Nelson has always been wonderful to me and to my cars. It breaks my heart that this place has some negative reviews, especially since many of them are about the gas station attendant and not the mechanics. I have sent 4 different friends here in the past 6 months and they have all been very happy with their service. Nelson is conservative, doesn't jump to replace things, will always recommend what can be done to repair. I wouldn't describe his prices as cheap, but they are fair, and certainly competitive with other reputable garages. I'll never service my cars anywhere else. read more

I just got yelled at for leaving my car (as I usually do) to pick up my food that is a 2min walk - usually get gas, pick up my food, and then get other things inside this gas station. Never had an issue until today where they decided to tell me I just can't do that and "who just leaves their car." I told them I do not appreciate the attitude or disrespect. I have been going to this gas station to buy snacks daily the last 3 days after my sons tournament games at Harvard Westlake and using the restroom on our way back to Orange County. Today GINA insisted on me having to buy something first to get the code from the receipt even though I told her my husband was parking to walk in and make the purchases. Over and over she insisted that is the only way I can use the restroom saying she didn't care if I peed on her floor she wouldn't give me the code. Purchased gas and requested they turn on the air compressor for my tires. Three employees all refused despite state law requiring them to turn the air compressor on for customers who purchase fuel. I asked politely and they were rude, dismissive, and demanded I pay them to turn on the air compressor despite the law requiring them to provide free air to customers who purchase fuel. I would only recommend coming to this gas station if you like to be price gouged, treated horribly, and to support businesses that refuse to follow the law. This is the complaint I just filed with the ADA and the BBB, as well as to 76 Feedback website. Basically, my accessibility to the restroom was hindered & delayed. I'm disabled and have mobility issues as I've been diagnosed in 2013 with fibromyalgia and pulmonary sarcoidosis. I'm also diabetic. It was an awful experience with the clerk inside (possibly from South Asia, India - included for identifying purposes only). She wouldn't let me use the restroom without buying something first. I asked politely as I limped into the store, "Hi can I please use your restroom?" She returns, "You have to purchase something first." I replied "I intend to buy gas and a beverage in the store, but I really need to go first, please I really need to go." I begged. She continued to insist that I buy something or leave. So I picked up an item from the counter and put it in front of her, it only rang up to $1.98 but in order to use Apple Pay, it had to be $3 minimum purchase. She states, "You need to buy a minimum $3 or you can give me cash or go somewhere else." So I retrieved an additional item same as the first product I chose, all the while trying not to have an accident right there. She finally gives me the receipt and shows me the code to enter the restroom. By the time I reached the restroom, I had already gone on myself. This was absolutely humiliating! There's no excuse to be treated this way. I've been an Uber & Lyft driver for 10 years and regularly purchased gas at 76 gas stations. I have NEVER seen such BARBARIC, entitled, uncaring, arrogant, and dismissive attitude towards another human being. I admit I raised my voice when stated that I am going to report her and this station to the ADA. She just laughed, and stated, "Go ahead report, nothing will happen" she continues laughing as I'm already outside getting into my car and she yells, "Go home to ...(your country)" as I had started my vehicle and began to drive away, that's what I thought I heard her say. She and whoever else operates this store does not deserve to run a 76 business with such hostility towards their customers especially those who are disabled. I was laughed at, treated less than, mocked at, humiliated, and told to go home to my country. I've been living here since 1970!!! ¡¡¡DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!! This place has friendly service and the most amazing drinks and snacks selection anywhere. Every time I go to the minimart, I find something new and fun to drink or eat - or both. If I could give zero stars I would. Extremely rude cashier on Saturday morning 6/22/24. I asked to use the restroom and she said I had to buy something from the store. I pull up to the gas station first to get gas then decide to get air before I get gas. I asked the clerk that was outside if he can please turn the air on he said I have to put two dollars. Don't spend you're money here. First, their gas is overpriced.. more expensive than every