Paid $750 for them to damage my car. So I brought in my 99 Cadillac DeVille to be serviced for a starter electrical problem. They assured me that they had an electrical expert and then it would cost $110 just to make a diagnostic. I was OK with this as I was forewarned by my tow truck driver that Place charges dealership prices. He recommended me bringing my car to a AAA certified mechanic in Burbank but my car had broken down just down the road from Firestone so I decided to just make it easy on myself. Boy, do I wish that I listened to my tow truck driver. They called me a few days later letting me know that they had to do some work on it. He told me it would be 500 and then a few seconds later he said 650 and then he said 750. For the life of me, I can't understand why he didn't just tell me what the price was and he kept raising it over the phone call. It was extremely confusing. So I show up when it's finally ready and it's been raining for a few hours. I see that my driver side window has been down the entire time and rain has flooded all over my power window buttons. I let the guy know, he goes outside and wipes down the panel and raises the window, but the damage has already been done and now I'm having issues with my power windows. So he charges me the money, I grab the keys, and go out to the car. I discovered that my car antenna has been snapped completely off and now I can't even receive half of the radio stations in Los Angeles that I was receiving perfectly clear no matter where I was in the city. Then on the front right of my car, the turn signal light has been completely popped out and is hanging by a wire. I have to tape it back on and the light no longer works. I bring in the car the very next day and talk to the manager, Greg. I let him know what's going on and he immediately tries to work on the car, but he can't really do much. He was very helpful and I don't mean to take out anything on him because as soon as I let him know, he tried his best to help me. That being said, I have never felt so wronged by a mechanic in my life. I have problems with my power windows. My front light doesn't work and my antenna is completely snapped off. Overall, may be the worst mechanic experience I've ever had. I feel like I paid somebody to damage my car. Overall, I'm going to have to not recommend. read more

I've been here twice and they've been incredibly kind both times. They're fast, have excellent customer service, fair pricing, and really go the extra mile. As a woman, I sometimes find auto shops a little intimidating, but these guys are honestly great. They made me feel super comfortable and were genuinely really nice. I asked if they could check my oil, and even though the level was basically fine and only needed a tiny bit, they just topped it off and didn't charge me. Like seriously, so nice!! The first time I came they were great too...honestly not one bad thing to say about them. I usually go to my dealership for oil changes and stuff like that, but after my second great experience here, I'll just come here from now on. They've definitely earned my business. I had gone to the location in studio city at 8am yesterday. The guy there asked how he could help I informed him that my brakes felt off. I told him my neighbor had changed the front ones about 6 months ago and he grabbed a flashlight and said they looked fine and to take it back to my neighbor to change the brakes. I found that to be very dismissive and unprofessional. I felt very uncomfortable. I then took it to the location in North Hollywood and they did a full inspection and showed me how bad the brakes and rotors were. read more

Last October (2024), my boyfriend and I had driven from Modesto to LA to go to Universal Studios. As soon as we were about to exit the freeway into LA, a truck driver let us know our brake lights had died. Both were not working and we would have to drive 6 hours back up to Modesto in just a couple days, which would be very scary to do without brake lights. When we arrived to our hotel in Universal Studios, I started to look for places I could take the car. I was pretty nervous since we are from out of town and I don't know what is a reputable auto place in LA. I called first, and they were very friendly and told us to come in. When we came in, they got to us right away even though they were super busy. Our brake lights took a lot of strength and time to come out for some reason, but they kept trying and got a few people out to come help. We were on vacation so wanted to start our vacation quickly, but of course didn't want to rush them. They were all about being quick though and got it done in less than an hour even though it took a lot of work getting the brake lights out. At the end, the price was amazing! I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it cost $30 or even less! I know brake lights are cheap, but I always expect an up charge from places and it did take some work to get them out so I thought it'd be a heftier price. It really gave us peace of mind driving back home. I highly recommend! read more

I've used Firestone so many times but this last time when I needed new tires getting a quote was messy. I had a verbal quote for 2 different tires (all 4) and when I asked them to email me the quote to see which ones I wanted, the price nearly doubled. When I asked why that happened the guy didn't answer. One time he told me his computer was down. I found it dishonest. I bought the same tires some place else. read more

Mixed feelings on this one. I know the guy at the front desk isn't the reason that they were running so far behind, but they could have handled this way better. To be told that I have to wait 2 hours for an oil change when I had an appointment is unreal. Then when I expressed surprise (albeit, I might've come across more irritated than I meant to), I was told that my expectations were too high and if I wanted a 20 minute oil change then to go somewhere else. I'm not an idiot. I didn't expect it to take 20 minutes but there's a big difference between 20 minutes and 2 hours. This is a time management issue where they overextended themselves to take on more, and make more money. Which is fine but that shouldn't delay people who planned ahead. They should've apologized for being behind, rather than trying to make me feel dumb for expecting them to run on time. That said, they ended up doing it in under an hour and the next guy that I spoke to on my way out seemed super polite. So I guess I'd say, come in with low expectations and they'll probably exceed them but don't be surprised if they won't honor your appointment. read more

