I hadn't yet, so I said I'd agree as soon as I in fact received it. Instead of showing me the appropriate piece of paper, the clerk reached over the counter and tapped the button. That's blatant falsification. When I objected, they got self-righteous. I left, and I don't plan to go back ever.

Over the years, I've used many different pharmacies and never had a particularly good or bad experience. Very hum-drum. But then I used Elm St once and after that I was all set. They are my go-to pharmacy every time now. They really do redefine professionalism, courtesy, accuracy, and speed. They will have a line of 5 cars pull up but in 8 minutes they'd have them all cleared out. I call in for a refill and I get a text that it's ready literally 5-10 minutes later. They put other pharmacies to shame and I do mean that. I think they have a good team who have similar work ethics and who take pride in doing an excellent job so when you get that kind of synergy, it shows. I don't recall their names but the young female tech with dark hair, glasses, and a slight accent as well as the youngish male PharmD are fabulous. When you see them there, know that they're working hard to get your your Rx and they certainly raise the bar for all pharmacies to aspire to. Good job!

This store has a similar atmosphere and layout as the Manchester (Gold St) and Hooksett locations with concrete floors (warehouse-like), food market area to the left, apparel/jewelry/housewares/furnishings in the middle, photo lab/books & magazines/electronics/office supplies in the back, outdoor merch/automotive in the back right, toys section/garden center on the right side of the store and a Subway in the front of the store. Similar to Manchester (Gold St), the pharmacy/health & beauty things/cosmetics sections at this store are located in the front right side of the store. The pharmacy in the Hooksett and Concord stores are located across from the food market section near the center of the store. I've bought many items from the Derry Wal-Mart Supercenter including big picture frames, magazines, fresh produce, salads, Lawry's seasoned pepper, cold drinks (beer & wine), personal hygiene items, OTC meds, toys, wipers, spray paint, calculators, movies, blank media, shoe laces, jogging shorts, and many other things. This Wal-Mart can get very busy at times and the checkout lines may get long including the self-checkout lanes. They will usually page all available associates to the registers when it gets this way.

I called to ask if they had a medication in stock, and was told that they didn't have it. I asked him if he knew when they might get it in stock and he flipped out on me. Bottom line, he had no idea. When I asked what I should do in place of my meds and he was incredibly rude. He told me it wasn't his problem and I should figure it out myself. I asked his name so that I could call corporate (although I didn't tell him that) and he refused to give it to me saying "You don't need my name!" I asked again and he responded "I said you don't need my name!" I asked again and got the same response and then he hung up on me. I have been using this pharmacy for over 30 years. For a good portion of that time, the pharmacy employees were terrific. Then all of a sudden, they were all transferred to other pharmacies and replaced by rude, inconsiderate, impersonal, arrogant, impudent....you name it, employees. I got off the phone, shaking. I did call corporate and was told by another guy that I wouldn't hear back for three days, "maybe more", but he was sending in a report to them about the incident. He wasn't very personable either, but at least he didn't hang up on me. I have no idea what to do about my medication. I called another Rite Aid in town and was told that they were out of the medication and couldn't find out the availability time because their "system is down since last Friday" which I have heard several different times in the last months. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a carefully-worded apology from the manager, promising to raise my concerns with the pharmacy staff. Based on the response from management it is my impression that this experience was not the norm and that the issue was in fact handled. Also based on this response, it is my feeling that the store is generally well-run. Nothing is perfect but responsive management is a very good sign. Overall the staff treat customers well and customer concerns are taken seriously. You can't really ask for more than that and so I will continue to patronize this store.

Bad experience at Fedex drop off with Rachel and Kim at this walgreens. They tried to deny my…read morepackage even though it didn't go against any of the posted safety policies and I had used this Fedex for similar packages before. Rachel tried to claim that since she had worked there for 29yrs she would "know" about what was allowed and what wasn't. We went over the policy hanging on the wall together rule by rule twice, and when it was clear that my item was allowed, she tried to say the printed policy they had was "clearly outdated" and needed to be replaced. They eventually shipped my package, but they also tried to deny another customer from shipping their package, until eventually realizing they were wrong there too.
