She could see that I was not feeling well and offered to help shop for the remaining items while I sat down next to the pharmacy. The pharmacy tech also prioritized getting me my prescriptions and asked me if I needed help calling an Uber or if I was going to be OK to drive home. What floored me the most was that she called me about three hours after I picked up my medication to follow up with me and make sure that I was feeling better! You don't see this in a lot of pharmacies, this woman had such compassion. I really wish I remembered her name so I could've called CVS corporate to give her some kudos. Then I got a message on their useless app saying there was an insurance problem. I don't have insurance and I've told them this several times before. They are also rude when they finally answer the call. I left months ago and went to Rite Aid and never had this problem but Rite Aid went under and guess who got all their patients? Yup so back in their circus. Last month my prescription was 5 days late and was told first come first serve. The app is useless because my medication is a controlled substance. And people wonder why some folks turn to the street for their medication. I wouldn't do that but I certainly understand why some do.

I needed to fill a prescription over the summer and I figured I'd give TFP a try. Wow - they were amazing! I walked and in and immediately was taken care of. They even asked how I was feeling in relation to the meds I was picking up and took the time to explain everything I needed to know about the prescription. Everyone was so down to earth and friendly and made me feel at ease. That experience was only the tip of the awesomeness iceberg. I went in there to buy a pharmacy product and was kind of frazzled and in a panic so I just grabbed it, paid for it and left. Turns out I didn't need both of the items I bought so I went back a week later to return one of them. The owner recognized me and told me that she realized she had accidentally overpriced one of the items I bought and didn't notice it until I made the purchase - so right then and there she handed me $3 cash. WHAT? That would never in a million years happen at one of the huge pharmacy stores. The grand finale - a couple weeks after getting my prescription there, I got a hand written thank you note from the owner for bringing my business there. You just scored a customer for life!

One item in the gardening shop had no price. I stopped a very busy clerk and she checked the price for me with a smile. I further ordered my 6 bags of mulch & 2 bags of soil using her order cards at the register. She found the items I requested and rang up the order. My concern was no one is usually available in the garden area to put the stuff in your car (these items are a bit to heavy for me) but she assured me she'd find someone and by the time I went out and brought my car around, there was a young man waiting for me. Kudos to the clerk for following thru (with a smile) and the very police and helpful lot clerk for assistance. I would like to say here, tho, that WM has the staff pile shelves too high. The average home shopper is a woman, the average woman is 5'4" tall...so why are the shelves about 6 feet with boxes on top of boxes? (Please understand this has nothing to do with the gardening center clerk that assisted today, it is a complaint I have about WM in general and some day hope someone will listen.)

There is no logical reason for re-scanning the item after voiding it!!! When my money was refunded, already on my way out of the store, I approached the cashier again and showed the receipt as proof that a mistake had indeed been made. I calmly explained that this is not the correct way to work, especially considering that earlier she insisted everything was fine and that there was no mistake. After the supervisor heard our conversation, she rudely interrupted it, cutting me off, and in a raised tone began saying "have a good day" while pointing toward the entrance door. This is what top-level service and customer care look like! Unfortunately, in order to get their money back for an incorrect charge, customers have to experience the full "pleasure" of this kind of service. Only at the service center did a kind woman treat me with understanding. She re-counted the items with me from the beginning and processed them again in order to print a receipt confirming the mistake.It is very disappointing, because I genuinely like this store -- the products, the selection, and the prices. If I could wave a magic wand I'd get rid of Walgreens. If you need to speak to someone, well tough luck because they will put you on a 50 minute hold while kicking you out of their system multiple times and having to call back and now hearing you are the second caller in line. It takes them so long to get prescriptions ready too. Need your Drs office to send a medication here? Too bad. If I leave a voicemail, they claim to never get it. They apparently don't know how to do anything manually like send a fax, and the once or twice they have actually gotten my voicemail in the 2 years I've been responsible for calling them in, they call back asking questions that were very clearly left in the voicemail (we record all info that we leave in voicemails in a log). Somehow Walmart is the best pharmacy I deal with, hands down. Hopefully the next wave of pharmacy bankrupting turns towards Walgreens next.