gas station within a 2 mile radius. Second, the staff will harass you for cleaning out your car while at the pump. They have a man sitting outside with cleaning products evidently only they can clean out you're car. As I was spending money at the station, pumping gas into my car, I was emptying trash and I put a zip tie below my car for a loose part. I was told I need to leave, there were no other cars in the lot, nobody was waiting for me. Its complete disrespect, if I'm spending money at an establishment, I expect to be treated with respect. Corrupt business. I paid for full serve gas and oil and when the man said I need washer fluid I said "no thank you". I walked inside for two seconds and he had my receipt for me. First of all, why, WHY, must you insist on being a good 20 degrees hotter than anywhere else in Los Angeles?! So it was Smog Check time for the ol coche last week. This was the first year my once brand new ride needed to get checked, damn, we're gettin old, and with a July 17th deadline looming I needed to get this done. Besides my Mom wasn't being very subtle with the hints to get my butt in gear and take care of it (hi MOM) and so on a very hot SFV Friday afternoon I decided to say Eff it, and get it done. I had just driven back from Culver City and as I was heading towards my house I noticed the official SMOG STATION signage and said, "Perfect, this is where I will go!" I then pulled up and was greeted by Mike, the service manager and told that it would take about 20 minutes. Sweet, 20 minutes I can do. 25, maybe not, as I am notoriously bad about waiting for anything car related, but 20, totally do-able. Well, that 20 actually ended up turning into about 34 minutes and we only have the SFV to thank for that. You see, their equipment wasn't diggin the heat and was making it hard to get a read on the smoggy smog levels or whatever the hell they are called, so there was a bit of a delay. BUT, what I loved about the people working here is that they communicated with me the entire time and apologized profusely. That was about the only "cool" thing about the experience, but hey, it was a smog check, it;s not like I was looking for fireworks and a guy doin a jig. Anyhoo, when all was said and done, it was an excellent and reasonably priced place to take the car to get smogged and I would totally recommend it to anyone. What I would also recommend is not going on a day when the tires are melting, the asphalt is sizzling and there's a tall white chick panting and turning red in the heat. Thank god for the new issue of US Weekly with Paris' struggle through her 2 minutes in jail, for without that, I don't know what else I would have used as a fan ;) read more

I just went in to this station with my clients wallet in hand to use the loo and buy something to drink and a frozen treat. Please avoid this gas station at all costs. I filled up with gas there on Oct. 12, 2023 at 9:15 am, paying $74.70 for a full tank. I left my wife and young kids in the car so i could quickly use the bathroom but the store clerk told me i needed to buy something. I told him i just spent a lot of money on gas and he asked which pump and didn't believe me! Despite my polite request for the bathroom code he refused to share it. The clerk could not have been more rude and acted as though i was doing something wrong by asking for the bathroom code. After politely asking 3x, I started to get irritated and when he asked why, I told him that i had a wife and two kids sitting in the car waiting for me and that we had an appointment and I was worried I was going to be late. He didn't care at all and finally I just left. There are plenty of other places to get gas and sundries where you won't be treated poorly by some miserable person on a power trip. This place is an absolute joke. I came here one night to fill my gas tank and noticed it was taking unusually long. I went to check on it, and gas was pouring all down the side of my car and had overflowed so much that it then proceeded to pour down Ventura boulevard. There was an employee working the overnight shift that I spoke to and he basically laughed in my face and informed me that I didnt pump the gas correctly even though I advised him that it was on the automatic shut off. I called the next day and spoke to a supervisor and he said that he would look into the video tape to determine whether it was 76's fault or my own. All I wanted was for him to refund the difference for all the overspill of gasoline. I didnt ask for a full refund just the difference in what did not make it into my gas tank. I was told I would be receiving a call later on in the day or the following day which never happened. I work on Ventura and frequent this gas station. I will never be returning. Although the money was refunded, I did not realize the price until I decided to exchange it due to alcohol level being 62%. Cashier was hesitant to return the money.
