The worst. The pharmacist wants to discuss private health and medication issues by yelling over the counter instead of the designated private area ten feet away. She does this in front of the long line of people waiting - the line is usually winding halfway down the vitamins line. If you miss a pickup she'll gleefully tell you, "we gave it away to someone else." Ask her to double check and she will magically find it. It makes you wonder why she shows up at a job she hates so much. And why people don't just switch to online subscriptions and home delivery nowadays. read more

Worst experience. Just leaving after being told to come back for a FOURTH time for a very routine medication that should have been ready yesterday. No one seems to be able to explain the delays and everyone is rude and just pushing me to the next person. This review is specifically for the pharmacy and the self-checkout section. The pharmacy staff is incredibly curt and rude and not as professional as other CVSs in California. When I asked the woman if she could help me with my prescription, she asked for my birthdate, but I didn't respond because I couldn't hear her accent, and then she just barked at me. I was about to tell her off, but I didn't want my prescription late because I was leaving for California the following day. The other people who worked at the pharmacy looked like they did not want to be there. Not friendly or professional at all - as if it was a disturbance that I ask this lady to help fill out my prescription - check your attitude at the door. Then getting to the self-checkout section was a disaster. They're always broken, and I don't understand why they're so clumsily created - half the time, there's not enough room to place all your items where the bags should go, making it annoying. Especially if you have a coupon, sometimes it doesn't go through, and then you have to ask the surly staff with a snarl for some help. The staff do not want to help you at this CVS; you are in their domain. 3-stars because I can always rely on this place for quick flu shots and COVID boosters. read more

I don't know why this CVS only has two stars. I have been to other locations and the pharmacy staff is not nearly as friendly or professional. My prescriptions are always correct and ready quickly- sometimes even before I call! Great place to get flu shots. Every employee I have met here is super kind and I value their continued hard work during COVID. I bet it gets tough too, as the type of clientele in this neighborhood can be a bit entitled or rude at times. Heads up: if a newly prescribed medication isn't ready immediately, it's probably on the doctor's side. Please stop berating the friendly pharmacy staff! All the prior reviews for this particular location are two years old or older. I stopped by last night (on a Saturday) around 6:00PM, and the store was pretty vacant. All I can say is that I had excellent service. I do think that there was only one cashier on duty, but they sort of steer you towards doing the self checkout thing. I had a question about the price of a few markdown items that weren't showing up that way when I did a price check at that machine they have for you to do so ( and get three feet of coupons spewed out at you). The guy that helped me with the pricing error did all the work for me at the self checkout, and made sure my print out coupons were processed. I wish I remembered his name, but he's an ace in my book. The best thing about this CVS is the big parking lot in back. It's easy to get in to, and easy to get out of because there is a light at the intersection where you enter. It's much better than the Silver Spring CVS at the Blair Shopping Center. I just may come here more often do to that reason alone. read more

We've lived in the neighborhood for over 15 years and I love the staff here - cashier & pharmacy. They are very helpful and quick with suggestions or help with self checkout. The other day an older lady left her phone so the cashier ran outside to give it to her. I recognize many of the employees and they are always pleasant to everyone. The earlier posts about lack of stock must refer to CVS' supply chain, not the store's fault. The shelves are well stocked and I see the staff dusting and cleaning what product is there. During Covid, it's challenging to be in customer service and they have done a great job providing positive service with a smile so we can get the products we need. Kudos!! read more

Worst CVS I have been to. Do no place your disposable photo orders here! I have yet to receive my order and it has been over two months. I have gone in constantly and called constantly only to experience the worst customer service, especially from the manager Anthony. No one at this CVS was helpful and we're only rude. They interrupted me and never let me explain the full situation. Constantly assumed they knew more than me about my situation and never found my photos. Three different people told me to come in the next two days and every time I came in the photos were not there. Finally had help when I directly called the CVS photo line and had them directly call this CVS to get the situation handled. Ridiculous. read more

Every time I come here there is a problem with my prescription. Once they lost my prescription, as in they threw it away. Another time, I was told to return on another day, when I returned the pharmacy tech had no idea of the issue I was referring to. Today I come and they tell me my prescription that was called in several hours ago is still being worked on and it would also take an additional 20 mins for my prescription they have on file. The pharmacy tech raised his voice and had an attitude when I said that if one is going to be 15 mins and the other 20 mins that I would just wait for both. I try to come here bc it's my neighborhood pharmacy but because of the bad service and now horrific attitude, I will not be returning. I gave it two stars instead of one bc when they did lose my prescription, the pharmacist, not the tech, was extremely helpful. She did all she could to help me. read more

