It's 2026, and we are all worried about our future with AI. After my visit yesterday, I look forward to AI replacing the incompetent employees at this CVS. I needed toothpaste, since it is locked up, I pushed the customer service 4X, each time hearing the automated response, assistance needed. I gave up, and went to self checkout. Among the items I wanted to purchase was cough syrup. An alert went out for customer assistance to verify I was old enough to purchase that item. 25 minutes later, I was finally approved, and allowed to pay for my order. I'm 70 years old. I have no doubt our future will be better with AI replacing the dim wits employeed at CVS. read more

They have a 24-7 pharmacy, busy spot late at night. While they don't have everything in the aisles, you can check their cold medicines by glancing over the counter (they don't have the little cards in the aisles like Summit or other locations), so not all medicines are available in a locked cabinet which can be confusing. read more

This CVS is somehow exceeded how bad CVS can be. No matter what I call about the pharmacy never does anything they say they will. Ive called 4 times to make this my primary store and every-time a prescription comes in it goes to the old store because this location doesn't actually change it in their system. ( believe me I tried to do it online. It doesn't work.) Ive called to get my pets medication and they cannot figure out how to find it. Even after me, confirming with the vets office twice and giving them all the necessary information to locate the order. I've had multiple people in the pharmacy promise to call me back and not follow through. Nothing is urgent or serious to them and I'm going to be switching pharmacy brands soon. No matter how many texts I get saying my prescription is ready without fail it is never actually ready. They have random non medical professionals behind the counter that are inexperienced, cannot answer questions and make the line consistently 20+ minutes to get through because they are not properly trained. read more

As so many other reviews have pointed out in their reviews, the pharmacy is deplorable. I needed a prescription filled but this location and many other locations had zero stock for my prescription. I contacted a mom n pop pharmacy who had my prescription. Upon my arrival at mom n pop, the pharmacist said the CVS at 2287 Morris Avenue NJ is the worst to get someone on the phone. Mom n pop left messages with zero phone call(s) returned and adding insult to injury the pharmacist admitted to mom n pop they rarely play voicemails. I also called and no one answered. I visited the CVS location today to inquire and I was met with 'I don't care attitude' from the pharmacist, Aziz (spelling) and I can always transfer my prescriptions elsewhere. What if I weren't mobile enough or walked or aged, etc. Aziz relayed 'short staffed'. The world is short staffed and it is not the manner in which to acknowledge the treatment to mom n pop or anyone else. I asked who can I discuss this serious issue and Aziz replied call 1 (800) 746-7287. I contacted the number relaying the treatment and the rep, Erica sounded astounded at the treatment and has filed my complaint to upper management for this region. It took me a while to find the worst pharmacy in NJ, but I think I've done it! Wait in line me for an hour, the pharmacist finally finds your script....wait 45 minutes to fill it, then be told to wait on another line for another half hour to pay for it. That was fun read more

Worst pharmacy ever, I'm a disable Army veteran and they couldn't figure how to bill the VA, as a result they questioned my eligibility, asking for a different VA ID and all kind of odd questions. At the end they told that since is Sunday nobody will answer at the VA (idk why they need to call them up for).) the pharmacy supervisor told me just to pay for the prescription and come back tomorrow if I wanted my money back, which I assure him that as a 100% disable veteran (in a lot of pain) don't need to pay for it, he just gave a bad attitude and said well you want your medicine or not? read more

Open 24/7. Both the store and the pharmacy. That's the story here. It's easier to get into and out of the parking lot at this location, than the one close to Springfield near Miesel Ave. It gets pretty busy if you go during rush hour. I recommend going in the middle of the night. Unfortunately there are no self-serve checkout stations. The cashier people are fine to deal with, though. Prescription pick-up here is ok, as long as you aren't in a terrible hurry. read more

I came here looking for a birthday card after striking out at the other giant mega corporate pharmacy down the street (you know who I'm talking about). I have to say, they were pretty picked through. This was actually the second time that I went to CVS to get a birthday card in the last week (I have lots of kids birthday parties these days) and the CVS in West Orange had no cards either. They definitely need to do a better job restocking. The store itself was clean and well organized, and the staff was friendly, so no problems there. I just wish they would keep better track of their inventory. I guess I need to plan ahead better so I can go to Papyrus or Hallmark. read more

