I just had a conversation with a "gentleman" (not) in the pharmacy on 142 Main St. in Salem NH, that has left my heart pounding and I'm shaking. I called to ask if they had a medication in stock, and was told that they didn't have it. I asked him if he knew when they might get it in stock and he flipped out on me. Bottom line, he had no idea. When I asked what I should do in place of my meds and he was incredibly rude. He told me it wasn't his problem and I should figure it out myself. I asked his name so that I could call corporate (although I didn't tell him that) and he refused to give it to me saying "You don't need my name!" I asked again and he responded "I said you don't need my name!" I asked again and got the same response and then he hung up on me. I have been using this pharmacy for over 30 years. For a good portion of that time, the pharmacy employees were terrific. Then all of a sudden, they were all transferred to other pharmacies and replaced by rude, inconsiderate, impersonal, arrogant, impudent....you name it, employees. I got off the phone, shaking. I did call corporate and was told by another guy that I wouldn't hear back for three days, "maybe more", but he was sending in a report to them about the incident. He wasn't very personable either, but at least he didn't hang up on me. I have no idea what to do about my medication. I called another Rite Aid in town and was told that they were out of the medication and couldn't find out the availability time because their "system is down since last Friday" which I have heard several different times in the last months. I am at a loss as to what I should do. My insurance only lets me get scripts from Rite Aid. Any suggestions are welcomed. read more

This is the pharmacy that I have been using now for well over 10 years. I am so over this "older" store as it smaller and does not have the inventory as the other local pharmacies. Also- there is a staff at the pharmacy that I cringe when I have to be served by her. She is not friendly, curt, and rushes you through almost to a point of being disrespectful. I have since moved 2 of my scripts out to Walgreen's online pharmacy. CVS has also built a new large store up the road at the state line which I have been going to and it and the staff are much nicer. read more

The young girl working behind the counter in the pharmacy leaves much to be desired in the way of personality. Very rude and short attitude and never a smile. Called to get a fax number for their location as I need it while filling out a new Pt provider form for a telehealth appointment. She argued with me on the phone before placing me on hold and then telling me the pharmacist said they can't give out the fax number. I then asked to speak to the pharmacist and she replied, "I just asked him." Fine, I STILL want to speak to him. He then gets on the phone to tell me the Dr. Can reach out to get the fax number... Well, there's not a place on the form I'm filling out online to tell him that! Thanks for your continued rudeness EVERY time I come to your location. Switching pharmacies! sayonara! love the pharmacist beth! She is wonderful, knowledgable and helpful. My issue is a clerk or pharmacy tech Lori who is so rude that I am considering changing pharmacies. I agree with the cringe worthy feeling of the other reviewer. i have talked with others who use salem main street pharmacy and they know exactly who I am referring to because they share the same feelings about her. If it weren't for Beth I would have taken my business elsewhere a long time ago. read more

have been using this pharmacy for years as it is closest to my house. every time i go in to pick up my prescription i am treated as a bother, and feel disrespected by lori. she may be good at her job, but she has no sense of customer service + is not at all friendly. I've had prescriptions sent to the rite aid on 28 as well as the one in pelham, nh out of convenience and ive been treated a million times better at both of those!! i plan on changing pharmacies solely for the fact that i will no longer deal with lori.. its a shame that so many people have complained, yet she continues to make it an uncomfortable exchange for everyone every time. read more

Today was a mixed experience, on the phone was told to "hold please" before you can even say anything. My wait time, 8min 54sec almost 10 minutes to talk to someone, I asked about another prescription as the woman tried to hurry me off the phone without checking on it. Finally as I tell her I'll be down to pick script up, she talks over me saying, "you cannot pick up your prescription before your designated time it's not ready yet", ok.... Wasn't going to but thanks for the reminder. When I arrive the person whom I know I spoke with on the phone, is as nice as pie in front of me. I have always had this type of experience going into this store. I've lived in the area for about 8 mnths, and it occurs to me....why am I constantly getting treated like I'm an inconvenience? My business should be appreciated;why do I continue to do business here when there are many other places that would love my business? read more

purchesed 2 500.00 money orders on saturday afternoon for a deposit on a house. ive never purchased a money order before but my bank was closed and i needed to put a deposit down on a house. the purchade went off without a problem however when i returned on monday to return the money orders and get my money back because i didn't get the house thats where the problems started. i walk in and kindly explain my situation and the lady behind the counter said "ugh we dont dont do that here" i said your kidding me right?? she looked very angry and upset that i was bothering her. im sorry sitting behind the counter texting on your phone must be so taxing. the manager comes down and i explain to her what my situation was and she says..." ohhhhh im sorry, we dont refund those" at this point im fuming and respond ohhh of course you dont.... so you had no problem taking my 1,000.00 but now that i dont need the money orders you cant give them back. thats great business. then she gives me a number to call western union for the refund.... i call them and they give the run around. this rite aid sucks...the service sucks. i was very let down, not to mention the place is so ghetto. read more