I have long suspected that CVS has a nationwide slowness policy - as in, they encourage slowness. I sincerely believe that they encourage staff not to open registers when there are long lines. This CVS takes the cake though. No matter when I go - any time of day or night - there is one register open and a line of about 40 disgruntled customers. Far worse is the pharmacy. My shortest wait time at the pharmacy - with only one customer ahead of me - was 22 minutes (and that was today). My longest, and most frustrating, experience took 52 minutes (and really shouldn't have been all that complex in this day and age -- transferring a prescription from another pharmacy). All this to say, bring a book. Preferably a long one. It's going to be a long, long wait. read more

Don't even think about asking to use the restroom. During the biggest snowstorm of the year, when drivers were stuck in their cars for hours trying to get home, the employee working this CVS store would not let drivers use the store's restroom, stating that the store had no public restroom, and would not budge from that position despite that there were obviously extenuating circumstances right outside his store. read more

I stop in here because it's really convenient on my way home from work, but my experiences have ranged from mediocre to unpleasant. They are frequently out of stock and there is always a line, even with the self checkout options. They seem to have self checkout only, yet it's an extra clusterf*** because no one can understand it and all their staff is cramped in there trying to help people. Today I tried to get a raincheck on my coupon because they've consistently been out of what I needed (120+ count for a cvs brand medicine), so the manager--trying to prove he wasn't out of stock and making me really uncomfortable in the process--took me around the store to gather up enough smaller packages to equal 120 pills then tried to charge me full price for each. Um, 1 120 count package is not the same price as 4 30 counts, that's why people buy in bulk. In the end, to his credit, he asked what I wanted to pay and just charged that, but it was a 20 minute process that was completely unnecessary. read more

While all CVS store's in DC are pretty terrible, this one is one of the worst. Staff are rude, unknowledgeable and extremely slow. Oh and they usually only operate the self-checkout lanes which leads to a lot of problems. This is clearly an area of town where self-checkout does not make any sense. My final straw with this store was when they would not accept my extra-care reward coupons with a bulk mailer 25% coupon, despite that no where did it say on any of the coupons that they could not be combined. The employee working that day had the option to override the system and accept them (because I could see this option on the self-checkout screen) but choose not to because it was "policy" and i had reached a "threshold" and it wouldn't except the coupon. When asked, she could neither explain what exactly the threshold was or what the coupon policy was. read more

This pharmacy cannot get it together. I've been filling my prescriptions there monthly for over a year, and they still do not keep them in-stock. This would be less of a problem if they ever called before I made the trip to the pharmacy to let me know that my pills would not be there, but no one there ever does. I'm glad I'm transferring pharmacies and hope my new one communicates with clients. read more

OMG Just when you thought CVS couldn't get worse, it went over the top today. I am not demeaning the CVS staff, because these people were trying to do their best with what hey called a "backlog" (under trying pre-snow jitters). But here's what has happened: I was using their new Rx delivery system and paid for expedited delivery. The app showed it was delivered, but the meds weren't here. CVS was impossible to reach, and then I get a call from the delivery person that she's got to pay for it! Really? CVS is checking into the issue, but it seems unconscionable to force a "gig economy" person who admittedly couldn't pay for it to do so. And I am reimbursing her what could be a double payment. I've had 2 very different experiences here. The first was a female pharmacists going above and beyond to help fill a prescription before I left the country while my new insurance was dropping the ball. Today I arrived at 8 to pick up before work and waited about 10 mins to be told "they're late sometimes." If Yelp allowed zero stars, that would be the rating they deserve. Absolutely awful customer service and the pharmacy is a joke--except it's not funny because it's dangerous. If you go here, check your prescriptions carefully--they've given us the wrong dosages twice. They lose prescriptions regularly, or you call for them to be filled and when you get there they can't find them, then later you get a message on your phone to come get your prescription. We've called and emailed the regional manager to let them know about the problems, but nothing ever changed. Ditto what others have said about long lines, slow checkouts, etc. We switched our prescriptions to another pharmacy and will drive out of our way not to go here for anything. We're so surprised that neighborhood residents will tolerate it! read more

This is the worst store as far as customer service is concerned. The staff does not communicate with the public and the manager is like a bulldog if you bring up a complaint. This is the worst CVS I've ever been to! The staff is extremely rude and condescending. They talk to the customers with a very snide tone. Everyone from the pharmacists to the manager are the most disrespectful people. Not too long ago I came in to pick up a prescription, but the pharmacist told me that she would not give me my prescription because was "tired and wanted to go home". I used to go to this CVS all the time, but after my last encounter when the manager would not scan my CVS mobile card because he did not want to use the manual register and then proceeded to yell at me in front of other customers, I will never go back! They definitely need to fire their current staff and higher people who understand customer service!! read more
