I go here for my prescriptions and every single time - whether during the day or evening, week day or weekend, the line is long and the staff helping only open 1 or 2 counters. There are always a number of people in the background, doing not sure what but only a couple of people helping with the pickup. When there is a long line and there is one every time, no one opens up another counter to help. I dread going here because I feel like years of my life are wasting away, standing in line. Any of the above would be bearing if the people working there were efficient or even great to deal with. I left a message at one time and their answering message says that they will call back within a period of time, I waited almost a day before calling them again and when I asked about the timing, the pharmacist said, with heavy attitude, that she had called me back and my inbox was full and she could not leave a message, I have 5 messages in my inbox! There are 2 lines to form to pick up prescriptions, one regular and a fast land for mobile check in. The last time I was there, standing in the regular line and it took the person in front of me over 20 minutes to pick up her prescriptions! The person helping her would walk off, find something, it was wrong and she would go start that all over again or she was not able to find the prescriptions! She didn't ask for help, just kept walking around the tiny space trying to find the poor women's prescriptions. The fast lane was open, with no one in line, and I went there to pick up my prescription and the person helping, she was one of the pharmacists said that this is a fast land and I had to go back to the regular lane, there was no one in that lane!!!!! There are signs posted asking people to be kind to the pharmacy staff - probably because they are so inefficient and rude that people get frustrated It's too bad that there are not many other choices. First off, the staff has always been as helpful as they can under the circumstances. They return my calls quickly and answer questions well. I don't envy what they're going through and appreciate their professionalism. Unfortunately, our ability to fill prescriptions has been wildly inconsistent -- no clear dates for when out-of-stock medications will come in (or they move further and further out as the new date approaches). My partner has had to go without critical medication (and be left recovering from the gap for weeks) on multiple occasions. We'd switch pharmacies, but haven't had much luck elsewhere, either. It's hard to understand why there's seemingly no urgency from the company around keeping regular/daily meds that have been taken successfully for years in stock. We also have to strategize around when to show up, since the store is usually understaffed and certain time periods (especially on any side of commuting hours) tend to involve long lines that are hard to bear if you're not able to stand for sustained periods of time. read more

Again another one star review. I am so frustrated with this location's photo department. I placed an order for some custom made Father's Day magnets. I went to go pick them up during my estimated pick up time. When I got there, they told me the magnet machine has been broken the last few days! Why is this location allowing orders to be made for magnets when the machine is broken in the first place! I asked the store employee when It would get fixed, and she had no idea. The poor staff is overworked, with the store portion typically only being ran by 1-2 people at a time. (Companies running businesses with bare-bones staffing is unfortunately the new norm, which is unfair to the staff and the patrons. When the staff is spread thin, the constant pressure puts them on edge, only adding to the customers' subpar experience caused by long wait times.) Fred in the pharmacy is incredible -- he works very quickly and efficiently and is kind and patient with everyone. The new pharmacist (maybe pharmacy manager?), Priyanka, has had an attitude with the customers each time I've seen her working. I had to deal with her recently, and she was very unprofessional, bitey with her tone and body language -- huffing, pursed lips, and giving me a hard time. Just over here praying Fred doesn't leave anytime soon. Priyanka could use a refresher course on customer service, kindness, and empathy. read more

This CVS was a total mess. The worker Norma had the worst attitude ever -- rude, snappy, and completely unprofessional. My mom and I came in with a CVS gift card that definitely had money on it, but she tried to say it didn't and basically tried to keep it for herself until my mom got mad and told her to give it back. She finally did, but with major attitude. Honestly, it really felt like they were trying to make it seem like some "error" just to keep the money for themselves. When I spoke up -- not even yelling, just confused and talking loud -- she acted like I was screaming at her. Like girl, I wasn't yelling at you, I was just frustrated and trying to figure out what was going on. Horrible attitude, zero professionalism. Also, the self-checkout machines are garbage. Multiple people (not just me) had issues -- cards wouldn't go through, and everyone had to run their transaction twice. The place was super short-staffed too, and Norma was taking her sweet time while another customer clearly needed help. Honestly, this CVS needs to do better. Shady behavior, rude staff, broken machines -- everything about this location is just terrible. read more

The pharmacist is the worst! He is so rude and disrespectful. I hope he never has a kid at home in pain in need of medication. My husband got there an hour before closing, 7pm. They said they didn't receive the prescription. I called clinic on my way to meet my husband at the pharmacy and they said they sent it over an hour before. I waited in the 30 min line so now it's 7:50 by the time I get to speak to them again. The clinic calls me as I'm talking to the pharmacist and offers to call CVS. I say yes please do. The phone is ringing and the pharmacist just looks at it saying he really doesn't want to answer it. What?! He finally answers 4 mins till closing and tells the clinic he doesn't feel like writing out and filling my kids prescription because it's too close to closing time and tells them to send me to a 24 hour CVS which was 30 minutes away. Then they just begin turning off the lights and leaving right at 8 like we weren't just in the middle of a conversation. Take your prescriptions somewhere else they are rude and disrespectful. read more

