I called today and was automatically put on hold without even talking to someone first. I stayed on hold for 15 minutes until taking a different phone and calling again. It took them 6 hours to fill a prescription which consisted of 14 antibiotic tablets. When I got there, there was a line of 5 people. It took 45 minutes to get each one of those people their medications that had already been filled. They only had one person at the cash register. There was another girl but she was sitting at the drive thru window waiting for customers to drive by, even though nobody was there! Hello, help the line of people who are actually there! When I got to the front of the line the tech loudly stated where my infection was so that everyone in CVS could hear; I mean have you heard of HIPPA?! She told me since it was a new medication I had to receive a consult from the pharmacist but it would take another 15 minutes and I said hell no and left with my medication; I can read the label just fine. Honestly it would've taken less time to call them (if they'd answer their phone) and transfer my prescription to Walgreens down the road and pick it up within 15 minutes there. If you need any kind of medication for an emergency, this is not the place to go. read more

The absolute worst place to get prescriptions filled- waited for over an hour passed when they said it would be ready- told to wait because they had to work out insurance for the 3rd time- then the pharmacist goes out to lunch so it would be another 30 mins- horrible customer service- go somewhere else if you can!! read more

Most of the same complaints as the ones already posted here. We believe in customer service and the service has not been great here. Telling customers to calm down when they are trying to explain a situation mix-up with the doctor's office and insurance is not cool. Instead of listening to the problem, told me I was wrong and dismissed the information I have to give. read more

The pharmacy techs are always helpful. Frequently, the line is long - both inside and drive thru. My biggest complaint is the inconsistency of the way prescriptions are filled. Sometimes the RULE about controlled meds being filled every 30 days ( regardless of what the doc orders) is followed stringently, other times 21 days is okay. Same prescription, even same pharmacist filling. I've pointed out the discrepancies and been given the part line about the RULE. Fine, then follow the RULE. Of course this does not allow for travel or other issues. But then sometimes all is okay and the prescription gets filled with a smile. I have requested at least 6 times to have "not child resistant" caps on my meds (my hands are too weak most days). Again, hit and miss. About half the time I get what I need. I've learned to keep my own supply so I don't have to pester someone to open my bottles for me. And, no I don' t want auto-fills, no matter how many times you do it anyway and personally call me about it. Just fill my prescriptions when I call or my doc does. I have changed as many of my meds as possible to Rite-Aide, unfortunately I can't use some of their generics, or all of my orders would be moved. CVS gets 2 stars because of the techs, they do try hard, given the circumstances. read more

The worst! They never answer their phones, on hold forever! They take forever filling prescriptions and most of the time it isn't ready when it is promised. I called their corporate office and was told I couldn't file a complaint because a pharmacy complaint could only be filed thru one specific department. And that department just closed 15 minutes ago. Such so slow service! Always busy yet one register open. My doctor called in my prescription at 9:30 am and when I went in at 1:20pm was still not ready. Told me in five minutes it will be ready. In tbat time there was 6 or 7 people in line, but with one register. read more

This has got to be the worst pharmacy I have ever been to the doctor calls in the Rx at 230 when I go to pick it up at 645 the rude lady says oh they will start it 20 more min the in 20 min they tell me my sick sons meds will be next. The last time they were so rude the pharmacist hung up on the pharmacist from Walgreen's when I was transferring his antibiotics they yelled at the lady in drive through and told a lady on the phone if she calls again they will not help he ever. The wait time at the pharmacy is insane!!!! And it is poorly set up. The waiting area chairs are right next to the counter you get your meds. This poor woman and her kids had lice and now all of Turlock knows that. Zero privacy. read more

This is definitely not your "family owned business" type of business which is sort of confusing because all the pharmacy employees (with a few exceptions) act like they own the place and have no one to answer to. After all complaints and issues, the same people are still there. I know this place is under new management (frank and eilbra) but without getting ride of terrible workers that disrespect customers, they will continue to lose customers. I personally let management know I would be leaving due to repeated issues and a few issues that caused me my health ....in particular my last incident with a pharmacy tech named Christina(not the nice assyrian one) If you don't want to work in a job to help people then you shouldn't have become a pharmacy tech....it's that simple. I put God first, then doctors and then for them to make me better, I need my medication which means I need CVS to do their job. If they can simply understand that when Urgent care sends over a prescription it should be filled ASAP, hence, the URGENT part. This is the worse pharmacy I have ever been to and would not recommend this place to anyone even if it was your last resort. You are better off driving 30 mins to modesto and finding a different pharmacy if all the other pharmacies in Turlock for some random reason are closed. I wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

This place is the worst. They are always understaffed and out of medications. Their attitude is, who cares if there is a long line, I'm here for my shift and then I'm leaving. They have no concern or helpfulness. Unfortunately, my company doesn't give me a choice as to which pharmacy I can use. Since my insurance is no longer working with Walgreens, which I am deeply sadden, I had to switch to CVS. I don't go to the pharmacy unless I have to and I am writing this review due to 2 AWFUL experiences and will no longer be going back. Can' t let the 3rd time fool me! You would think 24/7 is great. Dropped off my prescription night before (long line) and since there were a ton of ppl waiting didn't want to wait so I was informed it would be ready the next day. Perfect, right? Nope! On my way to work, I stopped by to pick up my prescription using the drive thru and i was the first car there. Total time was 30 minutes only to find out that prescription couldn't be located and I would need to return back. OMG! Second time around I had the same experience with prescription not filled although I received an automated call that it was ready. Crazy! Not going to waste my time or money there for such poor service. read more

