Thank god for Rafi! I took my 2018 Mercedes CLA for a brake pad change. When I got there Rafi instantly spotted that the left hand front wheel had no lug nuts. He straight away put the car on the hoist and found the wheel totally jammed on the hub. I cannot explain how this happened but Rafi spent two hours getting the wheel off before changing the pads and rotors. He didn't want to bill me for all the labor so he flushed the brake system and lubricated the calipers as part of the job. He was updating both my husband and I throughout the process. I have a 2012 c250. After expending over 7,600 at Mercedes Benz B.H. my car came back with a weird noise coming from the engine. I went back, they reinspect and told me that everything was fine. Next day I was at Auto Plaza asking for a second opinion. I'd showed Rafi all the receipts from MB. He told me I should not drive and give the car back to MB. The warranty on my car recently expired so of course my car began to have some issues. Nothing major I hoped, but a small low-voltage warning began appearing on my dash. Of course I couldn't take it to the dealership anymore, so to yelp I turned! I live in the lower part of the valley so throw a rock and you'll hit 3 mechanics. Finding one you can trust is another story. Two things immediately brought me to Rafi and the Auto Plaza... First was of course the current 5-star record across 20 reviews. We all know on this site that's an accomplishment. Second, was location and convenience. The Auto Plaza is located right at Ventura/Laurel Canyon. After I dropped my car, it wasn't more than 5 minutes before one of the metro rapid buses whisked me away back to work via the red line. Something you definitely can't do if you try to get all they way up to one of those shops at Sherman Way or Oxnard, and makes a big difference not having to call a friend or depend on someone else to pick you up. Anyway, after bringing the car in for a diagnosis - the problem proved to be a bit of an enigma. Throughout the whole process Rafi kept me informed and provided ALL the options. He really explains each one and makes you feel comfortable about the recommendations. No hard sell, just the straight truth. He easily could have charged me for a slew of "precautionary" work and parts - something you expect at the dealer or even most shops - but not Rafi. 5 stars well deserved and highly recommended! read more

I'd originally took my car to BMW Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys. My AC was blowing warm. They charged me $195 to "look" at the issue. THEN proceeded to call me and tell me I needed to replace my condenser and it would be $1600. I also needed to replace my motor mounts and oil cooler housing leak and service. I went and picked my car up and brought it to Rafi at Auto Plaza. He immediately knew I didn't need a new condenser. He refilled my coolant levels and vacuumed to check for holes or leaks. He kept my car over the weekend to see if there were any leaks. On Monday he called to report he didn't find any leaks. He then proceeded to replace my motor mounts and fix/service my cooler housing leak. Rafi is honest and educates you on your vehicle. I will never take my car back to BMW service at Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys. They're dishonest and only want money. read more
