place. read more

Fuel has a beautiful show room a large selection and plenty of sales staff. It took a half an hour to get somebody to talk to us with only one other customer in the store. When we finally settled on a machine to buy the final cost was literally thousands of dollars more then a dealership less than 30 miles away. Fuel's price point started $1000 more than another dealer right down the road for the exact same machine and after the set up, delivery, and doc fees ( that the other dealer doesn't charge) my final out the door price was $3200 more at Fuel Powersports. In fairness, the people we worked with there were pleasant and helpful however, their price point out the door I felt was way out of line with other dealers . read more

I drove 45 miles to buy a new Yamaha side by side. Online shows great prices and selection. The salesperson had little knowledge of the inventory or the products! He couldn't stop telling me about his 3 week vacation out of the country, he also was talking with a cigarette in his mouth! The advertised price suddenly had almost a thousand $ in fees added to it! Al (sales dept) & Jeff (finance dept) were just outstanding. The communication from Al was very prompt and he always did what he said he would do. Jeff presented me with my finance options and explained everything in a very clear way and was never pushy. Everyone else that I came in contact with sincerely seemed to be happy for me and shared my enthusiasm for picking up my new Slingshot. What is even more amazing - is that I had the best buying experience of my life while also getting an unbelievable deal! I will never go anywhere else. Great place to go if you want to be ignored. Last night, my husband & I went to buy a gift card for our son-in-law, who had recently purchased an ATV here, and wanted some accessories. We had decided to buy a vehicle ourselves to use on our 70 acre land. We bought the card, and spent the next 30 minutes on the sales floor, and NEVER did any of the 5 people on the floor ask if we needed help. Two of them were glued to their computers, and the other 3 were talking amongst themselves, standing 3 ft from the front door. We were prepared to purchase a vehicle on the spot---cash sale. My husband and I left--angry. I told him I wanted to go back into the shop and ask for a Polaris book, which I did. I regret not getting the name of the sales person that I spoke to then, as he was friendly and had just returned from helping another customer until I approached him. I told him that he was the only person in the place working, and that we had been ignored by everyone else. (the woman at the podium did greet us when we walked in, and said goodbye as well, so she did her job). This gentleman apologized and asked if we had any questions, to which I replied that the book will answer what we needed to know, and we'd be buying the vehicle some place else. Nice selection. Professional looking shop. Went in because of an ad for a scooter i saw on craigslist for $1025. I went with the money in hand ready to buy. When i walked in i was finally acknowledged after one worker decided to look up from his computer. From there it went down hill. I told told him about the scooter i was interested in and asked for a test drive. I was laughed at and treated as if asking that question was unheard of. I wanted to test drive the scooter i was going to purchase and instead, once he found out i was more serious about it he said "I guess you can test a vino?". I was there to purchase and teat drive a kymco 125 and he offered to let me test a vino 50 instead, how does that make ANY sense? Goes even further downhill from there. I told him about the price it was listed at and he, once again, laughed in my face like i had no clue what i was talking about so i showed him the listing on craigslist and he was silent after that. He gad no clue what to say so he said "that cant be right, I'm going to go check pn my computer fast". He comes back after 30min to tell me that that craigslist post was false (even though it was posted BY THEM) and the best he can do is 1300 before taxes and registration. Not saying thats a bad price, but its a hell of a lot different than what they orginally posted. 2 hour drive from illinois, COMPLETE WASTE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more