The pharmacy is the worst. My prescriptions are always out of stock or delayed for days. Shipping prescriptions are an absolute disaster. They get returned to CVS by the delivery service for no reason and CVS never informs the customer meanwhile it sits in the middle of "on the way" on the app. They push the app but its terribly run. They have a "rapid pick-up" option, with a seperate line instore and if you get in that line the cashier just ignores you anyways calling people from the regular line instead. read more

Poor customer service/ phone etiquette. Nice staff but, If they are busy they Hang up the phone on you without explanation if they answer it at all. They say they are busy but when I go in only a couple of people are in line. They said have taken On the customers for two closed locations but yet they are closing early like at 4:00pm the last two days that I'm aware of Make it make sense! If you have a serious need such as seizure medication or heart medication or diabetes or other life saving medication I would steer clear of this location. It could cost you your life. Don't even bother coming here EVER!!! They look at you and if you look asian or black, they will insult you. Especially the woman with the glass and blond hair, this woman is VERY rude and rotten to the core. I came here to buy cough syrup for my girlfriend because she got cold and was coughing. Me and my gf brought our IDs and everything. All of us are adults and my sister came in here with me to CVS. We were waiting at self purchase because we only have one item. Not a review in detail per se , but a big shout out to Ravneet who happens to work in the pharmacy at this location. I was driving back from an event and had to prepare for another and on the way was told that my medication was ordered to the wrong pharmacy and that i needed to followup with them to have this rectified. Disappointed, i called the pharmacy at this store and Ravneet was super helpful. Patiently listened to my situation and then did all she could to route the order to the pharmacy that this order was intended for and all this while maintained a super calm demeanor. Zero stars if i could. The WORST service today from both manager and employee seem to be the only 2 workers in the whole building. Waited 5 different buttons presses just to get my laundry detergent and then employee fucked up my coupon and had me stand there and redo my transaction multiple times for another ten minutes while i am constantly expressing to employee id like the manager to just fix it because they obviously didnt have a clue what they were doing and wasting my time when i ALSO communicated to the employee that i am in a rush please just get the manager to fix it because the employee is now causing me to be late to pick my son up from school. Just another cog in the wheel of what's wrong with healthcare and I'm sure they blame the pandemic when it's truly just them being lazy and not following through. They turned away my husband and daughter who had pink eye and had a prescription sent from their minute clinic at 5:51. My husband immediately stood in line and at 6:05 they told him that they couldn't not help him because it was 6pm and they were closing. They claimed to jot receive the prescription, the minute clinic NP even walked over to show proof of having she tit twice and they literally just said "sorry we're closed can't do anything about it you have to go to Sunnyvale". The laziness, lack of empathy, lack of follow through and lack of general human decency is absolutely disgusting. That they could look at a little five year old girl with pink eye and be like "ehh I don't feel like doing my job because it's 9 minutes to closing, let's pawn her off on someone else". What if my husband took the bus or an Uber to this minute clinic appointment? What if he could t afford to drive her to a second pharmacy AND pay for medication. There are people out there who this could be their situation and you deciding to be lazy for the end of your shift and not help people could lead to someone not being able to get their medication and not have access to treatment..... DONT WORK IN HEALTHCARE if your heartless.... Sincerely a nurse who has worked front line in the ICU and emergent medicine and is tired too but still understands human decency and how to fulfill my job duties while I'm on the clock.... P.s. we will be filing a formal complaint because while we are capable of accessing a second pharmacy, I worry about that elderly patient or homeless patient who doesn't have the same means and can't get their insulin or antibiotics or bp meds because your pharmacists think it's okay to not fulfill their job duties.... read more

