Not only have the pharmacists been nothing but rude every single time I've been here, but one time the male pharmacist shorted my medication intentionally, to which I had to ask him to do a recount, but I just left after trying to drop off my prescription, and an incredibly abrasive and incompetent red headed (bright box color) pharmacy tech told me she couldn't check to see if they even had my medication and that the "pharmacist was at lunch and I'd have to come back in an hour", then immediately turned around and ignored me without any care of response or customer service. It is a Saturday and they have someone behind the counter who has very poor customer service who can't check stock on medication? Worst cvs I've ever been to! read more

so i just called to see if this CVS has a refill & she straight up, without a hesitation in her breath was: "No". when i asked what the eta on getting them in, she says: "probably Monday"... with all the gawd damn pharmacies in Studio City/Sherman Oak/Burbank, why are they all out of Norco...? do you have baby formula...? no. sorry, your baby is going to have to go without food until we get our order in, like in 10 days... why...? uhm, because thats how it is... we place orders when there is no more product & it will take 7-10 days to get the order in... when we're out of copy paper, or post its or paper towels or containers, we place an order BEFORE WE RUN COMPLETELY OUT...? are we doing it wrong...? should we wait until we are totally out of toilet paper, copy paper & then place an order with U-Line...? how would our business run without these things...? since the government wants everyone on pharmaceutical meds, why dont they keep the fuckin shelves stocked. read more

I hope this is the right CVS location... stupidly there's another one RIGHT ACROSS the street! I'm rating the one south of the blvd. I remember when it used to Thrifty's, then RiteAid, and then Longs, and now CVS. I joined when it was Long's because the pharmacy hours were so convenient (24/7). Now... they close at 6 on Sundays!! So besides the new hours being horrible, the staff is a nightmare... you can never find one to help you, and once you do, they look pissed off that you're wasting their time, and most of the time they have no idea what they're talking about! The lines are usually a disaster... whether it be for the pharmacy, or the regular checkout lane. And for some reason there are always a bunch of weirdos hanging right outside the store, sometimes they can be quite creepy. They've lost a customer. read more

Dumb. The only word that I can think of to describe this CVS and its employees. Every time I go in to pick up my prescription, they give me a new total cost-- when I tell them that I paid $12 last time and now I'm being charged $25 - "Oh yeah, you're right. something must have changed!" -- did nothing beyond that. Who works at CVS and doesn't know what a heart rate monitor is?? I mean, I know I cant be the only person looking for one. This was the third CVS I called asking if they had a particular style of heart rate monitor (didn't have any issues with the other two stores I called and asked) but I had to be transferred to three... yes three different people to finally get someone who knew what I was talking about. They did tell me they had it, so i put it on hold. When I came into the store, it was in fact NOT the one I was talking about but it was a heart rate monitor never the less.. When I asked the clerk where they would be, she said she didn't know.. that was it! She didn't even attempt to help me! So I started looking for it on my own... when I couldn't find it, I asked the pharmacy lady and to my surprise she didn't speak a lick of English AND had no idea what I was asking for. After trying to repeat myself, she says to me... oh are you looking for a blood pressure monitor?? I wanted to yell.. no you idiot.. but I didn't.. I asked if she was a pharmacist and she confirmed and at that point I walked out the door! Not only was NO ONE willing to help and just said "i don't know" but I don't know how you can have a pharmacist who doesn't know what a heart rate monitor is! That is so scary since this chick is handling medicine!!!!! I would be very worried to have my prescription filled here! Please BEWARE!!!! This place is a good CVS, I've only been in here once. The staff seemed fine to me, just wanted to get their work done. They were also really helpful, the only problem is that it's so small and there's another across the street! I went in there with my friend she was looking for some make up and I was looking for bug spray, she found her item, but I didn't find mine. I even asked and they offered to help me find it. Also, when I was in there we saw Willie Garson (Stanford from Sex in the City), so that was pretty cool. Who knows, maybe you'll see someone from your TV there. It is Studio City. :) read more

