Meineke Car Care Center

They did a great job, informing me of problem and took care of it. Friendly staff. Thank youread more

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

I swung in yesterday after excitingly seeing the NOW OPEN proclamation on the front sign. They have three bays for oil changes that were all open and available, but I was there for the car wash/vacuum center. They have two lanes for the car wash, completely automated. They take cards and cash and offer many washes/add-ons at the kiosk. Pulling forward an employee will rinse you off first, then it's a touch car-wash. It may seem like a simple luxury, but I REALLY appreciate when the "move your car along the tracks" system pulls you automatically through the dry as well--I can never seem to get it all even and end up with an awkwardly half-dry car. After exiting I went over to the vacuums, there were four cars parked there as well. Awkwardly I noticed it was all the employees parked in those bays, but maybe they wanted it to appear busy to attract people? It attracted me! The vacuums are seriously the most sucky ones I've used at a shop like this. They pulled every stray leaf and dog hair. Unfortunately one of them was already clogged up and not very good. They do not offer cleaning materials like Jilly's does either, no windex/carpet cleaner/air freshener, and no drying rags. I think this is a great quick stop for a wash and vacuum, but if you need a more thorough cleaning it's still worth it to drive down the road.

I planned to go to Kwik Trip for a car wash but the line was massive. I remembered driving by this…read moreplace on the way to Costco and decided to give it whirl. This place is slightly more expensive than Mister Car Wash but not by much. I got the 2nd level car wash that included the underbody wash, $15, a $1 more than Mister Car Wash. When entering the car wash, it was not very clear to me when to put your car in neutral. I was expecting a sign that says so when you get to a certain part but then the guy just started yelling at me. At the end of the car wash, there isn't a sign or light that says shift into drive. What I did think was nice is they provide towels to wipe your car off as well as an interior spray. The parking lot could use some attention as I stepped into a pothole full of melted snow when exiting my car to vacuum it. Would I come here again if the Kwik Trip has too long of a line? Sure but not in hurry.
