This is our go-to CVS Pharmacy for my family and me! It's conveniently close to our home, which makes quick trips so easy. The store is always clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. This is the most spacious location I've been to. Usually CVSs are packed tightly with inventory which can make shopping overwhelming and distracting for some. I'm torn because I hate writing bad reviews, but CVS Corporate, you guys need to amend your phone system. I was hung up on multiple times by your AI bot who couldn't understand my "inquiry". Also, if the caller isn't a current pharmacy customer with a vaild DOB, the bot won't even connect to the pharmacy. I was stuck in a horrible phone loop nightmare. I had to finally word my "inquiry" just right so the bot would transfer me to a human being. As for the store itself, def 4 stars for the employees here who go above & beyond to help. Terrible Customer Service. I went to this CVS twice yesterday. The first time was during my lunch break. I went to buy toothpaste using my coupons. I was at self checkout but noticed that I needed one more toothpaste. I asked the cashier can I run to go get it or do I need to cancel this order. She pretended to not hear me even though I was looking right at her and asked her repeatedly. She continued to yell over me to her friend/co-worker as if I was invisible. This was about 2:15 or so. I came back after work to use another coupon I received from the previous purchase. I waited for help in the skincare line for more than 20 mins because everything is locked up. Other people were assisted accept me. I finally went to front, waited in line, and asked the cashier. She then opened the case, wouldn't let me look at the item fully, and took it from me. I asked if she was taking it to the front and she mumbled "yes" then walked away. I don't know what the issue was here today but it felt targeted or at least just rude and unprofessional. read more

DO NOT buy a gift card from here. I bought one and filled it with $150 for a friend's birthday gift and someone (cashier?) already redeemed it before my friend did. The manager up front refused to sell me my products UNLESS I GIVE HIM MY PHONE NUMBER!!! Why? So he could sell it to his "partners" so they can call me all day? What happened to privacy protection? Why were HEPA Laws written? We argued. I don't want to get or give out my phone number randomly. I walked out and said, "I'm in the wrong store!" A few customers behind me agreed out loud because the situation got a little heated. Why is it that no other store refuses to sell without my phone number??? This might be the worst CVS store in the nation but there are rumors about one in the Bronx that might rival it. Now I have to drive 2 miles farther and have another CVS or Amazon fill my prescriptions. Well they kept their products and I kept my money but I can never regain all the time that I lost. That's painful. Time was lost because the pharmacy was closed for lunch. They opened at 2:00, they had 2 registers, BUT the second clerk went to lunch at 2:05 and closed his register. What kind of peanut gallery is this? What's worse, while I was waiting for the pharmacy to reopen, the woman in front of me, let a woman skip the line, & she must have had 20 prescriptions. I remember when this CVS was still brand new, and it turned old real quick. There's used up medicine, ripped or spilled. On the floors too. The workers are kind here, haven't had a bad experience with the staff really. They can be slow sometimes but nothing too bad. They used to have a drive-thru for the pharmacy and now they DON'T for some reason. The window is boarded up and close for several months now. I'm not sure if they're ever going to fix it, sadly because it was my one reason why I even go to this location. Might have to find a new location, sadly. read more

This is a decent CVS, I've only used the store not the pharmacy. It's clean in there and I never have issues. The employees are friendly and lines are never too long. They do have all of their hard liquor on lockdown because of recent theft but the employees are more than happy to help if you need something that's locked. read more

This is not a 24-hour facility, so how come when I walk in at 9 am there is merchandise haphazardly laying around on shelves throughout the store? Why are containers marked overstocked left in the middle of aisles? Stains all over the carpet throughout the store assured me I was not in a wealthy neighborhood......because I am sure the CVS in Manhattan Beach or Palos Verdes.....looks pristine. Harbor Gateway residents also care about their neighborhood. CVS show us respect and clean up that dump......our money is the same color and has the same monetary value as the money you get from from the residents down at the beach and up on the hill. read more