Always really friendly service here, very attentive even at self check out. They usually greet everyone who walks in too. Prices are a little too high compared to department stores but I guess that is only because those stores get things in bulk so they sell cheaper.. Usually come here only whenever I need something in an emergency, this drugstore is the closest to my work so I can walk to this CVS, so it comes in handy at times. They have pretty much anything you can think of, oh and the extra care card is cool if you shop a lot here, it gives you extra bucks at times and it's like free money! read more

A bit strange (yet convenient?) how there are 2 CVS locations within 5 minutes walking distance of each other.. this one is next to Urban, the other one is next to Panera Bread, and they are so close to each other.. nevertheless, free parking, and there's basically everything you need here.. the bathrooms were "out of order" according to one of the employees,.. hmm. read more

If Yelp had an option to give zero stars, that's the rating I'd give this place, mostly for the pharmacy counter. I've dealt with slow & inefficient pharmacies before, but this place takes the cake. Prescriptions are NEVER ready when they're supposed to be, they've given me the wrong medication, the wrong dosage, screwed up my insurance claims, kept me sitting there waiting for something to be filled for over an hour when it was already done, and called me numerous times to pick up filled prescriptions that I didn't request. A couple of weeks ago it took me 2 visits and a total of more than two hours of waiting time in the store to get a prescription filled correctly, and while I was driving home from the store they called me to tell me that my prescription - *the one I had already paid for and left with* - was ready, but they were having trouble getting insurance approval on it. It took me a good 5 minutes to explain that I already had the filled prescription in my possession, and that my insurance company was rejecting their request because they were erroneously duplicating the filled order. Half the time they're out of common medications and need to order them just to fill my prescriptions, and I don't think I've ever spent less than 10 minutes standing in line waiting to check out even when there's only one person ahead of me. And it never fails, if I have to talk to the same employee more than once in a ten-minute period, no matter who it is, they look at me like they've never seen me before and I end up having to explain the situation all over again. This place is a model of incompetence. The rest of the store is frequently out of stock of things I need, particularly when they're on sale. The employees tend to leave re-stocking carts in the middle of aisles, and they usually aren't very helpful when you need to find something. I have yet to walk in there and actually find a shopping basket by the door - every single time I have to walk over to the registers and ask someone to hand me one from behind the counter. To top it all off, I hate the parking lot in this shopping center. It's always packed, people park like idiots & go the wrong way, and if you need to use the northern exit on Laurel Canyon it can take 10 minutes before you finally get to pull out because that stupid light is so short. read more

This pharmacy never has any medication in stock. Pure waste of time coming here and incredibly frustrating. Even for the simplest of prescriptions they don't have it. It would be one thing if this just occurred the one time. But they've been out of my monthly prescription every month for the past 5 months. This will be the last time I use this pharmacy. The CVS pharmacy is always so helpful and prompt in renewing my prescriptions in a timely manner, CVS is my favorite drug store.

If I could give this pharmacy a few thousand negative stars, I would. First, I drop off my script after waiting in line for over 20 mins and was told it would be ready the following day at 12p. Got there the following day at 12:30p and it wasn't ready. Waited for over an hour before leaving (line too long to complain). Called a few hours later and was placed on hold for 1 hour, 03 mins and 24 seconds. Yes, you read that right... over an hour. They told me there was in issue and needed to call my doctor. Fast forward to six days later: no call from either my doctor or CVS to tell me what's going on (especially since I have surgery and need the meds by tomorrow). Called Dr first to find they never heard from CVS in first place. Ask them to call CVS. Called CVS myself and was on hold for over 20 mins. Called on another phone and was helped on OTHER phone after 5 mins. (WTF?!). Was told they would fill script in an hour. Yeah, right. This place is so unprofessional it's not even funny. Never, EVER will I use this worthless pharmacy again. I will pay MORE just to go somewhere else! EDIT: I called the CVS Customer Support (800)746-7287 and they were AWESOME! They called the pharmacy to make sure my script was ready WHILE I WAS ON THE LINE! Took my complaint down and was extremely friendly. For everyone who has had issues with this sh*tty CVS, I highly recommend calling the above number and complain. read more

