I installed new AC System. I bought the AC machine and installation through Cyfair Mechanical. At the time of purchase, they also offered free servicing of the AC machine for 2 years that was included in the price. This means they will come and check the AC functioning and clean the AC waste pipe that carries the grease type material that causes the clogging, and the water starts overflowing. They did the job in the first year after calling 6 times, but in the next year they did not come at all. I send them text messages and called David on his cell phone for at least 20 times. But he never turned up. So please make sure if you are using Cyfair Mechanical for your AC machine installation, to record every piece of information in the contract. read more

Needed a new compressor & air handler installed a few years ago. Out of 6 bids, they were in the middle range. After installation, city inspector made them move the compressor as it was too close to the breaker panel (you'd think they'd know city codes already). Our 23 year old builder grade Carrier system was on its last leg. It was still working but it was only a matter of time before its inevitable failure. We decided to be proactive and replace it before the weather got any warmer. I found Cy-fair Mechanical on Google and their reviews seemed fair so I called and requested an estimate. Ronny came out the same day and provided an estimate on the spot after listening to what I wanted and explaining some things in regards to what a new system would entail. He was polite and professional in his presentation and best of all, NO PRESSURE. Nothing sours a deal like pressure to sign a contract. The estimate was very fair and was right in line with what we were thinking it would cost so we skipped getting any other estimates and went with them for the service. Having gotten multiple quotes for our previous project, it's a hassle and pretty unpleasant to have to deal with multiple companies. Called the next day and gave the project the green light. David advised it would be another week before they could start but that was partly due to my availability and with our old system still working, there was no immediate need for replacement. A few days before the start day, he called again to follow up. On the day of the install, they arrived when they said they would and the crew of 4-5 guys headed by Alfredo(I believe that was his name) got right to work. Seemed like everyone knew their job and they worked diligently to knock out the project in an expedient manner. They took time to lay down protection on the floor and were cautious when moving things in and out of the house. All said and done, it took them just under four hours and the new system was blowing cold air. Ronny came by as well as David and both were very polite and thorough in checking the work of the crew. They did a good job cleaning up, even when one of the vents blew a bunch of old junk out all over our dining room table. Clean up is a huge deal to me. Our previous AC company left a small but very apparent mess in the attic the last time they were up there which was a bit frustrating and it cost them any further business. Ronny explained everything and several of them commented on my new choice of thermostat (Honeywell wi-fi) which is apparently a very popular choice. It's always a very satisfying feeling when a project goes smoothly, especially with the cost involved. Our new system is amazingly quiet and we are anxious to see our bills in the summer now with our new system and the new windows we did last year. Hopefully we don't have any AC needs in the future, but if we do, I would not hesitate to call David at Cy-fair Mechanical. read more

I am late writing this review - Cy Fair Mechanical installed our new A/C system last summer however my delay has given me the chance to also comment on follow up service and care for customers since it has been a year! First, his price to put in a completely new A/C and heating system in our 3200 sq foot 5 bedroom home was 40% less than the next lowest bid. So low, in fact, we decided not to use him because we don't believe in anything that is "too good to be true". His high ratings on review sites and a particular review on Angie's List where they were also skeptical about his low prices calmed by fears and I gave him the job. I was watching carefully to see if they cut corners to try and figure out how his prices were so low. Not only did his crew do an awesome job, they did not cut any corners and in fact put higher quality ducts with a higher R value than the competition was quoting on the higher bids! OK, so how is his follow up? I have had two issues since the initial install, and both times his crew was out to fix it the same day within hours of my call. The first issue was that I discovered that there was a leak of air conditioned air in a wall. They came out and determined it was one of my original air ducts that had a leak. Inspection revealed it had been leaking a long time - since before we owned the house. They spent about an hour and more of their new ducting to reroute my old duct and fixed it. To my surprise, there was no charge for this, that was clearly my issue and not anything they had done or failed to do. His answer to why they didn't charge be for the service call, parts, and labor? Because they should have noticed it when they were here the first time. The second time I called him was about 2 months ago when my thermostat screen locked up. They were out within a couple of hours with a new thermostat and switched it quickly. No charge - all under their warranty. I highly recommend this company, and if you are looking at spending tens of thousands on a new a/c system and are in the Cypress area, I am happy to show off their work and my awesome dual zone / dual compressor system they installed for us. read more

He is amazing!! My husband thought he could handle our A/C unit himself when the fan blade wasn't turning. However, he was wrong. It had been two days of barely any sleep and was late in the afternoon when we said we need help. We called Cy-Fair Mechanical and David Moore came to our rescue. He was so helpful, knowledgable and and all around wonderful person. He was actually about to go to the store with his wife when we called. He stopped, turned around and headed our way to help us fix our unit. He didn't have all the parts right there but he came back later that night with the part to finish fixing the unit.