This pharmacy is absolutely horrible. Month after month I have had issues with my Rx, and they never did anything to rectify. Time and time again they filled the wrong prescription and/or didn't place the order in on time - today was the last straw when I was told they "deactivated" my Rx due to me transferring it to a CVS in Chatham last month (because THEY didn't order the refill in time for the day I needed it!) I never write reviews but with my experiences and wasted time over the last year and 8 months have been INCREDIBLY frustrating. read more

Worst pharmacy staff I ever encountered. My prescription was transferred from Walgreens at 4:30pm. Cvs told me it would be ready in 30 min. I gave them 3 hours and when I called and "intern" told me they had nothing for me & that Walgreens told them their system was down & they would call them back. Meanwhile Walgreens had never said that, and my prescription was sent over hours prior. I come to cvs and it's still not not ready. The lady Gail asks me to sit in the parking lot and come back when I get a text. If Walgreens sent my prescription hours ago why isn't it done? Why is a stupid ass intern giving me wrong info on my important medicine? The lady at the window was so inconsiderate and nonchalant. Had it been their sick family member they'd care some more. Definitely gonna speak to the manager cause this could happen to someone with a way worse illness and CANT BE PLAYED WITH. read more

24 Hour CVS is the go-to late night emergency stop. Excellent selection of munchies and books too. I always spend too much in here. Always and adventure since it's near a college campus. Saturday night stoners out for grub keep me amused. read more

Terrible place. Worked there since September and there is no professionalism at all. Overly priced products that sometimes are expired and put up anyways. The employees are rude and have no ethic. Hated that place and my advice to people: go to walgreens. read more

This CVS is not great. It's not the worst one I've ever been to, but it's not the best either. I will have to attribute the higher rating to the fact that they seem to have made improvements in their wait times in the pharmacy. Earlier this year, I would have to bring a bottle of water and go to the bathroom before waiting on line because it would seriously take THAT long. The techs used to be very abrupt and borderline rude. Now, I'm usually done in 5 minutes picking up a prescription. The techs are very friendly and apologetic about the wait. Great CVS location. The staff is friendly and help tot he best of their ability. This is a pharmacy, not amazon prime. They deal with drugs and YOUR LIFE. These things take time as they review your medication and check for accuracy. You won;t believe the errors they have caught on scripts written by my MD. Yea there is a wait but as I said it is a pharmacy not fast food. The pharmacists here also go out of their way to provide recommendations and are very knowledgeable. I always leave here learning something new. These guys are open even on holidays and are still in a pleasant mood. Keep it up guys. read more

This is the first time in a long time that I used CVS pharmacy. NEVER AGAIN! It took 20min to speak to a person in the department after being hung up on while I was on hold. When I finally was able to speak with someone I was put on hold 4x's. That should have been a red flag. When we were able to pick up our scripts they ALL turned out to be the wrong ones. ALL 4 scripts. When we tried contacting the Pharmacy we were on hold for almost 1/2hour. This has got to be the WORST pharmacy in town. With the WORST customer service. Despite my disagreement with Walgreens, I am going back to them instead of staying with CVS. I have never been so aggravated in the short amount of time (3days) as much as I am with CVS. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. read more

Ok, I have to say the reason I use this location is purely convenience. Its very frustrating that your Physician call in a prescription and hours and hours later it is not ready. The poor Pharmacy tech is left to tell the customers that the PharmD has not checked the voice mail yet..MY solution for this extremely busy location id more help and now! You can not convince me that CVS can't man a location this busy! OK so it's not Short Hills or even Cranford for that matter but our time is just as valuable. I'm sorry for my tirade. We use this pharmacy only for its location and convenience. Customer service is seriously lacking. Prescriptions are NEVER ready when they should be. The pharmacy techs are not willing to check the status of the prescription when called. All this leads to endless frustration and unnecessary trips. read more
