I have gotten incorrect notifications of my meds being ready from this cvs location a total of 5 times. One of these times was actually ridiculous and I'm switching locations soon. I went in person after someone cut in front of me in the long ass drive through. They need a bigger parking lot/drive through space. I needed my anxiety medicine and had zero pills left. My doctor transferred my prescription on April 28th to cvs, and I went in on May 12th, two weeks later, and they still hadn't filled it. They told me I could wait 20 minutes or come back later in the day. This was around 1 pm. I had my mom get it for me after she got off work because I was so frustrated. I got a text saying my prescription was filled and ready for pick up at 5:45 and my mom went to cvs at 6:15. She went inside and they said she could either wait 20 minutes or come back later. My mom was angry as expected and told her I came in earlier and was told the same thing. The lady said sorry but didn't seem to genuinely mean it. I don't see why prescriptions that should've been filled 2 weeks ago take over 50 hours to fill. I should've been higher up on the priority list since they messed up and my medicine was overdue. read more

Let me just start with this: if you depend on medicine, pharmacies play a large roll in your life. I was unfortunate enough to not have insurance for the last couple of months. Jennifer was excellent on the phone helping meet my needs. I am very happy with their service and will keep them as my main Pharmacy for a long time!! Many pharmacies have disappointed me with getting my prescriptions wrong, bad customer service, or screwing me on the insurance fills. I went to this CVS to use their Kodak photo kiosk. (I'm happy they have them open right now!) When I arrived the machine was not booted up all the way. They had turned it on but didn't follow through with the instructions. I went ahead and pushed OK and it finished up and came on. The woman behind the counter acted like she didn't want to mosey 3 feet around the counter to look at the machine. After waiting for the machine to turn on all the way I went to scan my photos... but there was no scan option. Which I said out loud several times. I then looked at the scanner and at the worker who was just on the other side of the counter and said, "is the scanner not working?" And she goes "yeah the scanners down." And I was just thinking... it would have been nice for you to let me know before I stood here for 10 minutes with photos literally in my hands waiting. She was lazy and came off rude. Didn't say have a nice day or anything. Just not good manners in general let alone good customer service. read more

I wish there was a 0 star option. I have a chronic illness, I get the same medication every month. This is supposed to be the hub CVS for Baltimore, but they are, without fail, out of it. Every. Single. Month. This month was the final straw-- I called to see if they had it, gave the quantity, and they said they did. Drive over there, and the same silly idiot of a pharmacist says "oh gosh, we don't have that much!" I gave her the quantity on the phone, but no, she doesn't actually check, she just gives the wrong information! Nor will they order it ahead of the prescription, even though they know I'll be coming in with the same one every month. They have also put the wrong information on my prescriptions, the wait is ridiculous, the counter staff seems clueless, in general it seems incredibly mismanaged for what's supposed to be the biggest volume CVS pharmacy in Baltimore. Very friendly staff all around and this CVS had an exceptional card selection but oh. My. god. They had No sense of time at the pharmacy. I liked their sense of humor but if they say it's going to be one minute it WILL be 30-45 minutes. We have been loyal CVS customers for over a decade. Our experience has been consistently good during that time. We moved to Towson a year ago, and the pharmacy at CVS on York Road is run poorly. Recently, I was promised a prescription by a certain time, came to the drive-through AFTER that time, was told they were backed up and if I came in and waited for 5 or 10 minutes, they'd have it ready. I waited over an hour. A week or so later, same thing; but when they told me at the drive-through the same thing, I said, "will it really be 5-10 minutes? Last time it was an hour." The gentleman told me he couldn't promise, so I just drove home (and had to make another trip back). I spoke with the pharmacy manager the next morning (she wasn't in that night), and she said she would talk to the employees, and I hope that she did. But there's no excuse for that happening; promising something and not delivering is a cardinal sin in customer service, and to have it happen twice ticked me off. Yet that's not all: this week, upon dropping off a prescription, I was told to call the next day to make sure the shipment arrived. I was told it did. I came late in the evening with my young son (who was supposed to be in bed shortly), expecting to pick up the prescription I was told was available. I was then informed that they only could give it to people who had been taking this drug as their shipments were limited. Needless to say, I was upset and talked to the manager. He explained what happened, BUT WAS NOT THE LEAST BIT APOLOGETIC. Only after threatening to take our business elsewhere and explaining what I was promised did he say that he was "obliged" to provide the prescription for me. Again, not the least bit concerned about my inconvenience and trouble, which is poor customer service, particularly since this was their oversight. I waited about 45 minutes this time. I can accept that on occasion things happen that are out of a business's control, but these three incidents in a relatively short period of time are inexcusable. I can promise that they will lose our business with the next incident. For goodness sake, there is a Walgreen's across the street and a Safeway pharmacy across the parking lot. I find it hard to believe that I'm the only one with this type of experience at this CVS (actually, I know it's not the case, because during the first incident, there were many others in the store who were also upset). My family has been a loyal and frequent customer of CVS' various pharmacies since my oldest son was born ten year ago with multiple, severe medical issues. Every single day, we give him at least 12-16 pills, liquid suspensions and topical creams spread out through multiple doses every few hours. From living in LA, to visiting family in the San Francisco Bay Area and visiting (and now living) here in Baltimore we have been to more CVS pharmacies than I can recall. This pharmacy in Towson is by far the worst we have ever experienced. It has been my personal policy to only write good reviews to support and showcase local, small and/or independent businesses and restaurants. I don't write mediocre reviews because I feel they don't help anybody. I almost never write bad reviews unless I feel strongly that people should know, and this is one of those cases. On any given day (since I am there several times a month) there are anywhere between 4-9 people staffing the pharmacy. I'm not exactly what the flow issue is, but more than once it has taken me about half an hour to DROP OFF a prescription. Several times, after receiving phone messages and texts that prescriptions were ready, as stated already in other reviews they were not ready for me. Most recently, one of our most common medications which normally has a $20 co-pay, rang up as $70. When the cashier stated my total at the drive through, I told him that this was "way more than we usually pay... we usually pay $20 and now it's $70?" He looked at be square in the eye with no expression and shrugged his shoulders. I talked to the pharmacist who referred me to our own insurance with no answers still. The next day I went back to clarify and try and figure out the discrepancy, and when I told the woman inside at the register that I was trying to see why there was suddenly a $50 increase on a medication with no change in insurance, she literally said "I don't understand what you are asking me, what is the problem?" I am a nurse by profession, and I know in any given field (not just healthcare) that sometimes things are busy and people are waiting but don't realize there are other, sometimes more critical priorities. I understand this, and every month I go back again and again hoping that my cumulative experiences here are just a fluke. Every time I am met with the consistent service I am so disappointed with. I will say that our few interactions with the actual pharmacists have always been great, and the store itself and store staff have always been friendly and very helpful. The recent addition of local Maryland/Baltimore items is also very cool. I am just struck with now significantly different our experience here has been versus the 10-15 other CVS pharmacies that we have used or visited over the years across the United States. read more