It is difficult to rate this because there are technically two locations. The one in the parking lot next to Vons I would rate a 1 star because the cashier in there always says "no cash back or only ten dollars" when I select $20 she throws me a dirty look because she doesn't want to have to ask her manager to refill her till. Also, she refuses to bag anyone's items and throws them on the counter and starts checking out the next customer, I have heard her called a b#$@ more than once by other customers and am surprised she hasn't been fired yet. I digress, the one across the street, in the Barnes and Noble parking lot is a 2-3 star. Average CVS really, I only go here because it's close to home but would rather make the trek to Target because their prices are $1-2 cheaper for each item. read more

I asked for the manager and she ended up paging for the manager and after waiting for 10 minutes she says manager is at lunch. cvs is a big company and i really didn't expect to experience such thing at a csv store. What a nightmare. I will Never go to another CVS pharmacy, ever. The incompetence was overwhelming to say the least! Following a day in incredible pain in the ER, I came here to fill my meds. First mistake. Stared at me hardcore for the pain meds! But thank God that wasn't the one they had a problem with! For some reason, another one got hung up in the works. Insurance they said, only I got a notice in the mail dated the following day saying no problem! That was the day they called me 3xs to tell me it still wasn't ok'd! The day I was trying to sleep and heal! The following day, still no go and the woman had the audacity to ask me what it was for, then harrumphed in my ear and hung up on me! A few days later,I went down there to get my prescription and it wasn't in the computer!! The woman had deleted it and thrown the doctors paper prescription in the garbage!! I couldn't believe it! Then,I was told to have my new pharmacy call them when they'd gotten the verbal ok from the doc. Awesome. Only five mins later, the woman called me back saying my doc never wrote it in the first place!! Except I still have proof in my hospital papers!! This has to be seriously illegal and I'll be looking into further options. So ridiculous and incompetent, not to mention Crazy as Hell! How these morons are even still in business, god only knows! read more

this review is about the CVS on same side of Ventura Blvd as Panera. the staff there are great! they know their stock, help you find things and will go to storage if they are out of something you want. The pharmacy line goes quickly, they keep their promises about time RX will be available. they have fun things on sale great makeup choices Clean' AND, I have never been solicited for money I am ready for whole chain to do something better about the money back coupons, I forget to use them on time and just feel annoyed! read more

The pharmacist Luceen (sp?) was rude, unfriendly and very unhelpful (to say the least). In addition, I have found that prices are often marked incorrectly, so you have to check your receipt so they don't rip you off. This place is terribly run and infuriating as a customer. Not happy with this CVS! I went to shop there and had to use the restroom. The restroom had a sign on it that said "out of order", and a sign that said it in Spanish. I hate it when bathrooms are out of order. Most the time it means the bathroom isn't clean and nobody wants to deal with it. So I asked the lady behind the counter why is it "Out of Order." The only thing she said is "Big, Big Kaka." She said to me "Big, Big Kaka!" This will be the last time I ever visit this store! C'mon you are CVS!! My primary doctor recommended this CVS as oppose to the one across the street because she said this one has less complaints. My podiatrist sends my prescription to the other location across the street and they give me a call when it's ready. This location however does not call you when your prescription is ready. This is twice my primary doctor have called in a prescription and twice they did not call to let me know it was ready. I have to call and ask! If your doctor asks you which one, don't pick this one. Pick the one at the corner of Laurel & Ventura and not the one half block down on Ventura. read more

Apparently prescriptions are not that important to CVS. My doctor sent 3 prescriptions to CVS electronically. When i went to pick them up, they only gave me two. I didn't realize there were supposed to be 3 and CVS never mentioned that there was a third medication that was on order. I then received a text that the medicine arrived in the store and when i went to pick it up they didn't have it. They also said they never received the prescription. When i pointed out that they texted me about it they were confused. It was urgent that i start taking this medicine this weekend and they did nothing to try and find the medication. I then had to scramble on a Friday night to get my doctor to send a new prescription to Rite Aid - fortunately they had the medication and i am able to have my surgery as scheduled. I will never have another prescription filled by CVS. This was a disgraceful situation. read more
