Mostly go here when my mom visits so that I can get her the paper. I have a list of places nearby that carry it and when I happen to need something I'll go to CVS. Oddly, they carry the World Journal, a Taiwanese American newspaper. Have also had pics developed and picked up a scipt. Have gone there several times over the last year. Each time there is a LONG wait. No matter what. Usually only one cashier. Went in tonight and lucked out with two cashiers, but when I went to get in the line the lady said she was closed. I just had one paper. The other line was super long and taking forever b/c folks were buying alcohol and needed IDs checked. The pharmacy is always busy and slow too. Everything is cheaper and nicer at Target. If only they would carry the World Journal too! But I have other sources. Sorry CVS, after tonight, I won't be visiting anytime soon. read more

The cvs located at 576 el camino sunnyvale California continues to disappoint me. The cashier is always fiendly, the pharmacy is completely rude. One pharmacist by the name of Sharon or Shannon (I don't know which one because their nametag was improperly displayed, most likey because she doesn't want people to file complaints about her) is continuously rude to all customers. Right off the bat, she gives attitude towards he customer rather than making them feel welcome. Everytime I said something, she would glare me in the eye and respond with a tone of voice that sounds as if she is attacking me. I wanted to file a complaint to the pharmacist manager, only to find out she was equally as rude; her name was something along he lines of Wen C. Yi. I asked the cashier to contact he manager and she shows up 5 minutes later. The cashier tells her I have a complaint and she doesn't look at me, but instead tells him "Ok I'm on lunch break." She then glares at me and says "ok you have to wait until I'm done with lunch." I pick up my prescription and see her walk behind the counter, put on her cloak, snd start working. She did not address me or try to find me in order for me to issue my complaint. Very dissappointed with the service here. On the bright side, the pharmacist Lizz is very kind :). Try to get her to help you if you can. The cashier and the store employees are also very kind and greeting as well. read more

I went in to get a passport photo and they even have a poster on the wall saying they do, but they don't do passport photos.

No one at the pharmacy is able to use a phone. Tried calling multiple times and no answer for over an over. The lady there said it was to help customers in line, but most wouldn't of been in line if they bothered to answer a phone once in awhile.. don't leave prescriptions here. read more

This was my first visit to this store. I came in because I was looking for a USB adapter for my phone and was referred by the Metro PCS store in the same complex who did not have it. Right away the Store Manager, Delilah, offered to help me. She took me right to the item, then rang me up at the photo counter. She was friendly helpful, courteous and professional. The store was large, clean and well-stocked. I would definitely return here! read more

I've been going to the CVS location at 576 El Camino Real in Sunnyvale for over 30 years (since it was a Long's Drugstore). It used to be a good location with great pharmacy service but recently it's become terrible. The last time I was there one of my prescription bottles was given to me empty! The pharmacists are very short tempered and unwilling to help with issues. The lines have become very long for drop-off and pick-up. Today I tried to call them because they sent me a text that my insurance wouldn't cover a prescription without telling me the name of the drug that was denied or the cost without insurance. I was on hold for an hour and thrity minutes before I finally gave up and had to hang up. I've decided it's time to go to another location or try Walgreen's instead. read more

The groceries are normally more expensive than the stores nearby. And the staff at the cashier is very unfriendly. We went to print out photos and one of the machines was broken so we had to wait for an hour and come back again. Filled a prescription for birth control that took me almost 3 visits. First time I had left because there was a line half way from the pharmacy to the door on the opposite side on the store. Spoke to a female pharmacist who was very rude an acted like I was trying to obtain OxyContin or something. Told me they didn't have my birth control and wouldn't call my insurance to straighten out my coerce since I am new to the area. Told me to go somewhere else or find the insurance info myself. Tried to have my insurance call them and they never picked up or responsed which has never happened to me before. Showed up again and the make pharm tech was nice and old me that they did have my medications which pharmacist day earlier either was lazy and lied to me Or she didn't look hard enough. I've shopped at the same CVS pharmacy for 25 years, here in Boca Raton, Florida. I had gone in to buy a Covid test for my husband, who is sick. We are both vaccinated, but we also are in our 60s with autoimmune illnesses for which we take immune suppressants. The store was completely out of tests, but not unsolicited advice. I guess our governor is having an influence, because the maskless pharmacist told me that he does not trust the CDC and Dr Fauci is "no doctor" and "nothing but a politician". This is not what pharmacies should be conveying to the public. read more

Avoid this horrible pharmacy whenever possible. My son's prescription was called in 24 hours before I stopped in to pick it up. After waiting in a line that was 20 people deep, the cashier informed me they hadn't even started working on the order and I would have to wait at least another 30 minutes before they would call our name over the intercom. Thirty minutes rolled by before I got back in an even LONGER line. No, they hadn't called our name, but this time the prescription was waiting. I then asked to have flavor added to the suspension drug...that's another $3 charge, by the way. Nobody on staff seemed to know how to add flavor or where the flavor was even stored, but they kept telling me that it would cost $3 (as if that should deter my request). It took three of the four staff members more than five minutes to figure out how to add flavoring to the medication. In this time, none of the 30+ people in line behind me were being served as the fourth attendant was still involved with somebody that had been in line in front of me. Even the cashier was on hold because she didn't want to close my transaction before she knew whether or not to charge the extra $3. She clearly could not care less about the poor people in line behind me. So inconsiderate and inefficient!!!! In closing, the pharmacist took a couple minutes to provide inaccurate information about the drug. (She said we'd need to avoid milk and dairy products for two hours before and after the dosage when it's actually milk of magnesia that should be avoided. Big difference, lady!) I asked for an oral syringe to accurately measure the 10ml dose...but they don't have those. Seriously? This is a pharmacy, right???? At home, I realized the medication guide they provided as reference was for Lexapro (an anti-depressant)...not the antibiotic that was prescribed for my son. Seriously????!!!! How can this place be trusted???? There are too many other pharmacies in town to waste your TIME or risk your LIFE dealing with CVS. read more

