I don't like feeling scared walking into my local Rite Aid or thinking someone is going to jump out at me because it's so dim. I'm busy and rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. This is about the pharmacy section of this Rite Aid and the rude and unsatisfactory service that my partner experienced when he came by, straight from an urgent care, with our one-year-old daughter to pick up a prescription for her. Instead of providing consultation services on the medication, the pharmacist instead decided to chastise my partner for not dressing our daughter in a sweater and she had the audacity to tell him that it was his fault that she was sick. (He had parked directly in front of the pharmacy and had just run in quickly to pick up the prescription, but it seems that she had assumed that my partner had walked over to the pharmacy in the cold with our baby). As if that weren't enough, because the pharmacist failed to provide instructions on how to use the medicine, we did not know that it was "foul tasting" and to mix it with a little apple sauce or juice. As a result, our daughter vomited twice because we gave the liquid medicine straight to her in the provided syringe and as indicated on the medication's label. Horrible pharmacy. I gave the pharmacy a heads-up last Monday that I was running low on a prescription. This Monday, I called to follow up. They told me to call back. I called them yesterday and they said to check back. I called them again this morning, and they said to call back by 4 pm. Just got off the phone with them. They don't have the meds yet. I've been here several times in the past 6 months and the Thriftys ice cream area is always "out of order" and beneath says that they are fixing it .. what's going on rite aid? I'm always forced to get the larger bucket sizes which doesn't bode well with my conscious. Something about just getting a single scoop served to you immediately on a hot day. Was just in here to buy some things and some cigarettes. Looks like they are asking to scan Drivers Licenses so that you can buy them. Juts to let you all know NEVER let anyone scan your DL. There's no way that Rite Aid are keeping your information in a secure location and will at some point, if it hasn't happened already, be breached and your DL license information taken. Also, when I refused to allow my DL to be scanned or the number to be typed in In, I was refused service. By a really surly gentleman who got agitated and had an attitude about it all. Probably because I'm white... Looking into this License scanning thing. I don't think it's federally legal nor do I think they are meeting federal standards if it is. read more

Order #05739. I came here to simply purchase a COQ10. As I was waiting in line I noticed the cashier had a pleasant attitude with the customer that he was helping before me. When I arrived to check out my item his attitude changed from 0-100, like he didn't want me here considering it's the first and last time I ever walked in here. I left my wallet at home and just wanted to run in quickly and grab some mucinex and get home and this stupid cashier at the front refused to sell it to me. We came here after lunch at KFC. My favorite thing is to get Rite Aid ice cream and eat it in the store, looking at the seasonal aisle and the toy aisle. This day was no different. The staff was friendly, and I got a chocolate malted crunch. The kids loved seeing the Xmas toys and decorations already up in the store. I really liked the Peanuts xmas stuff. Good job! This place treat disable people like crap and attempt to steal my controll pain medication. I been on pain every 6hr a day for my servere back pain and they fill it for 30pill and tell me to take it home. I was a pharmacy tech my previous job and I notice the fill was incorrect. I refuse to fill and went to another pharmacy. It was fill for month supply of 120pills. Where would the missing of 90pill goes? I used to fill all my medication at this location but I have to transfer all my medication out of this pharmacy. What happen to my complain file? It disappeared? If I have money I would sue this location. They are lucky that I am disable and poor. read more

No one was there, we waited a little to see if anyone would come but and attend us. The moment the employee helped us named " David " ( on his hat ). He told us make sure you all know what you want so I can ring it up first because he didn't want us to eat it before paying. I like the remodeling that rite-aid did to this location. The updated layout is beautiful. The main reason I go here is for the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is quick, efficient, and professional. This location is nice because I don't have to drive far to access a nice store with good service. The parking lot usually has space for my full-size truck so I'm very pleased that parking is easy! We stayed at the great wolf lodge and this was a quick walk to pick up supplies. The first night I walked over to pick up some bandages. By chance, I happen to open the first box and found it empty. I usually refill my prescription via their app. It's easy and they notify you by email and reminder too. My prescription was ready and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly. Today I tried out the pharmacy. My prescription was faxed by the physician at 2:30 p.m., and my physician told me it would be ready in 45 minutes. With other errands to do, over five hours later I called, on my way to the Rite Aid, just to make sure I don't have to wait when I get there. I learned that nothing had been done. I could not understand the girl on the phone, whose words were garbled. She tells me 30 minutes more, which means they had done nothing till I called. I went home and waited, and then had to venture out again. So, it took them almost 6 hours to fill a prescription. One was for a heavy pain medication, so obviously it was not a routine prescription. If they waited a little longer, they would have been closed for the day. When I asked why it took six hours, they had the attitude of: what's the problem? "That's how we work around here. If someone comes in, we have 15 minutes." So there you have it. Yet another medical service provider who is more concerned about its own convenience than the patient/customer. First and last time for me at this pharmacy. Not even sure why I'm giving them two stars. read more

Having appointment at 5:20pm 10/01/2021 to get the booster shot for my mom. Asking for status after 20 of waiting without any indication of they will call I ask for status. The technician, name Gary, rudedly responds with threatening attitude: "Do you wanna wait or leave?" without telling how long we have to wait. When we strongly disagree with Gary's attitudes, the pharmacist later on apologizes because of short staffs and tells us to wait for another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, they call another person who has the appointment at 6:00pm instead of us. When we bring it up again they would call my mom in instead of the other person. This is unprofessional place to deal with. This is it. read more

In a state with 4 seasons of summer, it only makes sense that you go get ice cream. I went here with a group from church since we were all in need of an ice cream fix and we were all quite pleased with our ice cream. They have a variety of flavors to choose from (about 16) and a few choices in cones; waffle cone, sugar, or a cup. They give a very generous portion of ice cream and when I was charged, the cashier thought I was given two scoops instead of just one. I went with the safe flavor, the one I always get, strawberry. Needless to say that it was delicious. Everyone in the church group got a different flavor from strawberry cheesecake, to chocolate, to vanilla, and they all seemed to be satisfied by the look of it. Bought 3 tubs of icecream with same flavor. When we got home and opened 1 tub and did not like the flavor. I tried to bring back the unopened and untouched 2 tubs right after just about 20 mins after we bought them to exchange for another flavor, but they would not take them back. They said once it leaves the store, they would not take them back. Talked to the store manager and nope, they would not take them back. I asked what policy stated that? And there was no where in the store said that they would not take icecream once it leaves the store. I went to Rite Aid on Brookhurst and Wesrminster street, they were willing to take them back. Also, I love coming here for the ice cream. Easy to take home pints from their freezer or a full service ice cream counter for scoops in cups or cones. Do try the coconut pineapple. This Rite Aid is well maintained and stocked. The layout is new and the place is kept clean... for the most part. I was able to get what I needed and get out without much hassle. However, I did see a couple employees simply pass by me without acknowledging me, which I don't care for since I was coming off as a bit lost and in need of a sense of direction. Considering it was early morning and there were very few customers inside, I don't see where the problem was to neglect customer service. I wasn't going to hold it against this Rite Aid that much until I noticed that someone pooped on the floor directly in front of the cashier at the entrance point by the time I left. Now, I don't know what it takes to make an employee acknowledge a customer when its not busy, but you must be completely ignorant to not even notice someone squatting down to leave a turd on the floor next to your only cashier that is open! I'm sorry but for that, I got to say I'd rather go to a different location than come back here.