Wow. I'm usually not one to give bad reviews, but this locations is horrible with communication. I called to get an update on a prescription that has been on back order for over a week. The pharmacist when and began to say they are going to order it today for tomorrow. So, did you guys not order medication for weeks at a time and just say whatever you want to say to shut people up. Then I asked about another medication that i needed a refill on. All I got was attitude. I just wanted to know if my medication got transferred from another cvs because this cvs didn't have it from a month ago, and see if they asked my doctor for a refill. Because a few days ago the pharmacist said she didn't see my initial request. Maybe there aren't enough leaders in this pharmacist leading this crew because clearly they have no idea what they are doing. Attitude is what is being filled here only. read more

After 5 years of mostly disappointment i am finally looking for a new pharmacy to switch to. Awhile back i went through the drive through and asked for a package of zyrtec D ( i take it every day as per my allergy doctors advise) they said i couldnt get it through the drive through with my other scripts i had to come in because i had to show my license. So i said well i can just give you my license here but nope i had to park and walk in to do the exact same thing i could of done at the drive through window. Then i go in ask for a 24 pack she says we have none so i got a smaller pack which is a pain because you can only buy one at a time. As i was walking out i glanced over and the shelf was full of 24 packs like right in front of her.they would not let me exchange it or return it .But today.... today was the icing on the cake. i was talking to a lady on the phone who told me to come by in 20 minutes and the script would be ready. I waited a little over an hour because i know its busy there. I went to the drive through and i was told my script was not ready. So i told her that i waited an hour after being told to come in 20 minutes and she responded with well its gonna be another 15 minutes or so and told me NOT to come through the drive through again because she had to do covid testing. This is the worse run pharmacy i have seen ... and don't even bother to take in a good RX coupon or anything like that , they act like you are asking for their first born. DONE with CVS. read more

Went to buy a replacement battery for my car keys and wasn't sure if it was the correct size (although I looked online). I asked the employee Angela if the size doesn't fit, if I was able to return it. She said yes as long as I had the receipt and everything, it was fine. The battery was too thick and it ended up being the wrong size. A couple days later I went in with everything (package,battery,receipt) and spoke to the manager Andreas. I told him what I was told and he immediately kept saying "No mam" "no mam" when I was explaining what Angela had said about being able to return the battery. He barely let me explain what I was told. Andreas just kept denying that Angela would say that and that the store policy was known. Basically he treated me like a liar and kept denying that, that would even be said to me. I went to the CVS on PCH/Narbonne close by and told the manager the situation. He looked confused and said they were able to return anything from the store. He wasn't sure why Andreas (the other store) would say that and even went to check if the store was in the same district. I called and told Andreas that I was told that ALL CVS should have the same return policy. He then sounded more apologetic but kept saying that was his store policy and the other manager probably wasn't suppose to return the item but did it for me anyway. (Seriously?........) OVERALL: GO TO A DIFFERENT CVS to save yourself time and keep from being treated like a liar. They don't seem to know how to handle things well and everyone is on different pages on return policies. read more