Open 24 hours and lots of parking, which is convenient, give it two stars. Other than that, this CVS is a bit disorganized and not as clean as some other CVS stores in the area. But, if you need that cold medicine or whatever you may need in the wee hours of the night, then this is a convenient CVS. read more

Unlike most of the other Long's, this one changing to a CVS was actually an improvement. Before, the cashier's were incredibly slow, and the pharmacy wasn't much better. While the new ownership has reduced the amount of items in the store, the cashier's are improved. The pharmacy is still about the same, but at least they're friendly. My doctor's office is around the corner; only reason I'll go to this one is if I need to fill a scrip I picked up right that second. Otherwise, I'll go to the one over by Bernardo & El Camino, which is a bit better. read more

This review is just for the pharmacy which is incredibly unorganized and inefficient. My doctor sent in my prescriptions at around 8am to this pharmacy. I go there after work around 8pm (after waiting 20 minutes in the line) to find out that my prescription is not ready to be picked up, even though my doctor sent it in 12 hours ago. That was annoying-I am not sure why it would take 12 hours to put some medicines in a bag. The lady at the counter said that it would be ready in an hour and that they would text me when its ready to be picked up. I leave, an hour goes by and still no text from the pharmacy. So I drive back over there, wait another 20 minutes in line, and my prescriptions were finally ready. I actually received a text from them the next day saying my medicine was ready for pick up. Go figure. This pharmacy needs to get their act together. read more

Very disappointed in this pharmacy they need to get it together. My 3rd time going back for my wrong injection needles, and giving me expired materials. Now i have to go back again and take it all back so they can figure out what shit i need when it was clearly on my prescriptions and even had my doctor call them an still nothing is right. i wont be going back to them. Whew...looking at the dismal reviews this place has drummed up, it's not going to win a popularity contest any time soon for sure! As an Express scripts member, I had to have my prescription transferred to CVS from Walgreens. As this store is open 24 hours, I decided to pick up my medication from here on a monthly basis. With all my conscience, I have to give this 4 stars when I contrast the service I have received her vis-a-vis the Walgreens store in Mountain View that I used to go to. - First -off, I get an automated reminder on my phone 2 days before I need to refill my medication. They let me place an order and pick up time right then and there on the phone. Walgreens never provided this facility. Now, I don't even need to take the effort to pick up the phone and call in a refill myself. CVS takes care of it. - I recently had to pick some medication for a friend that was supposed to be available OTC. The pharmacy didn't have it (in fact that particular medicine is not really stocked in pharmacy stores). One of the guys working there was helpful enough to take the time to help me out; he then directed me to the pharmacist who took the time out to search for an alternate medicine with the same active ingredients. I REALLY felt helped that day. - I must admit that my experience when it comes to picking medication up has been a bit different from what others seem to be experiencing. I have always found the line to mover quickly as there has always been more than one person helping customers out ( at least during the times I have visited). - Oh, and do get a CVS card and use it when making purchases. So....as of this moment, I guess I am a happy shopper. read more

Oh CVS, you necessary evil. I'm still not a fan of the carpets, but I am a fan of the fact that they took away the cigarettes in an effort to portray a healthy vibe (c'mon, we know you're still slingin' booze n' chips up in there). I have to come for a prescription like everyone else, but I end up spending a million dollars on drugstore makeup brands and shampoo that I didn't actually need yet. Those ExtraCare bucks don't hurt either though, and definitely help pad the hole in my pocketbook that comes from the goodies within the store. The employees in the pharmacy are really nice, and for the most part the employees at the regular checkout are friendly too. You will find yourself surrounded by all kinds of weirdo's though if you have to stop by in the wee hours of the night, but that comes with the territory. read more

Very rude staff over the phone. Every time I call to just verify that a prescription is ready the pharmacy representatives are rude. Half the time I can barely get a word out before they bark at me to give them my date of birth or prescription number. Then I get wrong information where they tell me a prescription isn't ready when really it is. This pharmacy is consistently rude to people and overall I've had disappointing experiences each time I call or go in person. read more

We shop here nearly once a week. As many of the reviewers have said, the lines can be long and take awhile because they usually only have one or two checkout people working at a time. We've learned to come early in the morning to avoid the crowds, get our stuff, and get out more quickly. This CVS seems to be larger than many others in the area and it is open 24 hours a day, every day, which is a real plus. We have found the staff to be friendly and helpful even though they seem to be overworked most of the time. read more

The Minute Clinic gets 5 stars here. I walked right in at noon on a Sunday and my NP was Clarissa Fago who was beyond fantastic. She was kind, friendly and attended to any question and medical test. I was in and out in a half hour with full satisfaction! There was plenty of parking and my prescriptions were sent to my own pharmacy, ready as soon as I got there, I definitely recommend this Minute Clinic! read more

I needed to get a quick TB test for a volunteer job and found that the MinuteClinic at CVS offers the cheapest tests I could find in a hurry. The lady that helped me was very nice. I had to make an initial visit to get an injection of TB and a second one for the actual TB test. Everything was very clean and professional. To top it off, the clerks in the front always waved hello - a nice touch. read more

This CVS pharmacy smelled of feces. Like someone went in there and took a big dump in one of the corners. Basically, I got what I needed and got out. I always find these Long's Drugs converted to CVS to be a bit odd. There's lots of space in there, but the shelving is always so spread out. It's like walking into a half-empty store. Target and Walmart both use their store space in a normal, but not crowded way. I always find that these CVS locations feel like they're missing half of their stock. The odor didn't help. read more