The pharmacy employees are friendly, but it is ridiculously slow. For example, I dropped off a prescription and they told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. I left and went to the lab to have blood drawn, and then went back to pick up my prescription (at least 30 minutes later). They told me it would be another 15 minutes. 2 hours later, I left with my prescription. I requested a prescription refill today and 10:30 a. m. It is now almost 12 hours later, and it's still not ready. If they're really that busy, they need to hire more employees. I don't understand how -5 minutes turns into 2 hours (and for some people, it's been 4). read more

This CVS was totally out of both generic and brand name acetomenophen drops for infants. How does that happen? It's like a grocery store being out of bread. I have had several problems with CVS' actual pharmacy department in the past and this is the last straw. I will not be patronizing CVS stores again. I have to make another trip to a different store with an infant with a 101 fever to get a product that should ALWAYS be in stock at a major pharmacy. read more

The below comments are about the CVS at Geer by Monte Vista. I would give a ZERO if it's available. It is the worst pharmacy I have ever seen, and it's getting worse. The pharmacy staff are non-professional (no adequate knowledge, not polite, and not even having a common sense, let alone serving customers), and most of them are temps. Every phone call needs to wait for more than 15 minutes, and some took more than 30. One of the staff (young man) even hung up my call because he simply could not solve a problem. One of the drive-thru pick-up stations has been broken for more than 3 months and it's still not fixed. However, most store staff are pleasant, greeting you when you going in, and do make you feel welcome. But the manager needs to do something about the pharmacy (if he/she can), otherwise it will have more complaints. Adding additional service like Curbside Pickup is great but will not solve the problems in the Pharmacy. I am going to switch to another Pharmacy. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They never have prescriptions ready. Around 8am this morning I refilled one by phone to be picked up at 3pm. When I went to CVS at 4:30 I had to wait 20 minutes while they filled it then. I had a few other items in hand when they finally called and the pharmacy worker rung only the prescription up. When I said I would apparently need to go to the front to purchase the other items she said "oh you needed to pay for those?" Such a poorly run pharmacy. read more

If there was a zero star option...I'd use it. Both my daughter and I have upper respiratory infections. My husband works near this cvs so we thought we'd have the dr send the rx there so we could go home and get rest. The rx were sent over at 9am. At 1:30pm he went to get them. He gave them the insurance info and was then told the rx weren't ready yet, it would be another half hour???? Wth?!?! Really?!?!? Ok, he went back to his office. He went back at 3:45 and they only had part of the rx ready!!! They said "this rx wasn't here earlier" oh yes it was. Well it will be another 30mins for this rx. Then they NEVER ran it through the insurance. Completely irresponsible pharmacy staff. I will be filing a complaint with cvs corporate and also the insurance company. read more

I cannot express my level of dissatisfaction with this pharmacy. They give me a time to return and then when I do, they need an hour more. This has happened to me several times now. It's like they suddenly realized that I actually needed the prescription. Also, prepare to be on hold forever when you call. Today, the main number to the store has been busy for over five hours. The last time I went inside only to have the young clerk at the front of the store check her text messages and text back in the middle of checking me out. She said, "Sorry, I'm going through a lot right now." There are a few members of the pharmacy staff that have gone above and beyond, seeming to understand that the culture of over-promising and under-delivering is frustrating for their customers. Not a fan of the CVS on Geer. I go to school in La Jolla and I transferred my prescription for birth control over to a CVS there from the Rite Aid on Monte Vista. I came home for the holidays and my CVS in La Jolla said I needed to call the nearest CVS, ask for a temporary transfer, and they would be able to fill my prescription here. I called today and they said it would be no problem and that it would be ready at 3 PM. I went around 6 PM to get my prescription and they said there was a hold on my prescription, and continued to repeatedly ask me if I had changed insurances or if I had already filled it in La Jolla. They made it seem like it was my fault that their was a miscommunication in their system and I felt unaccommodated for. After they were on hold for ten minutes with the La Jolla CVS, they finally worked it out and gave me my prescription after about twenty total minutes of interrogation and confusion. Would recommend picking another pharmacy altogether. read more

I have never had a pleasant experience at this pharmacy. The staff are completely incompetent at their jobs. I had a prescription sent to their pharmacy. The first tech told me that with my insurance the medication would be $150+. I tried explaining that it could not be true since it was completely covered by my insurance at Walgreens. She wouldn't budge so I left. I called CVS later to tell them to send my prescription to Walgreens. The tech that I spoke to on the phone said "well this prescription is completely covered so we can fill this for you for free." This is exactly what I tried telling the first tech!!! And yesterday I called to refill my prescription. The tech I spoke to on the phone said to come on down since it was ready already. I drove 15 minutes there and wait in the drive through line for 15+ minutes. The lady at the window said it was in fact not ready and to come back in two hours. Two hours later- still not ready. Don't waste your time at this pharmacy. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!!! First of all trying to get thru to the pharmacist is a complete waste of time. In a 45 minute period I was on hold 8 times, before I called the store and asked to speak with the manager, asking if there was anyone working in the pharmacy that day (a Wednesday). He put me on hold to check out the phone lines...then I was placed on hold AGAIN and waited several minutes before being helped. Once I was assured that my prescription was going to be available for pick up that afternoon I drove there, only to wait A LONG TIME in the drive thru to pick it up. Two cars were ahead of me, but I waited at least 15 minutes! I will be transferring my prescriptions and NOT entering that store again. read more
