Just called to ask if my prescription is ready. They said yes and that they close at six. I rush over and get there a few minutes before six. Of course their gate is closed and no one will help me. "Sorry, we are already closed." "It's not six yet." "Our computer system is already shut down." Again, it wasn't six yet. I had just gotten off the phone with a woman that told me they close at six. Legit, do not fucking waste my time like this. I may not need my meds urgently, but there are definitely people who do. I updated my critique on 5/16/18: after getting a positive response and a reasonable explanation from the store manager. However I'm leaving my negative review until the store posts a sign about this issue: I'm sick of the missing sale signs on this store's items, hence any coupon on your Extra Care card (which is always better than the "sale") is voided. I noticed one item was on sale when I checked out and complained to the guy at the register that there was no sale sign on the item, otherwise I would've bought another brand. He acted like I must be blind any simply offered to scratch the item. I thought I wasted enough time so I begrudgingly bought it any way. Later, at home, I noticed another expensive item didn't get discounted at all. So now I call to find out why. The guy on the phone said it was also on sale and it didn't come up at the register because it was a buy 2 get 50% off and I only bought one. He then admitted the store takes the sale signs off early, INTENTIONALLY, because it's the last day of the sale. He didn't even offer to even honor my card coupon, he only offered for me to drive 5 miles back to this store just to return the item and get a refund. I also couldn't get him to admit the policy of taking down the signs hours before the sale is complete not only inconveniences customers it rips them off. I called it a bait and switch, since I only bought these items with the promise of using the discount on my card. read more

Maybe if you worded your sentences properly and politely like "is so and so still on this prescription" instead of "so they need it or not??!?!" after you were asking me about a completely different dosage, I'd actually understand what you're asking. I don't get how she dares to snap at customers when it takes them forever to fill/ring up orders that should've already been done. I came into this CVS today and witnessed a cashier (older white woman with long blonde/white hair) be extremely rude and hostile toward an older customer who was checking out. The customer simply asked for change and the cashier started yelling at him and when he asked for a bag for his items she again yelled and told him "no you cannot they are 10 cents". He had the ten cents in his hand ready to hand them to her. She then proceeded to throw the bag at him and walk away. I had a scheduled covid test here & when I arrive at the site, they proceed to tell me my appointment has been canceled. At least text or email me... driving all the way here was frustrating & the pharmacy didn't help at all. I asked if there was anything they could do because I needed this covid test asap -- I even asked if they could offer me a free take-home test kit. The pharmacy lady said, "Oh we have some available for $30." Not going to waste my money because my appointment was canceled. Worst customer service ever. This CVS deserves 0 stars. I came for vacation so I booked a pre travel covid test for my son 2 weeks prior. I kept getting text messages and email of my appt coming up which is a good sign. We were on our way to CVS for his appt when they all of a sudden canceled his appt 30 minutes before by sending a text! Furious, I called and told them I am on my way for my son's appt why did you cancel? Their excuse... because of the wind!!!! I asked them if my son can just take the test inside then and they said no. I also asked can you reschedule him for tomorrow then? They said no I have to do that online. I told them but you are the one who canceled the appt, not me. They still said I had to do it online. Frustrated, I went online and they along with all the other CVS in the area, did not have any more appts for that day or the next. Luckily after about a hour of searching the web, I found another CVS 20 minutes from my airbnb that could take him that day. I told them what happend and they were shocked that they would cancel everybody's appt all because of the wind! Reminder, I did this all on vacation! The pharmacy... the never ending wait for a script they hopelessly couldn't fill... All I can say is they kept me coming back over and over and over. I finally told them to give me my script so I could go somewhere that could deliver. The drive thru is super inefficient and your appointment time doesn't matter, cars will cut regardless or block you out of your parking as they're waiting. I usually go to this store because it's the closest from where I live. I always have the feeling that this store is about to close or out of business. The store is deserted, merchandise is not easy to find, employees are no where to be found...I notice some products I often purchase from this store seem never been stocked. I searched for an employee, she acted as if she was from the other planet and could not give me a decent answer. This is my regular pharmacy and that's the only reason I come here. I used to brag about how short the wait for my prescriptions were here but as the years go by I feel like the service has really gone down. They are getting slower and slower--I might as well go to walmart and wait the 1.5-2 hours and get some shopping done at the same time. The pharmacists and pharm techs chat a lot even when there is a huge line. I was 6th in line one night and I waited 30 minutes just to get to the window. I was so irritated that I told them just to give me the bottle of meds to walk out with and to not bother stapling the bag/receipt. when I finally got to the front. Now I would understand if you made small talk with the people who come up to you in line but when you're having side conversations with the people you work with instead of being efficient and moving the line its really irritating! This has happened the last 4 times I've gone here. read more

