Great store with helpful employees, especially the pharmacy. Also right next door to a shaws if you need to run in and get something.

I was very excited to see Tyngsboro Family Pharmacy open up because prior to that, in order to fill…read morea prescription, I either had to go to Nashua or Chelmsford and it just wasn't convenient for me. I needed to fill a prescription over the summer and I figured I'd give TFP a try. Wow - they were amazing! I walked and in and immediately was taken care of. They even asked how I was feeling in relation to the meds I was picking up and took the time to explain everything I needed to know about the prescription. Everyone was so down to earth and friendly and made me feel at ease. That experience was only the tip of the awesomeness iceberg. I went in there to buy a pharmacy product and was kind of frazzled and in a panic so I just grabbed it, paid for it and left. Turns out I didn't need both of the items I bought so I went back a week later to return one of them. The owner recognized me and told me that she realized she had accidentally overpriced one of the items I bought and didn't notice it until I made the purchase - so right then and there she handed me $3 cash. WHAT? That would never in a million years happen at one of the huge pharmacy stores. The grand finale - a couple weeks after getting my prescription there, I got a hand written thank you note from the owner for bringing my business there. You just scored a customer for life!

I just had a conversation with a "gentleman" (not) in the pharmacy on 142 Main St. in Salem NH,…read morethat has left my heart pounding and I'm shaking. I called to ask if they had a medication in stock, and was told that they didn't have it. I asked him if he knew when they might get it in stock and he flipped out on me. Bottom line, he had no idea. When I asked what I should do in place of my meds and he was incredibly rude. He told me it wasn't his problem and I should figure it out myself. I asked his name so that I could call corporate (although I didn't tell him that) and he refused to give it to me saying "You don't need my name!" I asked again and he responded "I said you don't need my name!" I asked again and got the same response and then he hung up on me. I have been using this pharmacy for over 30 years. For a good portion of that time, the pharmacy employees were terrific. Then all of a sudden, they were all transferred to other pharmacies and replaced by rude, inconsiderate, impersonal, arrogant, impudent....you name it, employees. I got off the phone, shaking. I did call corporate and was told by another guy that I wouldn't hear back for three days, "maybe more", but he was sending in a report to them about the incident. He wasn't very personable either, but at least he didn't hang up on me. I have no idea what to do about my medication. I called another Rite Aid in town and was told that they were out of the medication and couldn't find out the availability time because their "system is down since last Friday" which I have heard several different times in the last months. I am at a loss as to what I should do. My insurance only lets me get scripts from Rite Aid. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Cashiers overcharge customers, and when you point out a mistake, instead of an apology you are sent elsewhere to deal with it. Supervisors behave rudely and dismissively, making customers feel unwelcome. It is very disappointing that such a good store has such poor and unprofessional service. I paid for 19 items but received only 18 and was forced to waste my time, nerves, and mood trying to figure out why I was overcharged, while facing rude and unacceptable treatment from the staff. The cashier voided Tetra Food and immediately scanned it again, leaving two units charged while only one was physically present. There is no logical reason for re-scanning the item after voiding it!!! When my money was refunded, already on my way out of the store, I approached the cashier again and showed the receipt as proof that a mistake had indeed been made. I calmly explained that this is not the correct way to work, especially considering that earlier she insisted everything was fine and that there was no mistake. After the supervisor heard our conversation, she rudely interrupted it, cutting me off, and in a raised tone began saying "have a good day" while pointing toward the entrance door. This is what top-level service and customer care look like! Unfortunately, in order to get their money back for an incorrect charge, customers have to experience the full "pleasure" of this kind of service. Only at the service center did a kind woman treat me with understanding. She re-counted the items with me from the beginning and processed them again in order to print a receipt confirming the mistake. It is very disappointing, because I genuinely like this store -- the products, the selection, and the prices. However, the customer service is simply terrible and completely ruins the overall impression of the store. It's a pity that management is unlikely to read comments here

Don't bother going to the Plaistow NH store if you don't speak Spanish. The box says "guaranteed satisfaction or retun it for a full refund".