This location is always out of everything and they blame it on the pandemic but if you go to other locations they're fully stocked. The staff here are always so rude! There's never anyone on the floor to help and if you are lucky there will be one cashier open. They often pressure customers to use the self check out. But the thing is sometimes I use the self check out and it says it needs an employee then you're standing there watching the employee help other people and they take forever to come help. This location needs more staff and they need to be friendlier. It was hilarious when upper management of cvs came from corporate cause it was the first time I've seen any of the staff "do you need any help" with a smile. A ghost house-like appearance now, though well stocked with merchandise, and the forlorn associate was heard complaining to anyone that would give her a ear. She was complaining aloud about her "STUPID broken computer", a manager who would not show her any courtesy, someone who became a MANAGER, what that someone would be enabled with etc. etc. etc. to a couple of shoppers and staff. .........Such slant talk suited more in a kitty gossip club, than for a customer oriented pharmacy giant. The worst customer service ever. I had an insulin prescription transferred here. I went in at 11:45am and was told it wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes. I ran some errands and returned at 3pm. I was told the prescription still wasn't ready, not for 45 minutes. I returned at 4:30. Not only wasn't the prescription not yet ready, the technician mentioned that my insulin would cost $400!!! I called my old pharmacy and the pharmacist assured me she faxed over all the prescription information, including insurance coverage. read more

If you want to buy stuff at CVS but don't want to be ripped off, go to ANY OTHER CVS store EXCEPT this CVS on 2700 Homestead Road! I shop different CVS stores in the Bay Area so I am very familiar with the in-store pricing at various CVS locations. The management at this location is so greedy that they jacked up their in-store price for the SAME items compared with the in-store prices at other CVS stores in our area. Note: I am NOT comparing online price with in-store price because understandably there is usually a price difference between online pricing and in-store pricing. I strictly comparing IN-STORE prices for different CVS locations. I am shocked to find that the SAME EXACT item I buy at this CVS location is more expensive than the in-store price CVS at other nearby locations (such as CVS stores located in Sunnyvale or even Cupertino). I was shocked by the experience I had tonight. I walked up to the register and let ROBIN know that I had a photo order for pick up. She looked visibly annoyed by me telling her this. She got up from her chair and went to get my photo order. When she came back she rang up my photos and the went to scan the 12 pack of soda I had on the conveyer belt. She seemed to struggle a little trying to reach the barcode on the soda, so I lifted it to bring it closer to her. She then grabbed the soda from me and put it back down exactly how it was, and continued to struggle reaching to scan it. I don't know if this was her way of saying, "I don't need your help." She was sitting in a chair which made the items on the conveyer belt farther away from her reach, so I was just trying to help her out. First she made me feel like a disturbance when I said I had a photo pick up, and then secondly she made a rude gesture when I tried to help bring an item closer to her for scanning. Wow, do I even have to write a negative review? There are so many negative ones. Went to CVS to pick up medication for my wife a child. Waited 40 minutes before being told that one medication was ready but that they don't have a record of my other medicine. The cashier then tells me to wait in another line to speak with the pharmacy tech. He looks it up on his computer and says that there is no record of this. I call the hospital and they confirm that it was called in. I ask the same tech again and he is able to find it and I'm told to wait in line again to pick it up. By that time it's been an hour. I'm upset now because I've been waiting an hour because of their incompetence. The pharmacy tech doesn't apologize and in a very annoying manner tries to put the blame on me. He is the most annoying tech I've encountered and his demeanor made it worse. Had he just apologized for their incompetence I would not have been so angry. This tech's last name is Pham and I hope I never experience their incompetence again!! The world has come to this!! Made an appointment to get my 2nd MODERNA shot, on-line. I filled out all my information and TRIED to submit, their effed up application said to give a proper 10 digit phone number! I already did! It didn't accept my number as my number. I printed out the page with my time,date and which cvs. Drove there with the print out. They said it was not in their "system." This store doesn't have a cart for their customers to use. How is a person who has a disability relies on leaning on a cart to get around because they are using a cane or one crutch to get around and now have carry a basket to put their items in. This is so wrong. read more

Have been going to this pharmacy since 1978 - when it was wonderful Long's! Pharmacy was great as long as Tom and Elisa were pharmacists here. After they retired- or did CVS ask them to leave and replace them with totally incompetent pharmacists when they took over the business, the customer service has been dangerous and completely untrustworthy. Cvs corporate and their designated Customer Service "manager" are unresponsive and negligent - unforgivable in a health care setting. I agree with review regarding no carts in the store. Cvs response is that "carts get stolen". There are stores within a two mile radius that don't seem to have this problem, eg Walgreen's, Lucky, Safeway. Very sad state of affairs at this CVS - it is the worst! read more

I had a really bad customer service from one of the technicians, Christine. In the middle of the transaction she just left the counter without explaining what she is doing and did not come back for ten minutes. Then When I told her she should have notify me as a courtesy that she needs to attend to something before walking away, she got upset and blamed me for not finishing the transaction which is not true. When I told her I will report this; she said she has been working at CVS homestead Santa Clara for 4yrs and it has been short staffed and regional manager has not been doing anything. This particular location has been doing really poorly in terms of customer service and now have emplyee even arguing and fighting with customers.