Beware of Julisa. She the cashier,and she works night shift. Very rude and very disrespectful. Let me start by saying,I love going to this CVS. I've been going here since the day they opened. To grab some stuff that I need,and its pretty convenient for me because its close to my house. Not crowded,I just grab what I need and I'm out. But on my recent trips, I got a very rude, bitchu attitude & very disrespectful cashier. My first transaction,I was returning an item that I've never used before and I just couple days ago. I handed her my item & receipt. Mind you she was bent over on the counter while talking to me,plus she was slouching and touching her hair too. She asked for my debit card,I don't have it that time. So bitched at me,she said she can't do the refund because I don't have my debit card. Its a freaking debit card,you're supposed to give cash instead. But no she kept arguing with me. Bad customer service! So just walked away & went to another CVS. Mind you the other store didn't give me headaches Second time is,I wanted to return another item and I used a money card (store credit). Again I had her. Just my luck. She was the only cashier that time. There was an old guy in front me,looks like a homeless guy,and he was buying a dollar gummy candy. Julisa scanned his candy and the old guy gave her a dollar. She looked at him all mad and said its $1.10. She gave him that stare. Then old guy said I thought its only a dollar. She said there's tax,with her bitchy tone voice. Like seriously? He's an old guy. Give him a break. While the guy look for a change she was just there giving him the look from head to toe and just being a bitch. Poor guy! Anyway it was my turn, she scanned my receipt & my item. And then she looked at me & put me on the side. OB the manager,she's sooo nice & I love her! Helped me and I knew her already. She was shocked that she got called to do this. Which is a very easy transaction you don't need manager to do it. Anyway,me & OB where talking about Julisa. I asked her if she ever gets complaints about her.they definitely do get complaints. I told her they should not hire people like that. Suddenly julisa walked towards us and said "are you guys talking about me?" I don't feel like helping you!" And she just walked away. OB the manager was talking to her but she just walked away and just didnt care at all..I looked at OB shocked,I told her is that how she acts? Your the manager she should respect you. Shrugs this cvs!!! I was excited when I returned back in town to see a cvs. So conveniently close. The few times I've been In the store I've had more not so pleasing encounters and some pleasant ones. One cashier hygiene was high on confidence. Another cashier hearing aid must've of been out of batteries because I repeated myself clearly several times, but she still manage to charge me incorrectly and then tells me she can't refund me my money. She didn't even attempt to try or call for assistance. Luckily someone with better sense and authority took care of the situation. Quick fast in a hurry. I've been in customer service for years. Looked online where I could get a passport photo taken and it said this place takes passport photos. So I go there and see the area where it says passport photos. I wait in line and when I get to the front I say I need to take a passport photo and the guy said we don't do that here. Wait, what??? He said yeah the stores too bright. Wait, what again??? This was the second CVS in my area that I went to and they said they don't take photos. He told me to go to a 3rd CVS! Lame and yeah right! Don't waste your time with CVS! Go to Walgreens! read more

Items here are always running low and needs to be restocked. There's times when I have came here and a lot of things were actually out of stock. The toothpaste, tide pods and hand soap well the kind I like anyways are hardly ever well stocked. If an item you want is out of stock and it's on sale you can always ask for a CVS rain check and when you come another day you will get that item for that sale/clearance price that day. I never had a problem with the cashiers. The manager and cashier were actually pretty accommodating when my coupon rang up as being expired but it actually wasn't. Not my go to pharmacy but it was the nearest to my house and after leaving the urgent care. I walked in nobody was in line to drop off my prescription. The pharmacist was purposely ignoring me and when I finally caught her attention she said, it's not going to be processed tonight because I'm closing in 10 minutes. I said, ok in my dying pain which she probably noticed. But if you need it tonight you can go to another pharmacy Lady, are you kidding me, I could barely stood still. I said tomorrow is fine but please process it first thing in the morning.. well, guess what?! came it there at noon only to find out she didn't even put me in their system. Therefore. I had to wait another 30 minutes or so to wait for my prescription to be filled. However, the lady that assisted me to get my prescription was very thoughtful and considerate. CVS, please change your pharmacist. She ain't no good of a leader nor considerate of sick people. She needs to change her career. read more

I have a pet that's ill and was taken to emergency several weeks ago, once he was discharged it was extremely difficult to find the medication that was prescribed. I was able to fill the prescription at a CVS in Hermosa. My pet followed up with out regular veterinarian to compete a hepatic panel before refilling the medication as it is very hard on the liver. Thankfully his values were within normal range and I decided we could refill his meds closer to home. The prescription was called into this CVS pharmacy on 11/5, I called today and was told there was nothing on file, yet I was present when the hospital called it in, even providing the doctors DEA number. I spoke with Madeline who was extremely rude and unhelpful, cutting me off while still speaking on several occasions. She had me call the original location (CVS Hermosa) and they had no clue as to what rx I was referring to. I called back and they transferred me to Kiki the pharmacist who was as helpful as she could be considering the circumstance. I am highly concerned that the person our veterinarian spoke to disregarded the importance of the medication refill or the doctors private information. I can't help but wonder where our information ended up. I will no longer be utilizing this location. read more

I love CVS and used to be an avid shopper at this location. I bought some Aveeno products at this location and it made me break out. I couldn't find my receipt and went back to try and return them so I can get a different product and the manager refused saying "You did not buy here". These are unused, unopened boxes that look exactly like what is on the shelves. The one I opened is in the trash. I am an honest shopper and felt like he treated me like a scammer. What kind of customer service is that? Never going back and I'll be sure to blast in social media to spread the news. read more
