This CVS is beside a metro stop. It has your typical CVS inventory. If you scan your CVS card or enter your phone number, you will get a 20 foot printout of coupons. The pharmacy line was steady and long, even after 5:30pm. It is a decent location. Street parking is challenging.

As always, this location of CVS is out of stock in half its SKUs. Someone needs to be fired.

Like all CVS pharmacies in the greater DC area, this one is an insulting mess to the residents of DC, understaffed with long lines. But this one is particularly bad because their shelves are perpetually empty. I've been to this one four times for basic OTC cold medicine and supplies that stupid DC nanny staters require to be dispensed by a pharmacist. And I'm literally 0-for-4 because each time CVS is out of stock. It's 2017: how hard is it for a national chain to have computer-managed inventory? I finally complained to management and they blamed corporate HQ and said that it's a continuing problem. So I know not to go to this location until Amazon or Walmart buys CVS, fires the deadwood and makes it work.

In the midst of the Bomb Cyclone 2018.

Two things brought me into this particular CVS. Me being thirsty and the building itself. I have been on an Art Deco kick as of late and that has lead me to try to spot the buildings in D.C. that encompass the style. MPD headquarters and the Hecht's building are two of the more exemplary examples. Outside of grandiose edifices like those, D.C. has plenty of apartment buildings, store fronts and commercial strips that capture Art Deco motifs, some more subtly than others. Using HistoryQuest I found out that the building was built in 1936 with a Jarrett C. White as the architect, no George Santmyers but he'll do. For my thirst, I bought a Trumino protein drink. It was clear and not too pricey. I like that there were plenty of self-checkout machines but this particular day, they were all Card Only. Oh well, in and out and a building admired.

My son and I found this bag of pretzels on the shelf here.

I can hear them pickup the phone and automatically hang up with after getting through the automated crap for 5 mins.

They now have "testers" of foundations! Although I unfortunately could not find the testers in the colors I needed. The staff was actually really helpful in providing me make up wipes and even serum/moisturizer samples when I needed a last minute dry skin fix. I also was about to try Vichy which I completely recommend now, and saved me from having unbearable dry skin for the rest of the day. Overall, super impressed with the services that Sephora... woops, I mean CVS offers. It almost reminded me of a drugstore Sephora. I definitely recommend CVS for drugstore beauty needs.

The pharmacist was a foreign bald dude with a slight beard. He should be fired. Was not willing to help with my prescription and clearly does not care about his job or the people his job is intended to cater for. My physician gave me an additional discount for my prescription that works at any CVS. I kindly asked the lady dealing with me if she would be able to apply the discount card. The man immediately interjected and said "We close at 7. Tomorrow." He then followed up with: "you have good insurance. You don't need more discount." Absolute A-Hole comment. Clearly is not happy with his job or life. I ended up just paying the difference because I did not want to deal with him or get into an argument. Truthfully ruined my day. They could've said no and been nice about it and given a reasonable explanation as to why they wouldn't accept it. But the rudeness and attitude was really over the top and is why I am writing this review. Do not go here unless you want to have your day ruined by rude people.

First time I tried to buy the two items on my list, it was noon on a weekday and the store was completely overrun with high school students from next door. Not CVS's fault, but I had to immediately leave, the store was chaos. The second time I tried, my two items, which were in two different locked cases, I had no way of knowing if after pressing the help button, would anyone ever show up to help me? And given I would have to do this twice, I just gave up and left, since no one appeared in a reasonable length of time. They don't have the selection that the Courthouse CVS has, nor are things necessarily in stock. If you're nearby and crave junk food, it's fine, but if you order vitamins for pickup to use up some coupons, you may find that although the CVS app says the vitamins are in stock, it turns out that the vitamins were close to their expiration date, so they will cancel that part of your order. So, do not plan a trip here based on an item appearing to be in stock online. They should have taken the vitamins off the shelf before I ordered if the stock was that old. The Courthouse CVS has more product turnover and fresher inventory. This CVS is for casual visits with low expectations only. Two stars, for the vaccinations I have gotten at the pharmacy, which were convenient and good.

The store is bright, open, well-organized and finally..... a CVS with shelves that are fully stocked with most of your essential items and not locked in cages everywhere! I love it this way and it makes the shopping experience much better and more efficient, than to have to wait, ring a bell, or flag someone down just to unlock cages and shelves to get your items. This is a rarity these days, given all the theft and "snatch n'grabs" going on with CVS locations in the DMV. Another added plus is that there is a MinuteClinic, HealthHub and Pharmacy all located in one at this location, which makes it convenient for getting all your shots, medication's and quick healthcare needs addressed with a nurse on site. Also, the staff here are very friendly and helpful. There were folks on the floor available to point you to anything you needed to find in the store. Not to mention, lots of great sales and this store is the perfect place for 'stacking" those CVS coupons! They truly come in handy and save you a good bit of dollars. I came in here today and stacked a couple of coupons against each other on my items, which saved me over half on my purchase from $78 dollars to $36! Given the location and all the amenities of this CVS, I definitely recommend this store and give them a thumbs up!