This drugstore is understaffed and runs out of prescriptions for six weeks at a time. No excuses no substitutions they tell you to go to other drugstores. If you're picking up prescription plan to be in the store for at least half an hour. read more

Worst customer service EVER. Without a doubt every single month they get my prescription wrong. I am supposed to get 3 packs of birth control every three months. I visited this location 7/25/2021 around 10:10 pm, when I walked in I saw an employee standing in the aisle. I walked in and grabbed what I needed and proceeded to the register. Once I got to the front of the store, the employee was not there and there was no one else in the store. So I proceed to go to self checkout but they were shut down and not working. The young lady comes up and I told her was ready to check out and looked confused. I asked, are you working the register, she informed me, the customer, that she has clocked out and not sure who was working the register. As I am explaining to her how unprofessional this is another young lady walks in the door, apparently she was just running late to work, but she added her 2 cents, about me using the self checkout, and and told her they are turned OFF!! And confused young lady, shared she shut them down. This is unprofessional at the least, staff should be trained to not clock out until their relief has arrived. It was just so many ways that this could have been handled and everyone did it the wrong way and on top of that CVS lost a customer that night due to stupidity. SMH read more

At last! A 24-hour CVS Pharmacy where the actual prescription part of the establishment is open around the clock. Curiously, this is not the case for most such stores so cherish this neighborhood gem's terrific hours to get last-minute or urgent prescriptions, a late-night gallon of milk, or on-the-fly greeting card. read more

I always end up at this CVS because it is the only one in the neighborhood that is open 24/7. And thank goodness they are! The staff is nice, especially the one older gentleman who works there. He always strikes up a convo with me and makes sure I get the best deals on the products I am looking for. What a nice nice man :) the shelves are always stocked and the store is pretty clean. I think this pharmacy is trying to kill me. The first prescription I picked up had a serious interaction with 2 of my daily meds. Good thing I read the insert before taking it, as the pharmacist missed it. I returned it. The replacement drug was dispensed as 'take 6 tablets by mouth' rather than 1 tablet daily for 6 days (as instructed by my doctor). Hmm...interaction or overdose? Too bad this is the closest 24 hour pharmacy when I need medication after hours of my regular pharmacy. read more

Only been going there forever and they are very persistent on filling my prescription wrong each and every time even after I have asked them to stop doing so multiple times and each time they say they are going to note my account...today was the last straw, they gave me the wrong prescription yet again and I asked for the store manager and he did absolutely nothing! I sent a sick patient out in the middle of the night to get a Rx from this location. I was told the med would be ready in 45 minutes. My patient gets there and they don't even have it in stock. pharmacist told me to send them to Dundalk as they "may have it" and wouldn't even bother to check on it. She'd rather send a sick person on an hour long drive. Very disappointed in the care here for my patient! read more

The people working at this pharmacy are SO RUDE. I've witnessed them being disrespectful to the elderly, and they have been rude and impatient with me . Along with being rude, I had a script sent to this pharmacy a month ago and they just let it sit there without saying anything to me or even caring if I got it. Now I finished the rest of my script and I had to call just to find out it had been sitting there since April 12th and they didn't have it so they needed to order it. I dropped my prescription off over an hour ago was told it would take an hour waited an hour checked in on my script and they said it hasn't been processed and will be another 45 mins. I had a terrible experience with the pharmacy last night. I went in because a storm forced me to not be able to travel, so I could not get home to my medication. This was on Sunday, January 18th, 2015. I think the pharmacists assistant who helped me first was named "David," he looks like a 6'1" shaved bird. He argued with me that the reason he couldn't help me was because what I was asking was against the law. What DaveBird doesn't know is that I helped write the law. I assured him he was wrong as he throated gummy worms, that's when the Pharmacist, Mr. Patel, chimed in. "It's not illegal. It's pharmacist discretion." he said. So I asked to talked to the pharmacist, he assures me that he will not help me. I plead with him shortly, explaining what happens to my body physically when I do not take this medicine. It's dangerous for me and anyone on the road while I'm driving. Well I guess, Mr. Patel found it funny because he proceeded to laugh directly into my face!! It was pretty embarrassing to be laughed at in front of other customers and DaveBird. I'll never go there again for sure, at least not the pharmacy. Thumbs down! P.S.
