I have been using this CVS pharmacy location for almost 19 years. The location is perfect close to home, plenty of parking, and friendly. However, I am forced to use another location due to the lack of parking. I can no longer utilize the parking lot due to people using the lot to frequent 32 North restaurant next door. It's apparent that CVS is aware of the parking lot issue because there are signs that read illegally parked cars will be towed. When will CVS actually enforce their parking rules? Customers should not have to drive around or be forced to pick up prescriptions before 11:00 am due to the lack of parking. It is now 2:00 in the afternoon and there is absolutely no parking again. read more

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with the UPS drop-off service at the CVS on 1 E Merrick Rd, Valley Stream. On January 5th, between 4:00 and 5:30 PM, an employee named Steve accepted my UPS package and attempted to scan it several times, saying it wasn't going through. He eventually told me everything was completed and that I would receive a confirmation text. I asked if I needed a receipt and was told the text would be my confirmation. I never received anything. When I returned three days later, another employee (Senela) checked the UPS scanner and said my name wasn't there. I was given no explanation and was told to call UPS and even T-Mobile, as if the issue wasn't their responsibility. Later that same day, I returned with the tracking number. I was told the UPS driver already picked up the package and that cameras would be checked. I was asked to come back, then told they "didn't have time." UPS scans every package they pick up. My tracking still shows "label created," which means the package never entered the system. If the cameras are reviewed, they will clearly show the package being accepted by CVS -- the issue is what happened afterward. There was no ownership, no follow-up, and no effort to help. This location should not be trusted with package drop-offs. read more

This one will be short. I promise. Many villagers refer to here as "that ghetto CVS" NoLie! I was completely taken aback the first I heard and and really sad because staff here has always been very kind and helpful to me. It's mainly self check-out and you're lucky to see an actual cashier behind a till. However there's always a member of staff monitoring the self-checkout and they're very quick to assist if there's any issues. The only ghetto I've witnessed here has unfortunately been from us the public. We don't know how to behave (I use "we" very loosely) so we embarrass ourselves with the unnecessary shouting when on a PRIVATE call, cursing at each other, throwing merchandise on the floor and sometimes I'm confused as to where I am when I see a mess and expect to hear "welcome to family dollar". You can pick up the N1 bus going to Elmont /Hempstead turnpike or the Green Acres Mall at the stop outside. I love their generic, affordable brands especially as their daily motion sicknss pill in particular works even better than the original for me. If CVS has it and I need it bet your bottom dollar my pocket loves it. It's a CVS so there's not much to review as I'm sure you know what's available here. You don't? Google it. The End. read more

My name is Beverly & I am a frequent customer at this location. This evening 4/1/24 I visited CVS at 44 N. Central Ave. I needed to go to the pharmacy, upon entering the store the line was extremely long maybe 15 people or so,because I use a cane I was able to sit and wait my turn. The gentleman in front of me made a comment about the fact there wasn't enough staff to accommodate the many people waiting , immediately after he stated that a woman named Marsha told the gentleman who was going to take the person in front of me that he could not take any more people, I learned later she's not a manager and had no authority over anyone yet she told him he could he could not take any more people that left one person, when people begin to complain she simply stated "you just have to wait", & she said it more than once when other customers chimed in.Where was the customer service? there's a number of ways that could have been addressed, how about I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Would you mind waiting a little longer and I'll be able to serve you. She was rude, arrogant and condescending, someone should teach her how to treat the public that supports that particular pharmacy. CVS did not look good at all. Let me add that the other areas of service in the store are handled properly, the pharmacy is the issue. Customer Service is extremely important in a competitive business environment. Please address this so other customers don't not have this experience. read more

This CVS only gets 2 Stars because the Pharmacy department that's 24 hours. This store is always in a disarray when you walk in. Half of the time they have what you looking for and the other half they don't. So depending on what you shopping for you might get lucky and find it. The photo department is a straight mess. I always order my photos online and I get the email confirmation that they are ready for pick up. However, when I get there they haven't even been processed yet and this happen on more then one occasion. I must admit the Hallmark section here is pretty awesome. They have every type of card and such a large variety. The pharmacy. Oh boy where do I start. The lines are always long and sometimes you wait online for almost 30 mins. I absolutely hate when I have certain prescription that aren't covered by insurance they look at me as if I can't afford to pick up the medicine. I'm assuming it's a one questioned they all have been taught to ask. Because they all ask the same thing. Ms do you have a new insurance card because it's not going through? And my same response. NO, I pay cash for it. There are 2 reasons why I continue to go here. They are open 24 hours and they always have what you need. It's very rare the have to order it from another store. read more