This place is a joke!!!!!! Do not go here if you can help it. They have a sign that said, " Pharmacy that Cares" - BS!!!! My wife was in pain waiting to get her prescriptions but the technician(Asian guy with long black hair sticking up like a Rocker) and the pharmacist(Asian guy) don't care!!! They both know that we were waiting. We waited for so long that my wife had to go sit down next to the pick up line waiting area because she just came home from the hospital ER. We were next in line waiting for anyone that can fills my wife's prescriptions. They just take their time...instead of getting our prescription to put in the computer to get it process they were talking and/or helping other people that aren't even in line for the prescription but rather for some other products that is over the counter items that they were helping to explain to an elderly person. It has nothing to do with the Pharmaceutical product...the elderly person should have been sent to right personnel or the front cashier or the manager. It's not a pharmacy issue, unless they have no one waiting inline to fill prescription. Ehhhhhhhhh! read more

I dropped off my prescription at CVS and it was ready 4 hours later. But what can I say, they were the only place in town that had what I needed. So, aside from the long list of complaints on yelp! at least the people behind the counter were honest. -I had to wait in line of 6 people dropping off, but only 1 person was available taking in orders -they told me, it would take 3-4 hours because their pharmacist was the only one on duty -the tech there did actually tell me they had it in stock, so I decided to wait for it. -they texted me when my stuff was ready. I went to 6 other places first, but all did not have my mom's med in stock. To me its not really the staff's fault they are quick or seems rude with their customers, its CVS' fault for not supplying enough man power. I think people should have realistic expectations when you only see 2 people working, running back and forth ringing people up, answering the phones and handling people waiting to drop off their prescriptions. read more

They only have the one receptionist which of course has a person with messed up prescription and takes super long time. This is strictly for their pharmacy service. I usually don't go to this one but since I was in the area I decided to get my prescription filled. As soon as I got to the line I swear it sounded like I was in Vietnam all over again. The pharmacists and techs were extremely loud and were having their personal conversations and cracking jokes with one another. When I got to the counter and handed over my prescription, the tech was a total snob and acted as though she was too good to be there. After sometime of her fiddling on the computer, she tells me that my insurance is invalid. Invalid? Wth? I just had a baby AND I saw my OB within 30 mins prior to coming to CVS. After some back and forth she finally listens to me and decides to call the insurance where I was then verified as covered. Meanwhile, another tech was standing next to her to back her up trying to convince me that my insurance was invalid when it really wasn't. By then I was just over it. Took back my prescription and went to my usual CVS where I had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Seriously, don't come here and deal with these snobby pharmacists and pharm techs that act like they're superior to everyone else. read more

I went in carrying my 1 year old and was only able to buy one thing, compared to the list I brought in with me, cause that is all I was able to carry while carrying my heavy 1 year old. The only reason I come to this location is because it's near my home but their service is so poor that this will officially be my last time here (they DON'T deserve even a star) . I've been to many CVS pharmacies and this has to be the worst of all. The Pharmacy Technicians are so snobby, rude, and careless to the clients. I tried explaining to the pharmacist about my insurance coverage and she told me she knew, but really didn't understand anything I told her. Every time I come in, I run into some type of issue with these rude technicians. This CVS needs to hire more pharmacists, because I think that could be the problem. Wanted to get a flu shot, signed a piece of paper and gave it back to the pharm tech who told me to sit and wait. 20 minutes later... and it seems like they have forgotten about me. They looked busy, but was assisting everyone who came after me until there was about no one left. Then I asked the pharm tech how much longer will it take. He asked me if I "signed the paper." Apparently there's another paper I needed to fill out, but no one told me or gave me any other paper than the one I already signed. Waited 5 minutes more and then someone gave me a health assessment checklist to fill out. More waiting... until I brought it up again. The pharmacist grabbed his basket of the flu shot, bandages and disposable bin, looked at me and walked away which I hesitated to follow, because he didn't say anything. Until he turned around and said "flu shot?" And took me to a back room to give me a flu shot. I suggest explaining what I need to sign, information I need to provide, an estimated time frame, and just betterk communication with customers...Also, better communication between staff, because they seemed to have forgotten I was there. First time here, and it was conveniently close to my house. I think I'll try Costco pharmacy next time though. My flu shot at Walgreens 2 years ago took 5 minutes.... Update: Better experience the last two times I needed to pick up a prescription. They text you when it's ready. read more

Thank you Mr. Enrique for making me feel like a criminal. It was very misleading to put mirrors throughout the cosmetic section and scold the customer for sampling the product. When I asked you why you don't put a sign saying not to sample products you couldn't answer. It was very unprofessional to embarrass a customer and joke about it in front of your co-workers. This problem of customers sampling your product WILL continue unless you make changes. It won't matter to me because I will NEVER shop at your store again. I'm not sure why the pharmacy staff are getting bad reviews because personally i think they are wonderful..A month or so ago i transferred my prescriptions from the cvs at talbert to this cvs on brookhurst because it was so much closer to my home. Ive been in to drop off and pick up my prescriptions 4-5 times so far and the staff have been very helpful and very friendly to me.. read more