I want to share my experience, which I was extremely dissatisfied with! I ordered Firestone Destination LE3 tires with white lettering in advance on your official website because I wanted not only quality but also a nice-looking tire. When I arrived at the scheduled time, l asked to see the new tires, and they turned out to be without the white brand lettering. I asked Joshua, a store employee, to find the tires I had ordered, but he said he couldn't find them. I was very upset. Before the installation, I asked the technician if all the tires would be from 2025. He assured me they would be. After the installation, I checked the tires and saw that two were from 2025 and two were from 2024. I pointed this out to the technician, and he responded that they are new and haven't been installed for anyone else. When I paid at the register, I was charged $30 more than the agreed price on the website - $842.88. Despite the deception, they didn't even offer scount. Why sell something you don't have? read more

I gave a good review before , that was a different location on Sherman way before , unfortunately the store is closed :( . I took my car yesterday for check up after they did 1600$ job for fuel pump. Now the car is wasting so much gas , after using the car 20 minutes one bar from gas goes down , and after fuel pump was change the car give start and dies, to make the story short , I left car yesterday by 5 with the promise it was gonna be checked early morning , and is almost 2 and they haven't even started checking. I they told me the person who can do job call sick , there must be someone else who can perform the job . As costumer if I left car from yesterday I should be more value, I paid already 1600 dolares. read more

But 2 things they need to work on. 1) they called me when we put down to text because we ARE DEAF and seem they don't read it and how that works for accessibility?! 2) I don't appreciated seeing my SUV window was left open without anyone present! And its heavy raining day so what if it rains again and leave my suv get wet inside or anyone can rob something in it?! I don't appreciated it! My husband informed them and they apologized & said they need to move cars because of no room parking. It doesn't matter, always keep the windows closed for any safety period for customers. Unfortunately, my Firestone location, within walking distance closed because of too much development in North Hollywood area. I wanted to take my car for an oil change and put air in the tire (had my tires changed last year at my location). I made an appointment online for the Studio City location based on proximity and good reviews. I scheduled it for Monday at 1 pm. Since I didn't get any confirmation via email or text, I called Monday morning and they didn't have me for 1 pm, their system doesn't work, so don't bother with online system, call. I made another appointment for 1 pm next day, Tuesday. We got there ahead of time and the parking lot was crazy, in dire need of a valet! We couldn't get in, we had to double park, my husband ran inside to check with front desk and I stayed in the car in case I needed to move the car. It was crazy, people were leaving. My husband came back and told me that they can't take care of us, even if we had an appointment, they didn't bother to call to cancel. They scheduled us for Thursday at 9 am, which is an inconvenience on many levels work schedule as well. Josh promised a discount. Fast forward, got there on Thursday, Josh wasn't there, the guy who took care us didn't seem to care much about our situation, but he did promise to get the work done in an hour. We don't mind waiting, we just want to have the car worked on. We had to stay there and their location and waiting room are very small. You hear every conversation and when Whitney came in to work she wanted to turn the TV on, we asked her not to, between calls and people walking in, it's hard to check an email or read a magazine. Everything is very close together so not ideal during Covid. Many people showed up and they were all helped or promised to have work done in an hour and a half, jus walking off the street. So why we were turned back when we had a booking? Well, it's an upscale area, they have their elitist regulars and we were new to the party so we weren't the cool kids. Insulting! Finally our car was ready, they said they needed to do more repairs but we couldn't leave the car there, they couldn't give us a lift, just to rent a car and be reimbursed didn't seem ideal. We took the car after oil change since it wasn't anything urgent. We checked their list against paperwork at home, one of their repairs was done last year, same rate, too. So I don't know how much I can trust these folks. Also, everything was so hectic and we were so concerned to leave the parking lot, for the first time in my life I didn't check the tires or look for the mileage label till we got home. So pretty bad not to be able to focus on what you went there for. Don't get the good reviews! I won't be back, they can keep their elitist clients, I don't need to be treated as a second class citizen, I'll find an indie garage in my walking area thank you very much! Don't need to bother them with my business! Didn't like the treatment here and don't want to be disrespected like that again! read more

On 9/14/2024 at around 11:30am, my partner and I called and scheduled an appointment to have my brake pads changed. During the call, we provided the make and model of my BMW, and said that we wouldn't be able to bring my car in on a weekday due to my work schedule. The guy on the line then confirmed my appointment for 9/15/2024 at 11:00am. We showed up today, 9/15/2024, for my appointment, only to find out that they rescheduled my appointment for tomorrow (Monday), without notice. The representative at the desk claimed they notified us in the "confirmation email" of the new appointment time, and they needed to reschedule the appointment because they didn't have the parts in stock for my BMW. (Again, they knew the make and model of my car when we called, yet moved forward with scheduling the appointment.) I checked my email and never received anything. The representative then showed me the email address they had on file--my first and last name @gmail.com--which was terribly misspelled. (My first name is Pola, and the email address started off with "poal." My last name in the email was also misspelled.) They also had the correct phone number on file, yet never called to let me know about the schedule change. After confirming the typo in the email, the representative just said "Ah, that makes sense." No apology whatsoever. We wasted our time coming in, and all he offered was to reschedule us again. Ridiculous business. read more