This CVS pharmacists are horrible. my doctor called in a prescription la week ago. I go to pick it up and the pharmacist said she did not order it because the cost was over 200. the Berber of her making an assumption that I could not afford the meds. I asked her to order it and she said it would be in on Friday. I go back on Friday it was not ordered and told it would be there on Monday. my husband calls today and was told they have deliveries to unpack and they hung up on him. I spoke with Mercer this evening wxplained my situation and asked for the name of the store manager and she hung up on me! I will Never use them. I have transferred all my prescription elsewhere. the customer service is horrible! if I needed that medication to live I would be in deep trouble! is there a rating leas than one star? read more

Just spent 40mins inside the pharmacy waiting for an eye drop. I saw about 6 people come in and out and my prescription was ready at 8:07 apparently according to the receipt on the bag and no one bothered to let me know my eye drop was ready. Meanwhile I have my infant in the cry crying over an eye injury. Zero stars to this place. read more

Came here around 3am to put in a prescription. This CVS has a 24 hour pharmacy.. But oh my gosh it is slow. I would say it took about 30 minutes just for them to do it. I was behind another couple and even they were complaining also. 30 minutes per customer? Nah man. I dont know how fast they are during normal hours , but all I know is that the late night staff is slow. Hopefully that will change. Other than that, the store is clean and organized. Very spacious, but there isn't enough people on the floor to check you out when your ready. You have to go looking for them. read more

This pharmacy needs to be placed under new management. Every single time you attempt to call, of course, no one answers. After waiting in the pharmacy line for 20 minutes and still not having gotten any closer to the counter, I gave up and walked out, as the mob scene getting angry at the pharmacy staff wasn't giving me confidence that the night would end well. This has been my pharmacy for over 20 years... the pharmacy is always the same (the people are becoming nicer) before you were just another prescription now you're kinda dealing with humans haha... best way I can explain it. The store always looks like they are out of stock.. sometimes there are so many workers and then there are most days when it's like "does anyone work here" (referring to the actual store not the pharmacy).... I gave it 3 stars bc of the pharmacy. The parking lot is small (when it snows parking spaces are limited).... sometimes cvs generally has good sales and sometimes you're like what is going on?? Their coupon machine actually worked the last couple times I've been here, so kudos haha.... that's all I have to say about this place... ppl should be smiling and friendly it's known as a pharmacy so ppl need to see a smile or feel like they're human... read more

Unethical and rude. There was 2 pharmacist sitting on there phone. No customers in the store. My prescription was called in and in there system for 30 minutes. They had everything to fill it and give it. They made me wait 45 minutes Instead of giving me my sons medicine. I explained that I need it now. They acknowledge they have it but I need to wait. I think I have been calling this cvs for 45 minuets both the pharmacy and the store . No one ever picked up the phone. I came in today to fill my prescription, as well as purchased a few other products When I arrived home I realized that the tech never gave me my 4 prescriptions. Pharmacy department is great. Quick and easy refills over the phone. They also call you and remind you when a prescription is ready for pick up. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I needed a glucometer for my mother and they only had one available in stock. They were able to put that aside for me until i come pick it up. read more

I've given my feedback to this store many times. I don't think the franchise owner see the reviews. He or she should be ashamed of themselves. I won't go in here anymore. I had my RX filled here for 15 years; shopped here regularly. The dirt, lack of staffing and broken equipment finally made the decision for me. If you get near the photo department it looks like a cemetery of broken equipment. Sad since the location is convenient. I feel bad for the employees here. read more

Poor Experience at CVS pharmacy that i've been going to for years. Employee kept me waiting for about 10-15 mins while engaging in a conversation with a customer and did not acknowledge anyone else waiting in line. Did not try to end the conversation or do anything to accommodate the rest of the customers. Poor customer service skills!! Horrible CVS! The pharmacist tech was rude to me! Embarrassed me in front of other customers. I simply had questions regarding my son's prescription. I was very upset and shaken.... Worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. My dad had open heart surgery and his first night home we tried to use a nebulizer we picked up at another CVS but it didn't work. At 9pm our CVS was closed so we come here because it's 24 hours. We encounter a taller heavy set blonde woman who tells us they can't exchange it because they don't carry nebulizers and the prescription was filled another location. I can totally undersand that there's nothing they can do. But when I vented that for a 24 hour CVS pharmacy not to carry everything that a regular hours pharmacy carries because emergencies can happen at any time, I told her "It doesn't really make sense." Her response to me was "Yeah well, alot of stuff that happens around this place doesn't make sense just deal with it." Had anybody else (cashier, boss, floor person) in the store said that I wouldn't have paid any mind. But for someone in her position to say something like that, she shouldn't be handling people's medication with that kind of attitude. Who knows what else she's doing back there? read more
